"Well pups, it looks like you're going to have to sleep inside tonight because it's POURING outside!" Ryder announced. All the pups cheered. 

"You pups go ahead and head off to bed, Zuma and Charm, come with me. You guys need a bath."

Zuma and Charm followed Ryder to the sink. He lifted Charm up and put her in the left side of the sink and placed Zuma in the right side. Zuma and Charm blinked at each other as Ryder scrubbed their fur with water and soap. Zuma and Charm were able to see dirt floating around in the water. It felt so good to finally get washed up, they never wanted it to end. Suddenly, Ryder accidentally rubbed too hard on Zuma's paw causing him to  wince. A few blood droplets came out. 

"Oh sorry Zuma," Ryder said. 

"It's okay Whyder," said Zuma.  

"What happened to you guys anyways? You have more scars and injuries I can count!"

"Well, it's a long story," Charm replied. The pups then took turns telling Ryder everything about what happened to them before they met him. 

"Hmmm..." Ryder said giving an understanding nod as they explained everything to  him. When they finished, they glanced around and saw the pups' shadows in the doorway. 

"You were listening in the whole time?" Charm asked. 

Shocked that they have been spotted, the pups nodded yes. "Oh," Charm said. "Well that's our story."

"Well, the good thing is that you got a new home where you get  food, shelter, and baths. I really hope you enjoy it in the PAW Patrol," Ryder said.

Zuma smiled. Even though they were there for a short time, he could tell he was going to like living there. His smile grew even bigger when he remembered Charm going down the slide headfirst and them accidentally crashing into each other with their vehicles. He knew he will enjoy working in the PAW Patrol.
