The pups began to run now. The sound of rain hitting the concrete and thunder crashing in the sky was heard. They were both panting while running to any place they could find to hide from the lightning because the ditch they were hiding in got filled with rain. Zuma's legs were still really weak, and he got tired really fast. Come on. Just a little longer. We're almost at a shelter. THEN, I'll be able to rest.

Suddenly, the storm cleared up. "Finally!" Said Charm. While they were cheering about the storm ending, they spotted a blue and green striped surfboard. "A surfboard?" Zuma proclaimed. 

"Weird! If there's a surfboard here, there must be a beach around," said Charm. Zuma's spirits were then lifted and he didn't feel so bad now that he knew there might be a beach nearby. 

They then heard a gun click and feet running towards them. Somebody was chasing them. Zuma and Charm began to speed away to wherever they can find. Charm glanced back and saw a lady about 40 years old with a gun getting ready to shoot them. Uh oh.

While they were running away from the lady with the gun, they saw it. The awesome beach. Zuma's eyes literally popped out of his head and he completely forgot about how tired he was. He ran speedy fast to the surfboard and grabbed it with his teeth carrying it to the beach. "Come on Chawm!" Yelled Zuma with the board in his mouth. 

While she ran towards Zuma, the lady aimed the gun at Charm.

When Zuma saw the gun being pointed at Charm, he dropped the surfboard on the floor, and ran straight up to the lady. Right before she pulled the trigger, he kicked her in the back of her knees causing her to fall backwards on top of Zuma knocking her out cold. Zuma was smashed underneath the woman and the bullet missed Charm. Zuma was so glad. 

Charm then pulled Zuma out from under the lady and kissed him on the cheek. "Oh, Zuma. You're awesome."

"You awe too Chawm," Zuma smiled at Charm and they walked to the surfboard. They got on it and went into the water. The waves then pushed them far away from the shore sending them far away into the ocean.
