Third-Person POV

Ryan Peavey and Theo Blake knew that they had fucked up big-time with their plans for assassination.

Of course, they did plan to take out Demario Bader, Artem Hillman, and Jillian Kendricks for rejecting the jock, finally calling them out on a Goth's antics, and for just being the thorn in their sides. And they knew that Jillian meant every word with her threat to ruin them if they even dared to continue their plans to ruin Demario's road to happiness, never mind the fact that Jillian herself was obsessed with getting Ryan back beforehand and her jealousy over Demario catching Ryan's attention.

For Ryan and Theo, their plan to get their retribution after their reputations were tarnished because of their crimes seemed legitimate enough.

Their plan was simple: have the punch bowl laced with the date-rape drug that Theo obtained from friends of the late Demarcus Bader and make sure that Demario was heavily poisoned which would leave him nearly dead. But with that plan dead in the water since the punch bowl was replaced with coolers full of soda, the shootout during the blackout went into effect.

Once the lights were out, they would begin their rampage to take out their three targets with little delay before making a hasty getaway in an unmarked car.

Which would've worked perfectly...if the guns that both boys held weren't registered to one Carl Hezekiah Bader and the video cameras that were placed throughout the school complex weren't enabled with night vision and gave perfect descriptions of the teen assassins.

Theo Blake and Ryan Peavey were indeed fucked men.

As the saying goes, gentle reader, they would soon realize that what goes around would indeed come back around. And when it comes to Joel and Taylor Lomax and the now-grieving Kendricks family, vengeance would soon fall on the duo with double doses.

What you gave life is what life will give you back. Too bad neither Ryan nor Theo got the memo. But whether they liked it or not, they would soon know it.

Short chapter, but it will set up the final storyline for these two teen gunmen as Demario is finally back in the land of the living. And how his uncle Carl the crooked cop plays his role with his guns in Ryan and Theo's possession will soon be revealed.

Anyway, the next chapter sees Demario paying his respects while saying goodbye to the late Jillian Kendricks before he's surprised with another visit from his three aunts. Let's just say that these three are going to be eating a lot of crow...well, one or two will.
