Rocky's POV
The rain was getting worse, and the sound of water dripping was driving me crazy. Zuma suggested we played pup-pup boogie. I thought it was a great idea.

"With the new pup-pup boogie, we can play up to eight players!" explains Skye.

Skye and Zuma were the best at pup-pup boogie.

Chase wakes up Rubble and we set up the game. My board is placed between Chase's and Zuma's. We hit start.

Chase's POV
Left, right, up, down, left, left, up down.

I try to keep up with the pace. I start sweating up. Then the round ends.

5th?! Come on! I look like an embarrassment in front of Skye right now. I need to get my game face on.

Rocky's POV
Woah. Zuma got second. He's really good. I got 4th place. Not too bad. But I can do better.

The second round begins. I carefully follow the steps. Right, right, up, down. This is easy!

I decide to pick up the pace. Right right up left down left up right left left downuprightleft downupupup-

I went too fast and crashed, face first. The round was over.

I'm surprised that I made it all the way to third place after my crash. But then I look at Rubble. He fell asleep. If he were awake, i'd still be in fourth.

We play another round. I was only getting pumped up. This time, I was carefully following every step. In the end, Zuma failed a tailspin and crashed into Skye. I check the podium.

Second place! And Zuma went down to 5th? Wow. That was fast. I notice Chase smirking at Skye, pointing up to the leaderboard. She gives him a 'not for long!' face.

Suddenly, Ryder walks into the room with Everest. "Hey pups! Everest and I are gonna play too!"

I scoff. Everest? But I was actually curious to see how good Ryder was.

The fourth round begins. Stay focused. Up, left, down down right, down, left, up up right.

This wasn't my best round. I was a bit distracted.

Okay, this definetly wasn't my round. But wow. Marshall, who was usually hanging in last place, sprung up to first after Everest showed up.

Zuma came in first again. I congratulate him and give him a fist bump.

We play a final round. It was much harder than the other rounds. Up-left right down down-left left right up tailspin right up down down tailspin left left.

I was exhausted. But I felt proud. I survived the final round.

Third place! That's pretty good! But Marshall and Everest got really good scores. I still won't get a good overall score. I check the total amount of points.

Fourth place. Hey. For someone who never played this game before, I did pretty well, if I do say so myself.

Marshall's POV
I was really surprised about Everest. She only came in for two rounds, and already got 140 points! In my first two rounds, I only got 30 points! So if she played with us all five rounds, I'm sure she could demolish Skye and Zuma! And me. Woah.

Chase's POV
180 points. Kinda embarrassing. It's just a game, anyway. It doesn't matter. I go to my puphouse in the rain. My fur coat was a bit wet, but it didn't matter. Once I get in my puphouse, I dry myself off quickly.

"Chase? May I come in?"

"Sure," I reply.

Skye steps into my puphouse and closes the door behind her. She was soaking wet.

"Skye, you're all wet," I point out.

She looked at the puddle that she made in my puphouse. "Oh, sorry."

"No no no that doesn't matter. You're wet! Let me get you a towel!" I say.

Skye nods. I get her a towel in which she wrapped herself in. Once she dried off, she lied down beside me.

I could hear every single drop of rain pouring down from the sky. The sound of rainfall is relaxing.

"Oh, you're so warm," she smiles, resting her soft head on mine.

She nuzzles my fur, running her nose up and down along my chest. It felt amazing.

"Chase, I wanna stay like this forever."

I sigh. "I wish we could."

"If we ever get separated, or if anything happens to you, I'm gonna miss you so much. I'd start crying Chase. Promise you'll never leave my side."

I gently placed my paw on hers. "I promise."

"I don't know what I will do if something happens to you. You're the best pup anyone could ever have. I mean it." Tears of sadness were rolling down her cheeks.

I wipe off her tears, comforting her.

"Skye," I say. "I've always acted so nervous around you. Since the day you joined us, I'd always outdo myself just to try and look good for you. I was confident until I met you. You took my confidence, and locked it in your heart. The sight of anything and everything you do is absolutely amazing. You took over my mind. Every single thought I had was about you, and I couldn't change that no matter how hard I tried. You have the most amazing personality, and you're stunning and beautiful. Skye, I've been meaning to tell you this since the day I met you. I love you."

A pause of silence.

"I love you too," she says, sobbing quietly. I never saw her like this. Ever.

"Chase, I have a present for you."

She left me a wrapped gift with a blue bow on the top. With that, she leaves my house.

I gently pick up the gift, and carefully unwrap it.

It was a picture book. I open it. Skye's scrapbook. I look at the pages. It was full of pictures of Skye and I through the years. This scrapbook must be a couple of years old. I look at every picture with a huge pain in my heart. At the end, a video note was attached, along with the writing: For Chase.

I play the audio.

I close the book. I start to cry. It was the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me. I held the book tightly in my arms and treated it with loving care.

Rocky's POV
The rain stopped. I go outside for some fresh air. There's nothing better the feeling after the rain stops. I sit down by the wet grass, and look into the sunset. Its bright orange hue reflected onto the land.

Zuma comes and joins me. "Hey, good job on pup pup boogie today," he says.

"You did really well too," I reply.

"Yeah, but I'm an expert. You're just beginning to leawn the basics, dude."

"Does that give me beginners luck?" I joke.

Zuma laughs. "Hey, look. A rainbow!"

He points to the sky. He was right. A big rainbow arched over Adventure Bay. I was surprise Zuma noticed this, because he usually keeps head down to earth.

"Today was really fun," he says.

"Yeah it was," I chuckle, thinking back about today.

"You know Wocky," he says. "I am weally lucky to have you."

I smile. "Thanks, Zuma."

Then it hit me.

Zuma was my friend since day one. Love usually comes and goes, but friendship can stay forever. Every day, Zuma was by my side. Supporting me with my relationships, watching movies with me, playing games with me, sleeping with me, doing absolutely everything with me.

Love is just a feeling.

Love is complicated.

Love is a state of mind.

An emotion that can be torn apart by the slightest remark.

But love can also be great.

Love can cheer you up.

Love makes you feel important.

Love makes you feel happy.

Zuma makes me feel happy.

I love you, Zuma.
