(S1-C1) Secrets Revealed
"It was about time, congrats guys!" Marshall told the two. Chase had finally gotten the courage to confess to Skye and ask her to be his mate. The cockapoo obviously agreed, and they had just gotten back from their date and told everyone about their long-awaited relationship with each other. Everyone, including Ryder, had known about their crushes on each other forever now, so this was something they were dying to hear.
"You pups are growing up so fast. I'm proud of you two, I really am." Proclaimed Ryder. Chase smiled at his owner's appraisal. Now that he had his new mate, he remembered something. The German Shepherd turned to his brother and smiled teasingly.
"Well, looks like your up next, huh buddy?" He asked. The Dalmatian began to blush, knowing what he meant by that. A while back, Marshall had told Chase about his feelings for their husky friend, Everest.
Unfortunately, Chase's statement didn't go completely unnoticed. "What's that supposed to mean, got a crush Marshall?" His owner questioned, wearing a similar smile to the one as Chase.
This just made him blush even more, worried about his most embarrassing secret getting out to the others. "W-What? No, of c-course I don't." He stuttered.
"Hehehe, you sure a certain husky doesn't come to mind?" Ryder asked. Marshall began to feel really nervous. He always thought that he had done at least a decent job at hiding his feelings. But if his friends knew, that meant that there was a chance that Everest knew, which would be even more embarrassing.
Realizing that Chase might have something to do with this, Marshall shot a glare at his brother, who just shrugged with a confused expression. He clearly didn't know that Ryder knew, so at least he didn't say anything. "Uhhhhh nope, no idea what you're talking about" he lied.
"If you say so pup. Oh! By the way, I have some good news." The boy announced. The pups stopped looking at the blushing dally and turned their attention to Ryder. "You see, Jake is going on a two-month vacation to visit his family. That means until he's back, Everest will be living at the lookout with the rest of us!" He announced.
Completely forgetting the conversation they just had, Marshall jumped up in excitement, his tail wagging. "She's staying here for two whole months?! YES!" he yelped, clearly happy. That happiness was quickly replaced with embarrassment though, as he noticed Ryder smirking at him.
"Uhhhh, I-I mean, well, t-thats cool, I gue-" The Dally attempted to say, only to be interrupted by his owner. Unfortunately, his chance to make up some sort of an excuse was put on hold.
"Haha, don't worry pup, I'm just messing with you. However, you should tell her, I'm sure she would feel the same way." He reassured. He wasn't just saying that either. He always kind of knew about the dally's crush, and he was almost positive that Everest returned his feelings.
There was a bit of awkward silence before Marshall finally replied. "It was that obvious huh?" He asked, still slightly embarrassed. He knew that eventually, he would've had to tell the others, but this wasn't how he had imagined doing it.
Being the first of the pups to say anything, Zuma spoke up. "Yeah, we kind of all knew you had a cwush on hew. But don't wowwy dude, we won't say anything, wight guys?" The rest of the pups nodded in agreement.
Marshall smiled and thanked, then turned back to Ryder. "When will she be here anyway?" He questioned, hoping he was masking his excitement. He rarely got to see Everest these days, and now she would be staying with him for two whole months. It almost seemed like a dream come true.
"She should be here any minute now actually, Jake said she'd be here just about now." Ryder answered, pretending to not see Marshall's dreamy expression.

Everest was just about to finish up packing for her stay at the lookout, but there was one thing she still couldn't find. "Jake! Where are the liver treats?" The husky yelled from inside the cabin. She was in a bit of a rush herself, and not just because she was running late.
"Don't worry, I already put them in your bag. Now let's go, I told Ryder that you would be there in like 5 minutes." Replied her owner as she ran outside with her stuff. Jake smiled seeing how excited his dog looked, and he knew exactly why too.
"Alright girl, have fun, and tell Marshall I said hi." He joked, sending her a teasing wink as well. Everest just rolled her eyes and scoffed at her owner's remark.
"How did you even find out about that? I doubt Skye told you, and I know that I definitely didn't." She asked, genuinely curious. She had always thought it wasn't too obvious she had a crush on Marshall.
"Oh that's simple, you talk in your sleep." Jake answered, speaking in a voice that was far too calm for Everest, whose face immediately turned red from pure embarrassment. This was completely news to her, and it was not good news either.
"I do?!" She exclaimed, clearly caught off guard. The boy laughed at her surprise and gave her a pat on the head, hoping it might ease her a bit.
"Yep, and if you don't believe me, I took some videos I can show you if you want". Jake said with a mischievous smirk on his face. Everest got even redder, at this point she looked like her crushes' firetruck."
JAKE WHAT THE HECK! DELETE THOSE NOW!" She yelled in embarrassment.
"Hahaha, nah I was just kidding about the video part." He replied. Everest stuck her tongue out at him. Jake bent down and pat her head again. "But really, have fun, and stay out of trouble," Jake told her.
Everest smiled and gave her owner a friendly lick. "I will don't worry. And you have fun with your family." She replied as she jumped into her vehicle. "Bye Jake!" She called out as she started to drive away.
"Bye Everest, see ya in two months, dude!" Jake replied as she drove off. The boy smiled, happy that his pup would be able to enjoy some time with her friends. The Paw Patrol was almost like a second family at this point.

After about fifteen minutes of driving, Everest finally pulled into the lookout. Once she got out of her snowcat, she noticed Marshall running up to her.
"Hi, Everest!" He greeted happily. The husky couldn't help but smile at his presence. It had been so long since she had gotten to spend some quality time with the dally, and she was more than glad to have the opportunity.
"Hi Marshall, how have you been?" She asked. Marshall shrugged in response. There really wasn't much to talk about, the only things that ever happened were missions and then just hanging out with the others.
"Nothing too interesting. Well actually, there was one thing, but I think Skye should be the one to tell you." He answered. Although Everest was curious about what had happened with Skye, right now she had to get some things done.
"Ok, I'll talk to her about that later. I've got to unpack all my stuff, you wanna help?" She offered, hoping he might want to hang out with her some. To her delight, Marshall's tail started to wag faster than it already was.
"Of course!" He replied excitedly. Everest smiled and pressed the button on her snowcat that would normally turn it back into its puphouse form. However, to her surprise, nothing seemed to happen.
"Wait what? Why won't my snowplow turn back into a puphouse?" She asked, clearly confused. Marshall tilted his head at her, just as curious as she was. They almost never had their equipment not work, especially their vehicles and houses.
"It's not? That's weird." He stated, equally as confused. Then, in an act of trying to keep his crush from getting worried, Marshall turned and called out for his leader, knowing he'd have some type of solution.
Within just a few seconds, Ryder appeared. "Hey Everest, glad you could make it. What's wrong?" He asked, seeing the confused expressions on both the pup's faces.
"Everest's snowcat won't turn back into her puphouse." Marshall explained as the husky nodded in agreement. Ryder walked up to her snowcat and pressed the button, and just as they had said, nothing happened.
"Huh, That's weird. Well, me and Rocky will check on it later. Don't worry about it girl, we'll get it fixed soon. Now you two go and some fun." Ryder said.
"Well now, what do you want to do?" Marshall asked as he turned back to the husky. Everest smiled and moved her face closer to his, causing him to blush slightly. Without any warning, she brought her paw up to his nose and lightly tapped it.
"Tag!" The husky yelled as she started to run off. After shaking his slight embarrassment away, the dally realized what had just happened. Then, he stood up quickly and chased after her, although she was already a good distance away.
"Hey, that's not fair! At least give me a warning!" Marshall called out. Both pups laughed a bit, it was kinda of immature, but they were never ones to be super serious. Right now, they just wanted to enjoy the other's company.
Ryder couldn't help but smile at the two. Sometimes he felt like his pups were starting to grow up too fast. "I hope everything works out for those two."
