Stranded?
Zuma and Charm tried to hold onto each other's paws, but the wind from the tornado tore them apart. "Chawm!" Zuma yelled feeling around for her paw, but grabbing nothing.
"Zuma!" He heard his name being called, but fading off into the distance. The fast wind showed no mercy as it separated them miles away from each other. Zuma wasn't able to see anything, because the paint that was in the detergent bottle was still in his eyes. He who was in darkness, was unable to see anything around him, but only feel the strong wind carrying him across the sky. Zuma began to freak out.
With the wind sending him flying in all kinds of directions, Zuma felt his body slam into something in the tornado. "Ouch," Zuma heard and turned toward the direction of the familiar voice.
"Hey Zuma," he heard Chase say.
"Chase! It's you," Zuma said relieved he wasn't alone.
Suddenly, the wind abruptly stopped blowing and they were dropped to the ground. "Oooow," Zuma said softly when Chase landed on top of him.
"Whoops, sorry Zuma." They got up and dusted themselves off. "It's okay Chase." Zuma said blinking trying to clear his eyes from the white paint blocking his vision. "Hey, do you know whewe we awe?"
Chase looked all around them, but found no source of life or water nearby. "Nope. It looks like we're in the desert." Chase started walking. Zuma heard the sound of Chase's feet crunching in the sand and began to follow. Zuma knew Chase was on his way to look for the rest of the pups, but Zuma had trouble keeping up with him because he was temporarily blind. "Chase, can you slow down? I can't see."
"Fine." And with that, they walked slowly. "Hey, why don't we use our collars to call Whyder!" Zuma exclaimed excitedly. Chase smacked himself in the head and said, "Duh. Why didn't I think of that?"
"I don't know, Chase. Probably because I'm awesome?" Zuma said. Chase rolled his eyes. Zuma didn't see it though. Chase then barked to activate his collar. There was no response. Just the sound of static was heard. "Damn it. There's no signal," Chase said exasperated. "Does your collar work?"
"Ugh. No!" Zuma said equally pissed.
"Looks like we're stranded out here," Chase said whimpering already giving up on finding Ryder and the pups.
"Chase, come on. We can find evewyone if we just keep twying," Zuma said nudging Chase on the shoulder.
Chase cleared his throat a little embarrassed for giving up so easily. "Okay, let's go."
They both began walking slowly, so Zuma wouldn't be left behind.
