Chase's P.O.V

When Ryder left I closed my eyes to continue my dream. Though it was different now. And it seemed much more real. I was outside. I was young again. I was playing with Skye in a field that I didn't recognize. I chased after Skye but she disappeared. I kept running and stopped in front of a white marble staircase. A bright white light shone at the very top. Each step was very big and felt cold on my paws. I jumped back from the first step to the tall grass. I looked at the staircase. It was so big! There were at least 100 steps. I heard my sisters voice! She appeared in front of me at the bottom step.

"Rose!"

"Hello Chase."

"What're you doing here?"

"I came for a visit! Mom and Dad and I miss you very much."

"I miss you too!"

"Why don't you come say hi? Maybe even stay!"

"I'd love to say hi, but I can't stay. I have to stay with Ryder and Skye. And my pups too."

"Ah yes. You have such a beautiful family Chase, we all wish we could see them. Now, why don't you come say hi?"

"Okay! Where's Mom and Dad?"

"Up there silly goose!" Rose points at the top of the staircase to the light.

"What is that place?"

"Trust me Chase, you'll love it!" I jump back onto the first step and continue to walk toward the light with my sister.

Skye's P.O.V

I pace nervously outside the double doors. They won't let me in! Ryder is only allowed. I hear shouts and beeps and carts clanking around as the surgeons eagerly grab tools from them.

"We're losing him!"

"Clear!"

I hear buzzes and all kinds of stuff going on! I need to be there! If they won't let me in, I'll make them let me in. I howl loudly at the doors. I howl some more, and some more, and some more, until one of the surgeons tells Ryder to let me in.

"Let her in now Ryder, before the poor thing howls herself to death! Chase is stable now, but she should see him before you two have to go."

That's all I need to hear. I bust through the door and jump up next to Chase. I land on the ground before I get a look at him. As I jump up again, Ryder holds me up to talk to him.

Chase's P.O.V

I've been walking forever! But just as soon I got up, I'm back on the ground! I hear Skye's voice in the distance.

"Chase, please wake up. I love you too much to lose you. Please just please wake up." 

"Skye? Where are you? Can you hear me?" Rose come back down with me.

"What're you doing? We were almost there, now we have to go all the way back up."

"I don't know, I just appeared back here, and Skye told me to wake up! What is she talking about?"

"This is a dream you know?"

"It doesn't feel like one."

"You know why? Because it's only like a dream. You're in a coma. I'm here to take you to heaven! If you like it you can stay with us. But everyone likes it, but it's your decision weather to stay with your family at home, or your family here."

"You mean I'm dying already?"

"In a way. You get the choice though! Before you choose, think for a minute. You haven't seen us in forever! You could stay with us in the most beautiful place in the universe, where your family will all end up anyways, or you could go back with Skye and Ryder and be in pain until you do die."

This is all hitting me so fast!

"I know it's a big decision, but it's one you have to make."

"I think my choice is obvious, I choose-"
