Chase woke up and saw Ryder and the pups in a cage, but he found himself in a chair with his paws tied to the arms of it. "Psst! Ryder, pups! Wake up!" said Chase as he whispered so no one else could hear him. Ryder and the pups were not responding, so Chase said their names a little louder and they started to stir awake. "Chase! What are you doing over there?" said Ryder. "I guess whatever Marshall's boss wants, he wants it from me." said Chase. "Don't worry pups, I'll get us out of this!" said Ryder.

  All of a sudden, a voice was heard and Marshall entered the room. "Marshall, I am extremely furious with you!" said Ryder. "I really don't care Ryder! I have a much better owner now!" said Marshall as his boss walked in the room. It was a man with grey hair, wearing a leather trenchcoat , and had some shades on. "This is my boss!" said Marshall. "Listen here, I don't know what messed up stuff you put in Marshall's head! But he is my pup and-" A gun shot was heard, and there was a hole in the ceiling. Ryder and the pups looked at the man and he was holding a pistol.

  "Speak out of turn again and it will be the last thing you ever say! Understand?!" said the man as Ryder and the pups nodded. "Good. Now, you're still wondering why this pup right here betrayed your team. Am I correct?" said the man as Ryder nodded. "Well it's simple. He realized that a team full of mutts, saving the dumbest people in a small city known as Adventure Bay was a stupid career! So he woke up, he opened his eyes, he knocked some sense into himself!" said the man as Marshall just smiled menacingly. The man turned around and saw Chase in the chair, trying to break free. "Boss, that one right there was my former best friend." said Marshall as the man smirked at this and walked closer to the German Shepherd pup. "Leave him alone!" said Ryder as the man pulled the trigger and the bullet hit the cage, scaring Ryder and the pups.

  "Look at me Chase! You had this coming! You thought you could save your owner and your friends! But look where you are now!" said the man as Chase growled. Marshall socked Chase right in the jaw and the man just smirked once again. "Let's see who dies first!" said the man as Ryder and the pups were terrified.
