Kayla POV

Mommy walked over to me while I was playing with Maddie. I knew it was time for my fur to be trimmed, but I liked it long and silky.

"Ma, do I have to get my fur done?"

Mom nodded, picked me up, and hoped on Ryder's four wheeled thingamabob. He drove us down and let me hop off.

I walked in and greeted Cali with a smile. She is very grumpy today... and everyday... though she hasn't been as grumpy lately. I jumped into my warm bath. It felt pretty good until I had to get out.

Then, Katie brushed my fur. It felt even more silky than before. After that she cut it, which I didn't really like.

"Thanks, Katie," Mommy said. "Anything we owe you?" Katie shook her head nonchalantly before walking over to Ryder.

"Mommy, can I see how I look?"

My fur was now short with a small wave. It was still its normal brown color, and my ears were perked up from hearing Ryder talking.

"I kind of like it," I said, smiling.

Welp! Not a long one but I find Kayla ADORABLE!
