Rocky POV.

*Alarm clock rings*

"Aaahhhh," I groaned at the sound of my Alarm clock ringing. I woke up and just sat on my bed for a minute because I was half asleep. I checked the time.

"What it's 7:30 but I ugh," I said and got up to go get dressed. I put on my Green top and my Black jeans and yes I put underwear on. I brushed my teeth and I headed downstairs for breakfast.

"What are you doing Rocky your going to be late for school,' My Mum said.

"Yeah I know Mum umm..Where's the cereal?' I asked.

"In the top-left cupboard son," She said.

"Thanks Mum," I said.

I ate my cereal as fast as I could, nearly choking to death and I packed my bag.

"Boy, you are going to miss the bus," My Dad said.

"Don't worry, I won't," I said.

"That kid doesn't know what he's doing," He said.

"I think he does," Mum said. They kissed. Yuck, I can't imagine kissing someone. I ran out of my house and down the street as fast my legs could possibly move me. I got there and the bus would be there in approximately 3 minutes.

"Hey, Nerdky," The voice rang through my head. It was Slater. Class clown, idiot and the most infamous person in Year 12. If I knew anything about Slater is that he comes up with the stupidest nicknames for people, that don't make any sense and he is not even good at being class clown. If I was going to give him a title it would be 'Stupid Slater' pretty simple right but it feels right enough to make him feel wrong. 

"You see what I did there, Nerd plus Rocky equals Nerdky," He said.

"Haha, so unoriginal," I said sarcastically.

"Unoriginal? I made that one myself," He said. Note to self Slater doesn't understand any kind of sarcasm and can't take a joke probably because he's too focused on coming up with his own stupid joke. Doesn't seem that hard, well maybe for him.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him.

"Same as you catching the bus, I thought you were smart Nerdky but the real question is what are you doing here?" He said. Is this guy dumb oh wait never mind I already knew that but he just went from vice principal of stupidity to Head Master Stupid.

"Catching the bus," I said.

"Why, I thought you were teachers pet, always so perfect?" He said. Yeah, if imperfect were Slater than yes. Which he probably is.

"Do you think you can make it to school before the bell?" He asked me. These are the questions that make it awkward to have a conversation with him.

"Yeah," I said. The bus approached us. As the bus came to a halt suddenly Slater took my bag and throws into the bush all the way at the back.

"Hey, what was that for," I said. He had already ran into the bus.

"See you at school Nerdky or not," He said before laughing like a maniac. How will I get to school now. No more buses are going to where i'm going. Looks like it's time to use my invention. Story time. So over the holidays my Dad for Christmas got me some electronic pieces which I begged for from him through some adult like persuasion, thank you debating. With those pieces I built a flight pack. So, I guess it's times to test it. I ran over to the nearest alley way.

"Yuck it stinks in here," I said. I put on my aerodynamic suit and then my flight pack. I pressed the button on my chest which popped the wings out. I then pressed the flight button. It didn't work.

"Come on work you stupid-woaahhh," I screamed as I launched into the air. I like to call myself the flying falcon. As I flew over the streets and houses, many people saw me.

"Look Dad, there's a flying man," I heard a boy say.

"Yes, son I can see it," The dad said not paying attention to his son at all. Kind a like my dad. I chuckled. I approached the school and flew down to the nearest alley way to the school. I crashed into a bunch of garbage bags.

"OWWWWW, EWWWWW!" I screamed. I took of the flight pack and suit and put it into my bag stumbling over my feet taking the suit off. I ran around to the front of the school. Kids were heading of to there lockers collecting books. I stood near the the schools entrance. The bus pulled in to the front of the school. Slater walked out.

"Hey, Slater!" I shouted. He stood there shocked and surprised mouth wide open. As I walked towards the entrance doors the school bell rang. I felt like the doors just bursted open without me even touching them and I walked in.
