Imagine #90: ForeverMore (Finale)

Patrick is ready. He let go of everything; the past, his pride, and almost everything just to get back to you. Now the only thing left is for him to talk to you again and that hope that you'll still forgive him. He know that the love between the two of you never died, he just needs to LIGHT 'EM UP more!

Patrick's phone suddenly rang and it was Brendon's phone number.

"Patrick? Is {Y/N} with you?" Brendon asked.

"N-no. Why would she be here? What happened?" Patrick asked.

"She's been missing since morning. We can't contact her and he rain is getting stronger by the minute, she didn't bring anything with her. Her brother and cousins are already searching for her, but still no luck." Brendon said.

"T-Thank you for telling me. I'll help to find her too." Patrick said.

Worry overflowed in his heart, he immediately got his keys and started to drive around, trying to think of a place where you could be. The rain is heavy, but Patrick didn't mind. His instinct just told him to go to that hill, maybe he had this thinking that you're still waiting there for him.

"{Y/N}! {Y/N}! {Y/N}!" he kept on calling for you. His soaking wet from the rain now but he kept going while holding a small flashlight.

He was right, you were there and you lost your way on the way back. You've lost your flashlight too and now you don't know where you are. You suddenly heard him screaming your name.

"I-I'm here!" you shouted as loud as you can. You've been in that rain for hours and you're now feeling very cold.

Patrick, fortunately, saw you and he run for you immediately.

"{Y/N}! What are you doing here!" he asked.

"I'm so cold." Is the only thing you murmured.

"I saw an empty small cabin there! Let's go!"

Patrick guided you there. Your body is shaking violently as you both enter the empty cabin. You sat down immediately not knowing how to dry off. You saw Patrick took of his wet shirt and he immediately went to you.

"{Y/N}! you have to remove your shirt, you can't let that dry off when you're still wearing it and you'll get cold." Patrick said and you just let him do it. He removed your shirt, luckily you're wearing a tank top.

He sat beside you and he suddenly hugged you to give you warmth. You didn't push him away, you just let him do that. After a couple of minutes, your body dried off and you've been sitting there as awkward silent emerge between you.

"Why didn't you let Brendon love you?" Patrick suddenly asked.

"Because I love another person." You plainly answered. Both of you are not even looking at each other.

"But why...why did you chose him over me?"

"Because at that time I knew it was the right thing. And if we ever go back to that time again, that will always be my answer. At that time, whenever I see you, all I can remember is the time you left me and the time I caught you with Allie and all the pain you both gave to me." You said as you shiver a bit. "My love for you was defeated by fear...fear that I will be feeling unbearable pain again, because when you left me back then, that almost killed me." You're just saying those things will the rain poured heavily outside. You're not even looking at Patrick but you know he's looking at you with every guilt he has shown on his face. "But someone told me that sometimes, time is the only thing needed to brush off the fear to love again. And at that right time, fear will lose and love will be winning...but for me that was never gone, Patrick. I never stopped loving you." You continued and you heard him sigh in relief.

Patrick was crying there, feeling that he'd been such a huge douche to you and that maybe you'll never take him back again. But here, you, saying this things made him want you back, made him regret every decision he made.

"Y-you know? You don't know how countless of times I wished to hear that all from you again."

"I'm sorry I didn't say this all to you immediately. I'm sorry for letting my anger fill me up, I'm sorry for making you believe that I forgot you."

"I'm sorry I didn't wait for you. I'm sorry for leaving you, I'm sorry for being a jerk to you." He said. You are both crying, Patrick was the only one looking at you and you're just staring at the pouring rain while your tears continuously roll down from your eyes. "How the fuck did we get here?  All we did was to love, right?" you both sadly.

"Maybe it's just that forever doesn't really apply to us." You said as tears continuously fall down. Patrick pulled you closer and hugged you.

You've been longing for this for a long time, the warmth of his hug defeated every cold breeze around you. You just hugged him back as you both cry on each other's shoulder.

After a while, you're just both silently laying on a wooden bed inside that small cabin while staring outside.

"I can now see some stars." You murmured as you sadly smile. Suddenly a falling star was seen, you and he immediately closed your eyes and wished something silently. "Did you see that? What did you wish?" you asked him.

"My wish...is that this night will never end." He said as he looked at you straight in the eyes. Patrick faces you and smiled more. "{Y/N}, can we pretend, even just for this night, that there's still and us and we have forever?

I'm outside the door, invite me in

So we can go back and PLAY PRETEND

I'm on deck, yeah, I'm up next

Tonight I'm high as a private jet" he sincerely asked and sang the last part.

"H-how?" you faced him too.

"Example, if there's an us now, what do you think we are doing right here, right now? Cause I myself know the answer to that, I'll be kissing you right now." He said and you just smiled at him.

"Me? If there's an us now, I will say to you straight from the heart that...you really stink badly now." You joked and you both laughed. Both of you sat on that bed.

"Hey! We just got out of the pouring rain, I can't stink that bad!" he said innocently.

"And if there's an us now, I will never be shy to shout all over the world that I LOVE YOU! I'll even climb to the rooftop of your hotel and shout to the whole world; 'I LOVE YOU PATRICK MARTIN STUMPH!'" you said even flying your hands up in the air.

"And I will be there next to you, saying...if you don't want to sleep, let other people sleep!" he joked and you both laughed again. You playfully hit him on the shoulder.

Silence emerge for a while, you and Patrick's forehead suddenly leaned again each other as you can feel each other's breaths.

"And if there is an us, I will hold your hand...kiss it..." Patrick said and he did hold your hand and kissed it. You both have tears on your eyes again, but this time it's happy tears "and as you...will you marry me?" he asked. Both of your tears fell as you sadly smiled at each other.

"And if there is an us I will answer you with a big YES." You said as you try not to cry so hard.

"And if there is an us I will hug you like this...and I will never EVER let you go!" Patrick said as he hugged you and you leaned on his chest. You both cried silently there and let the cold night pass, but at least now you have each other's warmth to make you both comfortable.

"Patrick! Patrick! It's morning!  Let's go." You excitedly say to him. He woke up and smiled sadly at you.

"So you're really leaving? To start a tour with Brendon?" he asked as you both put your shirts on. You smiled at him.

"Yeah, you know that this is my dream right?" you said and he nodded.

You're both sadly smiling at each other, your play pretend game is now over. Patrick reached for you one more time and hugged you tightly like he'd never let you go.

"C-come on! I'll drop you off your house. Your brother will kill me if he founds out were together." Patrick said and you both left the place.

Patrick dropped you in front of your house. You looked at each other for a long time like you've been waiting for each other to say something, but no words came out. You just get off from his car and he drove away.

Pete and the others saw you and were happy that you're okay. You said that someone found you and took you in for the night, you didn't even told them that you and Patrick have been together.

"I just wanted to see the hill again before I go around the world. I'll be missing that place, the rain just got in the way and I lost my flashlight that's why I haven't had the chance to get back here." You explained.

"Glad you're okay {Y/N} I thought I lost my tour buddy," Brendon said. You and he are cool now, he really accepted that you and him will never be a thing, but he remained to be your best friend.

"Don't ever do that again, little sis. You have me so worried!" your brother, Pete said and he hugged you.

After that, you and Brendon just talked at it seems that tomorrow you will be leaving tomorrow. You just gladly accepted the fate that maybe, you and Patrick really doesn't have a forever.

"{Y/N}! Where are you going?! Brendon will be here later to get you, you're leaving now!" Pete asked.

"Just...just wait. I need to go to one more place before I leave! I'll just be fast!" you said as you get on his motorcycle and drove off to Patrick's mom's hotel. It's raining again but not too hard.  You were excited, maybe this is all you need. You need to shout all your emotions before you go.

You just went straight in and walked out of the rooftop of the place. You never imagined that the scene is so beautiful here. You can also see the hill where you got lost and just smiled to yourself when you remembered what happened there the other night.

You made your way to the safe edge of the building and stood there.

"So, this will be where I'll be saying goodbye to you! This building is the reason why we met!" you shouted even when there's no one there. Your tears are forming again in your eyes. "It's sad that you're not here, but still, I WILL SHOUT TO THE WORLD THAT I LOVE...YOU...VERY...VERY...MUCH PATRICK STUMP!" you said as you flew your hands in the air. "I'm really unlucky! It's not just that you're not here with me, it's also raining and no one can hear me and I can't see no one!" you said and you let out a whimper.

"Maybe it's just that I'm the only one you should see?" you heard a familiar voice said. You looked back and there he is. Patrick's looking at you. He just walked to you and pulled you down from the edge. You're face to face and he's smiling at you.

"{Y/N}, can we please start over again? Let's start our forever now." He said with full of confidence.

"I'll be leaving for the tour later Patrick." You said to him.

"I know, and I won't stop you from leaving. That's your dream and I understand that. But this time, I will not commit the same mistakes again, this time, I will wait for you even if it takes forever! {Y/N} this rain may stop, the world might end, BUT I WILL NEVER EVER STOP LOVING YOU!" he said and your just smiling up to him with a huge smile.

"I love you too Patrick. But don't overact there! You're a bigger musician than we are, you can go tour with us and it's not even hard to do!" you joked and you both laughed.

Patrick suddenly held your hand and he saw that you're still wearing the promise ring he gave you. He suddenly removed it and looked at it with a smirk.

"You really hold onto this, huh?" he asked. Then he suddenly looked afar and threw the ring away for god knows where!

"Hey! Why did you do that?!" you asked in disbelief.

"I'm so done with promises Cupcake. I don't believe in anything like that now! I don't believe in happy endings and all!"

"Wait, Patrick. I can't understand you, you just said you love me –

"Just let me finish {Y/N}. I don't believe in that now, because all I believe in now is just US." He said and then he suddenly run towards the door towards the staircase just to get something. He came back running to you, holding a cupcake with a ring above it's icing. You smiled at him with tears rolling down from your eyes. "Since we have forever now, I'll ask you here!" he said and he knelt down in front of you. "{Your full name}, the most beautiful girl in the world, the queen of cupcakes, and the love of my life...Marry me?" he asked and you giggled at him. You can't speak for a while and he began to laugh. "H-hey, you're supposed to me ans—

"Shut up Patrick." You said playfully. "I know what to say...YES!!" you shouted. Patrick took the ring from the icing and slip it on your finger.

You're both facing each other now and you have happy tears in your eyes.

"{Y/N}, I love you forever!" he said sincerely.

"I love you forevermore!!" you answered back.

Both of your lips felt like magnet and they both met. You kissed each other lovingly. You giggled after that.

"I made this cupcake." He suddenly said. You took a bit icing from it then wiped it on his nose. "Oh, you'll pay for that!" he said playfully and wiped the whole cupcake on your face.

Both of you began to play under the pouring rain, it's not a good weather to start your forever, but it's the best you can get!
