"Rise and shine, Sleeping Beauty!" Charm screamed right in Zuma's ear.

"Huh, what?" Zuma jumped up hitting his head on a couple of branches. They were still in the bush. "Ugh..." Then he put a paw to his face because he noticed there were bandaids all over it. "What the?"

"Remember yesterday when you ran into all that glass?" Charm said smirking.

"Oh yeah," said Zuma. Then there was silence. "Uh, Chawm, can I ask you something?"

"Sure," said Charm. 

"Why exactly WERE you at that restaurant that day we met?"

Flashback: Charm's Point of View

I was with my parents and we were being walked by our owner, Charlotte. My mom was telling me about how she met my father, but I didn't get to hear the rest of because we got interrupted by a man about 20 years old yelling for everybody to get away from the beach. A tsunami was coming. Charlotte suddenly picked me up and ran with my parents following close behind to the hill everybody else was running to. But, when I turned around to see the water, I saw it bubbling up and I knew the tsunami was close. People in golf carts drove right past us not even offering us a ride to get away from the ocean. Suddenly, one of the golf carts drove right into Charlotte knocking her down and dropping me. My parents stopped to try to help her up, but Charlotte wouldn't budge. I waited anxiously as they tried to pick her up when out of nowhere my mom yelled, "Go!" I said, "NO! I can't leave you guys. I love you"

"You need to. We love you. You have a life to live. Run, before it's too late."

Charm stopped for a second to blink back tears and swallow. Zuma gently rubbed his nose to her cheek. His eyes were wet with tears. 

Those were the last words I heard them say. I felt my throat choke up when I left them behind. I looked back one last time just in time to see them get swallowed by the tsunami.

Charm's tears began to fall freely now. Zuma kissed her cheek which was soaked in tears. 

I didn't know where I was going, but I just ran and ran until I couldn't run anymore. I knew that I had to get as far away from the screaming and crying and bloody people as possible. Then I spotted a restaurant. I walked in and hid behind a booth because animals weren't allowed in there without an owner and I saw you. 

End of Flashback

"That was how I met you, Zuma," sighed Charm. "Now tell me why YOU ended up in that restaurant that day."

"Fine." Said Zuma.
