Imagine #54: April Fools! (One-Shot)

You really don't know how Patrick would take your prank today...but at least, it comes with a huge and big surprise.

He knows that today you'll get an update from your doctor because you're finally pregnant. Patrick had never been this excited his own entire life, the doctor said that you were two and a half months pregnant that's why you already have a little bump in your stomach and the doctor also said a very good news...and that's why you thought of pranking Patrick.

"I hope he won't get mad." I said to Pete while I laugh in guilt.

"The guy appreciates this kind of thing, Y/N. He already fucking got me earlier, acting like he's coming out in the closet to do some PeteRick stuff." Pete said and you both hysterically laughed. "Really, your husband is nice and kind, but he ain't innocent. We'll just stay here in the back and shout 'surprise' when we hear the cue." He said with a smile.

"Yeah, he's indeed not innocent." You giggled, blushing with some thought of yours." And thanks, Pete." You said then went to the living room.

After a few moment, Patrick arrived, excited as ever but you showed him that you were sad and he immediately felt it.

"Princess, what happened?" He asked, sitting right next to you.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry." You murmured and hugged him while you cry. You didn't expect that you'll be this good.

"Hey, hey, please don't cry...tell me what happened?" He asked. He was staring at me, brushing off my tears.

"I-It's false alarm...I'm sorry...and...and...I...--

"Just say it, it's okay, princess."

"And he said I can't bear a child." I said and the tears flow more.

Now that I think of it, I think this is too much. Patrick looked at me worriedly but still I can feel the ray of hope in him. This guy, he'd really perfect.

"But you're okay, right? I mean no complications and all?" He asked with hope and I nodded at him. "Good, then why are you crying? This is a challenge for the both of us, Y/N and I swear to you we'll both face it. It didn't change anything. I swear...and in fact, I've loved you more because of this." He said while smiling and you know there wasn't even a pinch of lie in that smile.

"Patrick." You called and this time, it was all true. You teared up happy tears, you didn't expect this response from him. "I'm sorry and I love you."

"You don't have to be sorry, my love. I mean, our life will go on with or without a child. Heck, we can adopt a lot of kids who already lost their parents and we'll be great parents either way. Yes, it's sad but it'll go away eventually. And really, always remember...I love you more, princess." He answered, now you saw the sadness in his eyes and you just nodded and smiled at him.

Goddammit, it looks like this got you more than you got him.

"You're right, I don't have to be sorry." You said while smiling and after that you brushed off all your tears. "Guys..."

"HAPPY APRIL FOOL'S DAY, PATRICK!!" your friends finally said and they all laughed. Pete, Andy and Joe are with their wives too.

You looked at Patrick which is still shocked with what's going on, you really thought he'll het mad at you.

"Well, you guys got me good." He said then laughed. "Come here." He pulled you in for a hug. "But really, whether its a joke or not, what I told you is true and will always be true." He said sincerely and you just wanted to melt there.

"I know, Patrick...I know." You said with a smile.

"It was really getting cheesy in here, I almost puked back there." Joe teased and you all laugh.

"I can't believe you made me go through that, Trick." Andy continued to tease him.

"This is why I didn't believe you with the PeteRick thing earlier, I fucking know you love Y/N more than anything in this world." Pete said and that made me smile proudly.

"I can't believe that you guys are on it too." Patrick said. "So, it was all a joke...we're really expecting?" He asked and you just eagerly nodded. "Hell, yeah!!" He exclaimed which you find cute. "But can I ask one more question, is it just me or it's really weird to see you guys in a matching outfit? I mean yeah it's a couple shirt...but its too much, similar." He asked and you laughed.

Your friends are all wearing the same clothes as their wives and you couldn't believe that Patrick didn't get it.

"As Y/N." All the girls said and Patrick looked at you while you grin stupidly at him.

"We're not only expecting one...we're expecting twins, Stump." You said and his eyes just got bigger.

"This isn't a joke anymore, right?" He asked and he seemed whispering while looking so shocked and you just shook your head at him.

"All true." You said.

"Holy smokes...twins." He said while he looks at your tummy.

It was Patrick's dream, he really wants twins and now finally, you'll be giving him that.

"I'm telling you we'll raise them perfectly, Y/N, it'll be magical and unforgettable for us." He said while smiling widely.

"Yes, indeed, Trick. We'll both raise them like a phoenix." You said and you shared a hug.

Turns out, this April Fool's day will be one of the most unforgettable moments in your life...in a very good way.

Happy April Fool's everyone and I hope everyone is having fun. I've fell for two pranks today and I just sang after that 'I WILL NEVER BELIEVE IN ANYTHING AGAIIIIIN!' well atleast just for the day :D hahaha.
