(September 7th) Letty's POV

It's been a week and half since my weekend at the cottage. And things have been good for me. Leah and I are excited about moving in together in the new year. Paul was not thrilled at first, but he has no say in the matter. We're not together and I need my own space. A place without memories of him, of the pack or Rachel. Who he still claims he isn't dating, but Quil told me yesterday they had kissed accidentally and neither pulled away. So it's only a matter of time before they hook up and I can't bare it yet. Seeing him happy and in love with other woman while I have to raise our babies alone.

Speaking of babies, Mason seems to grow everyday. He can say simple sentences now, like 'I luv you'. The first one he said it to was Leah when she got him a new toy truck and hugged her. It's so adorable. If no one is watching him he'll run off to be outside with Rocky. When found, both are covered in mud and need a bath. I can't believe he is 14 months old now. Rocky graduated puppy class and is now in learners. He is so smart, even Mason is getting involved with training him. It's so cute to watch.

I am now 18 weeks pregnant roughly. As we can only guess when I conceived from when I last had my period. My due date is February 20th of next year. I've been think of my future girls name. If Paul and I were together still it would have been Joy Quil Lahote. But now it just reminds me what Paul and I aren't together anymore. So I am thinking Aquila Farah Ateara-Lahote. Farah means 'joy' so that I can still owner my mum and my brother & grandfather with my daughter's name. I'm also of making Mason's last name Ateara-Lahote as well. But I have yet to talk to Paul about it.

Anyway, today I got a letter from the Forks hospital. My appointments with Carlisle had been handed to someone else. And I have no idea why. I tried to call Carlisle last night about it and got no answer. So this morning I decided to go visit him today. The pack are at the beach and mum agreed to watch Rocky. So I packed a diaper bag for Mason and drove us to the Cullen house.

When I arrive I see Jacob's wolf running into the forest. Strange. I get out of the car and grab Mason. I turn and nearly drop Mason when I saw Carlisle standing behind me. "Carlisle you startled me" I tell him as I grab Mason's diaper bag.

"We weren't expecting you" he states.

"I know I should have called but, you weren't answering and I wanted to know why you're no long my OB-Gyn" I state.

"Lets discuss this inside, it's a little nippy out here" he states. He takes Mason's nappy bag. "How are you feeling?" he asks as we enter the house.

"I'm feeling great, I am so glad I don't have morning sickness this time" I tell him. "Though I am craving chocolate like crazy" I state.

"So studies have shown women pregnant with girls develop more of a sweet tooth" he states. As we go to his study. Which is set up like a doctors office. Actually like a delivery room and I frown in confusion. "Sorry about the room, we've had a little family drama" he tells me.

"I thought vampires couldn't get pregnant" I say confused.

"They can't" he states.

"Then why this set up if you're not gonna be my OB-Gyn? What's going on Carlisle? You can tell me anything" I tell him.

"It's not my place to tell you" he tells me. Just then Alice appears at the door. "What is it Alice?" he asks her.

"She wants to see Letty" she states.

"Who?" I ask her confused.

"Bella" she answers.

"Isn't she still on her honeymoon with Edward?" I ask beyond confused.

"It's better you see her" she states. "Please keep an open mind" she tells me.

"Of course" I tell her. We all head to the living room and I was shocked by what a I saw. A heavily pregnant Bella who looks like all her nutrients is going to her belly. Her baby. "Rosalie" I say and hand her Mason. She smiles at him. I go sit beside Bella. "May I?" I ask her gesturing to her belly and she nods her head. I touch it and feel a powerful kick, she groans. "Strong baby" I tell her.

"You have no idea" she tells me with a smile.

"Why did you want to see me?" I ask her curious.

"You've had a baby before and Carlisle mentioned you're pregnant again" she states.

"I am, a little girl this time" I tell her.

"Congratulations" she says with a smile. "I wanted to see you as you're the only person aside from Esme who has had a baby. And I wanted to learn about your experience with Mason" she states.

"It was a hell of a roller-coaster, even worse with my future baby" I tell her. "I take it Edward is the father?" I ask and she nods her head. "So your baby is half vampire, like my baby is half wolf-shifter. Though yours is growing very quickly" I state. "I'd say you'd be around 7 months by your belly" I add. "Which means with the growth rate you could give birth in a few weeks. Though I am no expert" I tell her.

"What's it like? Being a young mum?" she asks.

"It's a lot to take in. But all that pain of labor and the discomfort of carrying. It's all worth is when you hold your baby for the first time" I tell her as I smile at Mason in Rosalie's arms. "I can't imagine life without him or his future sister" I state.

"What would you do in my position?" she asks me curious.

"What do you mean?" I ask her.

"I'm very sick, dying actually as my baby grows. Half the family wants to give me an abortion and the half respects my wish to have the baby. Even though it's hurting my body to do so as it is part-vampire" she states.

"I'd keep it, it's a symbol of yours and Edward's love. It's a miracle, your baby should have the chance to live and be loved" I tell her.

"See, she gets it" she tells Edward who leaves the room.

"I guess he is on the side who want to abort the baby" I say sympathetically.

"How did Paul react when you told him of Mason?" she asks me.

"Shocked, but supportive. He was there every step of the way" I tell her. Trying not to remember how close Paul and I were.

"I'm sorry about what happened between you both. It must have been horrible" she states.

"It was and it still hurts me to this day. But I can't let it get me down, I have Mason and his future sister to think about. I have to be strong for them" I state. Just then my phone rings. "Excuse me" I say sheepishly and answer the phone.

"Letty get home now!" Paul shouts and I pull the phone away from my ear.

"What the hell Paul? Don't shout!" I snap.

"Get Mason and get home now" he tells me.

"You can't boss me around" I retort. "Now I am catching up with a friend, good day" I tell him and hang up. "Sorry about that" I say sheepishly yo everyone. "No idea what's gotten into him" I state as Edward appears.

"I do" he states. "Jacob just arrived with Seth" he tells us. "The pack know about Bella and plan to kill her & the baby tonight" he explains.

"What?!" I demand shocked as Rosalie hands me Mason.

"Over my dead body" Rosalie snarls.

"They won't hurt this family" Edward states. We all agree and he looks at me. "Letty, this isn't your fight. You and Mason can go home" he tells me.

"Not a chance Edward Cullen, I am not letting the pack hurt Bella or her baby" I snap. "I'll let my mum know I won't be back for a few days and have her watch over Rocky. But I am staying to help protect Bella in whatever way I can" I state. "Here" I say passing Mason to Bella and she takes him surprised. "The pack's most absolute law is they can't harm or kill another's imprint. Leah imprinted on my son, if you hold him the pack can't hurt you" I tell her.

"Thank you Letty, but I won't use your son as a shield" she states.

"I know, but if all else fails at least you holding him buys us time" I state. "Besides it'll give you some experience with looking after a baby" I tell her. A stink fills the room. "Step one on the road to mother-hood, how to change a diaper" I say with a smile and she smiles. She watches me closely as I change Mason and then how I put him down for a nap.
