You really feel like this night had been the first night in a long time where you were able to sleep early and relax a bit. It's not that you're complaining, all those sleepless nights are worth it anyways...besides, it's for the sake of your new baby.

You didn't expect that it'll be this hard to be a mom, but you love it. Of course, the baby often wakes up in the middle of the night and you would have to wake up too. You've had a couple of sleepless nights now, but tonight, your baby seems to give you a break.

He was peacefull fell asleep a lot earlier and now he looked like an angel while he's in his cradle.

"Princess, I'm really sorry if I'm bot able to help you with him." Your husband - Patrick, suddenly murmured.

"Silly, you don't have to be sorry, love. I know you're busy too and come on, to be honest in here, I'm getting more sleep than you are. I promise, it's okay." You told him with a sincere smile.

He and his band is getting busy again since they are making a new album and he's rarely home. Honestly, it's okay for you, besides, he still makes an effort to help you in any way whenever he's home. It's enough for you to see him really happy and thankful about his child.

Patrick smiled and hugged you lovingly, pressing a kiss on your forehead. "Let's doze off too like our little angel." he cutely said with a chuckle.

"I would really love that, Trick." You answered and soon you both tucked in, with you around his arms, and immediately falling asleep easily.

You can hear your baby crying already and you pushed to open your eyes. The first thing you saw is the digital alarm clock that read 2:30 in the morning. I moved from Patrick's hug.

"Let me go to him, princess. Just continue sleeping." He said with his low voice. Even with the dim light, I can see him smiling at me sleepily.

"You sure, Patrick? This is the first night you'll have a rest, I can look after h--

"I'm sure, Y/N. Besides, I want to." He said. You smiled at him and nodded. "Just sleep, I love you." He said, kissing my forehead before getting up and going near the cradle. "Ssshh. Dad's here, little angel. Don't cry." He said so gently while picking your child up. Your baby immediately became calm and already enjoying while on his dad's arms.

You laid back down again, and tried to sleep but it seems it's difficult for you to get back to your sleep again. You just laid and closed your eyes, thinking that maybe soon it'll come to you.

Minutes have passed, but you're still awake. But you're thankful that your baby is asleep again because he's not crying anymore. You decided to sit up and look what Patrick is doing now.

Patrick is now sitting on the couch, with your baby still on his chest and sleeping peacefully in there. Patrick seems to enjoy this position and you can really tell he's caring for his kid. You smiled and walked towards him and he doesn't seem to notice you because he's so busy typing something on his phone.

Finally, you stood just behind him and you were able to read what he was typing.

'If I can live through this...I can do anything'

You read and you realized he was making song lyrics. "Is that for a new song?" You asked silently and Patrick finally gazed at you.

"Hey, sorry I was too focused." He answered with a smile. You went next to him, gently sitting beside him. "Yeah, I just got the idea just now." he murmured while looking at your baby lovingly.

"The lyrics are really good." you stated.

"It's about doing the best job in the world...being a dad." He explained. "I think being a dad is the hardest yet best job ever and now I'm realizing it...and seriously, I feel like if I can live through this...being a dad, a husband, and a musician...I can do anything." He continued.

You found yourself staring at your husband, and still even after all these years, he never fails to amaze you.

"Champion." You suddenly murmured, that was the first thing you thought of when he explained it to me.

"Huh?" He asked curiously.

"That's you...and I mean everyone that does the same. The ones that are doing everything for others. Champion. The ones who are trying everything to give their best at something." You told him and he gave you a smile.

"That sounds about right." He said with a genuine smile. "We'll just have to always do our best to be the champion of the people who doesn't believe in champions...we'll make them believe we can live through this. Making them believe what is seemingly impossible to them." He said, seems to be thinking out loud.

"Surely, that song will inspire and save so many people, Patrick." You murmured, really thinking that this song will be one of their best.
