Well its been a year since Leo and Lily have been together. The rest of the guys were kinda happy for their brother. Sometimes though Leo just needs to take a walk every now and then. This is one of those walks.

Leo's POV: I was on one of my usual walks until I heard a whimper. I tried to find it but no luck at all. I kept walking until the whimper grew louder. I could hear someone cursing. I dislike cursing for many reasons. I followed the voice too see where it was coming from. I then saw a man beating a puppy. The poor thing it was suffering all because it messed up the owner's bed. I couldn't just stand there and watch a guy beat up a defenseless puppy. So I walked in though I imagined it differently in my head.

Leo:" LEAVE THE PUPPY ALONE!!"

Guy:" WHO are and WHAT are you??"

Leo:"I'm your most terrifying nightmare!"

Guy:" Oh yeah prove it!!!!"

Leo:" I think you don't want me to do that."

Guy:" come on fight me you freak!"

The guy then swung the belt that he was using to beat the puppy with at Leo. He dodged it. He then threatened the guy so bad that the guy ran away. Because Leo had him pinned down on the wall by the neck there for choking him.

Leo:" if I ever catch you beating on a defenseless animal again its over with ya do you understand stand me?!!!"

Guy:" Yes sir I understand you crystal clear!!"

Leo: " Now leave and don't ever let me catch you doing it again so be careful with what you do cause I have eyes all over the city!!"

Guy:" yes sir!!"

Leo let's the guy go and watches him run like a freak. He then fixes his attention towards the puppy.

Leo's POV: I looked at the puppy and it looked back at me. Its eyes were sparkling blue but were also filled with fear from torture. I knew then that this puppy was meant for me. I kneeled down on both knees and it backed away and ran into a couch. I got closer and it went underneath the couch. Poor thing its so scared it doesn't even know what to think. I reached my hand underneath the couch and heard growling. Then it bit me but not to bad. I jerked my hand out off its mouth and grip. I then said in my mind W.W.D.D(what would Donnie do). I thought for second and put my plan to action. I reached my hand out and closed my eyes hoping for the best. Next thing I know I feel the puppy's cold wet nose. I was actually pretty surprised and impressed that it worked. It then came up to me and sat in my lap I unzipped my jacket and put the puppy inside. It was shivering cold outside that's why I'm wearing a jacket and some jeans. I finally managed to find a man hole. I lifted the lid but making sure I didn't hurt the puppy. I then jumped in and caught my balance I replaced the to where I found it. As I walked I could the warm breathing of the pup in my jacket. I thought of some names for it but then remembered I had to ask Master Splinter for permission to keep the puppy. I finally arrived back to the lair. Everyone was watching football as I snuck into the kitchen. Then I realized Raph wasn't there then I knew that what ever I had to do to do it quickly. I then heard footsteps behind me I looked to find out it was only Donnie.

Donnie: " what cha got there Leo? "

Leo unzipped his jacket to reveal the puppy.

Donnie:" where did you get it?"

Leo:" I found someone beating it so I stepped in to take of things."

He said with a smile on his face as those last words came out of his mouth.

Donnie:" did it bite you?"

Leo:"Why do you ask?"

Donnie: " Because your hand is bleeding!"

He sounded very concerned about his brother's wound.

Donnie:" Come to my lab so that way I clean out your wound and I do a check up on the puppy. "

Leo:" Thanks Donnie."

Donnie:" it's the least I can do for you."

In the lab

Donnie:" This little guy is not very healthy he only weighs 10 pounds and he has some wounds that can be cleaned."

Leo:"So the puppy is a boy?"

Donnie:"that's what I just said isn't it."

They both heard a knock on the door it was Raph.

Leo:" Come in."

Raph:" Hey Leo, hey Donnie, hey puppy. "

He then started to ask a question but then realized he said hey to a puppy. Master Splinter then walked in and saw the puppy.

MS:" Leonardo I see you've brought home an adorable puppy meaning there is a question following that if I'm correct. "

Leo:" May I keep him?"

MS:" Can you take of him properly and nurture him back to health?"

Leo:" Yes sensei! "

MS:" Very well then you may keep him."

Leo:" Thank you so much sensei!"

MS:"It brings me joy to see that you have a new responsibility at hand."

Leo scoops the puppy of the table and holds him.

Leo:" I think I'll call you Jack. "

Donnie:"it suits him very well."

The next morning

Lily's POV: I just woke up and I felt something warm on my chest. Then I saw an adorable skinny puppy. Poor thing but my question to my self is how did it get in here. I got out of bed making sure not to wake the sleeping pup. It looked so peaceful. I went downstairs to find Leo sleeping on the couch. So I get breakfast started and of course the puppy came downstairs cause it smelled bacon. Leo then woke up as the others did so I got ready to ask who's puppy it was.

Lily: " Who's puppy is this?"

Leo:"Mine."

Lily:" He's cute."

Leo said thanks as he wrapped his arms around Lily's waist. The puppy then looked at the two with confusion.

Lily:" So how long do you get to keep him?"

Leo:" As long as I like. "

Lily:"What's his name? "

Leo:"Jack "

Lily:" Nice name it fits him and you do realize its going to be fun trying to give him a bath right?"

Leo:"I did not think of that."

Lily then laughs at him. Leo then pulls away from her and gives her the same look the puppy did.

Leo:"What's so funny? "

Lily:"Nothing only me imagining you trying to give that puppy a bath."

Leo:"I'll prove you wrong."

He the went to the bathroom to start the water and to make sure it was warm.

Leo's POV: I was getting the water ready for Jack's bath. When I went to go get him he just disappeared. He was no where to be found. Then I saw his little tail poking out of a floor cabinet in the kitchen. I opened the cabinet and grabbed Jack. I carried him to the bathroom and put him in the tub. I struggled so much that I didn't even realize I was almost finished soaking him. I just finished getting the soap on him and then he jumps out. The door was opened so he escaped. He then bumped into April who was just walking in thankfully making him stop. He then try to escape her but failed. Not so tough now Jack.

April:" Aww what a cute puppy but my question is who's puppy is it? "

Leo:"Mine and his name is jack."

April:" well at least I know that its yours and not Mikey's. "

Leo: " True"

April:" How long have you had him?"

Leo:" a day actually. "

April then focused on Donnie who was across the room then started to hand Leo his puppy back then walked over to him.

Leo's POV: Now time to finish the job. I put him back in the tub and rinsed the soap of him. He was so dirty I had to fill the tub a second time. I then noticed two little blue stripes under his eyes. Well that's weird if you know what I mean. I then took a towel to dry him off with. I wrapped him in it to keep him warm. I then walked into the kitchen and opened the refrigerator to get this little guy something to eat. I then reached into the dish cabinet and pulled out a plastic bowl. I took the leftovers from last night and put them in the bowl. I took the bowl over to the microwave to warm the food up for Jack. This guy is lucky that lily cooked it and not Mikey. The microwave went off and I opened the door and pulled out the food and set it on the floor. I then put jack down and watched him unravel out of the towel. A smile appeared on my face as I watched him eat. I then walked away and sat on the couch. I turned on the TV and my favorite show was on SPACE HEROS. As the show went off I felt something warm and fuzzy on my lap. I looked down to find jack sleeping in peace.
