My name's Ke'Andre Lemmons. And despite my nickname being "Lemonade," I wasn't allowed to turn my lemons of life into that beverage no thanks to all the ones that were full of bitterness.

1.) My female-led family (a high-brow mom married to a wimp of a dad) hated me because I wasn't part of their planned "American Dream.
2.) Said family all bit the dust two weeks before I finished junior year of high school. And since I had no other relatives (or friends for that matter), I had tp plan their funerals with no one bothering to lend a hand (other than the saintly next-door neighbors).
3.) My mother dictated that I wasn't to have any inheritance and doomed me to homelessness with her selling the house.

All that led me to wanting to end my life, something that I should've done back in middle school. But fate screwed up my plans and I'm left with a foster family and people who push me to let go of the pain and move forward. In all honesty, I want no part of it since my life's been full of too many disappointments already. I was waiting to die and be free from this hell. But when a smitten baseball player, his jealous girlfriend, and a lot of hidden secrets cross my path; I guess life's telling me that I'm not going to have it any easier and it's a sign for me to start living.

From living in Lubbock to being in a LGBT foster family, my journey will be full of sour moments before I could truly have a sweet homecoming. Fort Worth and Pacifica Glades High School of the Arts, this is your last chance!

Coming Summer 2024...it's Ke'Andre's turn to finally have his happy ending, but it's not going to be easy for him! Sometimes, you have to have a bitter journey to enjoy the sweetness of a great homecoming! HFL is set to debut June 2024, so don't miss it!
