Imagine #133: Short
    
As always, your earphones fill your ears with very loud music while you get your daily needs in a grocery store. It was quite late already and there weren't many people around so you're even singing with the music, not bothering if someone hears you.

You just continued your shopping until you were up to your last item. It was one of the ingredients you need for baking a cake. Finally, you saw what you need but unfortunately the item was on the top of a high shelf.

"Great." You murmured under your breath and helplessly stare at the item while trying to think of a way to reach it. You're unfortunately short for that height and you are hating that fact now.

"You know, I would really love to help you get that, but unfortunately I can't too." You suddenly heard a voice next to you which was followed by a cute chuckle. It was too familiar for you and that made you immediately look.

It was Patrick Stump, the vocalist of the band you are currently listening to and you're currently addicted too. You stood there, dumbfounded to see him in person.

"And nice songs, overcast." He continued as you look at him. He gave you a genuine smile that melt you on that spot.

"P-Patrick, I can't b-believe it." You murmured so quietly that even you can't hear your voice

"Yeah, nice to mee you." He said, the way he said it was just too cute.

"It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm a HUGE fan." You excitedly say with a laugh and he chuckled at you.

"Aaaww, thank you." He answered and looked at the item again. "So, how are we going to get that?" He asked.

"N-no, its fine. I'll just ask some crew in here to get--

"Come on, I'll give you a boost. We'll, we short people gotta stick with each other, right?" He said with a laugh. He really sound so enthusiastic about this, who would even say no to that?

"A-are you sure?" You asked with a shy laugh and he nodded.

"Yeah, no worries. Come on." He said while holding his hands just right and waiting to boost you up.

You walked up to him and carefully step on his hand then he slowly boost you. You immediately get what you need, but before you can jump down, both you and Patrick were shocked because of the sudden blackout inside the grocery store. You and Patrick lost your balance and soon enough you're both going down.

You let out a short distressed scream before hitting the floor, but to your surprise your head didn't hit it too hard, in fact you felt that someone protected your head.

Unfortunately, the shelves shook a bit and some sugar came falling on the two of you.

"Well, sugar, we're going down." Patrick said with a chuckle and finally the lights came back on again.

You realized that he held your head so you wouldn't hit the floor. He looked at you with a smile, but you knew he's worried too.

"You're okay, right?" He asked and you nodded as you felt your face blush.

"How about you?" You asked him.

"Of course. Sorry for the stupid idea, I should have know that's dangerous." He said, helping you to get up. You both brushed the sugar off of your clothes in there.

"Nah, you were just being kind and that's great and you protected me from hurting myself. Thank you." You told him sincerely which just made him smile.

"I'm done with my things, uh, let's just report this to the cashier?" He said and you agreed.

Both of you went there and proceeded to pay for the things you brought.

"Hey, um, this may sound crazy I'll want to send you some cake tomorrow, if possible. Just a thank you for helping me and for being a fan. Besides, you helped me complete the ingredients for the cake." You shyly said and you noticed Patrick's eye lit up the moment you told him that.

"No, that's no crazy at all. I'll be glad to accept that and well actually I was about to ask you out too. Uh, here." He said while giving you his phone. "Can I get your number so I can call or text you where we'll meet? I'm sure the others would want to see your cake too." He excitedly told you and you can just feel your face burning there.

You shakingly took his phone and tyoed your number while your head was screaming 'Patrick Stump is asking for my number and is asking me out too!!!!!' You cannot believe how you were containing yourself in there too.

"I swear to God, if this is a dream I don't want to wake up anymore." You said which both made you laugh.

Patrick just walked you to your car while having a first small talk, just introducing yourself to him.

"So, I'll guess I'll see you tomorrow?" Patrick said excitedly and you nodded at him.

"Thank you, Patrick and I still can't believe I met you here and our first meet up is something quite extra-ordinary." You said then giggled.

"Yeah, it's a story worth telling. Keep safe, Y/N. I'll see you tomorrow. Goodnight." He said.

"Goodnight, Patrick." You said and closed your car doors. Patrick just walked to his car too but you couldn't keep it to yourself anymore. You just exploded in there and screamed.

"Oh my god! I just met Patrick Stump!!!" You fangirled inside the car and let your fangirl soul possess you. Patrick even heard you and saw you in there which he really found cute about you.

He really can't wait to meet you again.

*The Following Morning*

When you woke up, you were still on Cloud 9. It was true, you really did meet Patrick last night and that he's looking forward to the cake you're about to bake. That really inspired you more and went to do your job.

You started to prepare to bake and soon enough you were done. You made the logo of Fall Out Boy as the design of your cake. Right on cue, you received a message from Patrick saying that he's inviting you to their recording studio so you can meet the others too.

Of course, you fangirled so much again before preparing to meet them there and an hour later you found yourself in front of their studio.

"Y/N! Hey, I'm really glad that you agreed to meet here." Patrick said.

"Are you kidding? Who would say no to this?" You said. Patrick just guided you inside, gave you a tour and finally going inside their room in there where you find Pete, Joe and Andy.

"Oh god. My heart...I can't." You said as you shake in there, they all just chuckled at you.

"Don't be scared, we're cool." Joe said with a smile as he helped you set the cake down.

"That smells delicious." Andy said which is also smiling at you.

"So is it true? That Patrick referenced one of our song when he met you?" Pete asked suspiciously which made you laugh.

"He did." You answered with a huge smile and the three boys looked at Patrick.

"Shame." They teased him that made them all laugh.

"What? That was the best time to reference that song." Patrick said while blushing.

"I found it funny too." You said.

"You're lucky this girl is sweet." Pete said and continued to tease Patrick.

Soon enough, you unboxed the cake and they all looked amazed with what you did there.

"It looks so perfect. I don't want to eat it, but I'll still end up doing so." Patrick said.

They all took pictures of the cake and posted it on their social media. After that they tasted it.

"Well?" You nervously asked.

"Thish ish sho good." They all said at the same time which really made you happy.

"Glad you like it!" You excitedly said.

You all began to bond in there while eating your cake, thankful for the opportunity that Patrick gave you. You were just hoping that this will be the start of a beautiful friendship among all of you.
