Imagine #186: How the Mighty Fall In Love (Part 3)

You've been helping Patrick to get his love back for a month now, but you think all efforts are in vain. Elisa really hates Patrick now and the guy is devastated and now you're feeling all the guilt...somehow you're a part of this. Patrick is a kind and sweet kind, you know that now that you've been with him for a while. You can't understand what Elisa was saying, Patrick is a keeper and you can feel it. He's funny, sweet, and full of effort.

Patrick is doing his last effort tonight, saying that after this...he might just give up, besides he has forgiven you too.

"I'm really sorry Patrick. I don't...I can't understand why Elisa was like that. You don't fit the description of the kind of guy she described back then." you said to him.

You're both trying to make a dinner for two in the middle of the park. It was very romantic and you helped with the decorations and all, you're just hoping that Elisa will come to the place so Patrick won't be disappointed.

"I told you I forgive you already." he said kindly while smiling, he put a rose in the small vase on the middle of the table. "She was the jealous type, I can't stop myself for being kind with girls, most especially to fans. She was always the one who looks at it negatively, but I can't blame her. I just wish she understand." he said.

"I hope too." you said, staring at him.

You hated the fact that you're feeling something for him...something more than a friend between a friend. You said to yourself that you'll never be like this again...you had enough with this love thing and you'll never do it again. You don't want to be in love with someone who had this kind of issue, you never knew maybe someday things will change about Patrick. You want to be cautious now, more like not to fall in love at all...but heck, feelings are hard to pull back.

"You okay, {Y/N}?" Patrick asked, looking at your eyes. You suddenly feel you face burn and immediately looked and walked away, trying to look like your busy.

"Y-yeah! I'm fine. I was just caught in my thoughts." you said with a nervous laugh.

"Hey, look at this place. It looks so romantic, looks like you're really not a full-time bitter goddess." he teased you and you laughed at him with sarcasm. 

"I'm only exerting extra effort so I can get my job back!" you retorted. Patrick stared at you, giving an innocent smile.

"Why? Why do you somehow hate love? What happened?" he asked andyou were shock that he would ask something like that.

"Have you ever felt being left out by the one person you thought that will be always by your side?" you suddenly asked him. "Like that person turned out to be a bubble and popped out of nowhere and then...gone. No information, no goodbye...nothing!" you continued, you can't believe you're answering his question.

"T-that's awful." he said.

"I know right, and the next thing you hear is that...that person m-married someone else already. It hurts, I don't want to feel that pain anymore that's why I'm like this." you said while holding back your tears. You laughed it off when you looked at Patrick. "I'm sorry." you said.

Patrick suddenly walked in front of you.

"That's the worst thing that anyone can do, that explains it all. But please, don't close your heart out. There's someone out there who's going to take care of you, treat you like a princess and never leave you out. And if you close your heart you can never find him." he said, he handed you a single rose then you grabbed it playfully while laughing.

"What if I already did? But it's just that that person is already in love with someone else? " you said and then immediately brushed it all of. "Enough of this, we're getting dramatic." you said and get back to work.

Patrick was left there...stunned. He never thought of your story. Patrick thinks you're too kind and sweet too, he was the only one who can see that. You're always trying to hide it, but all these time, he can see it and he would like that side of yours to be back. Patrick was developing feelings for you along the way too and maybe...just maybe...he's still doing these efforts just to be with you. He knows Elisa will never understand him, but you do.

"{Y/N}, I-I...

"Patrick?" both of you suddenly heard a familiar voice. You looked back and it was Elisa and she immediately smiled at Patrick. "I-Is this for me?" she asked.

Patrick suddenly don't know what to do and you were stunned there too. You pushed yourself to smile and get the two together.

"O-of course, he did this for you! I-I'm really sorry for ruining your relationship, that's why I'm helping...but I guess my work here is done. Enjoy the night Elisa and Patrick." you said and walked away.

You saw that Patrick was about to say something, but you didn't give him any attention. You walked away from the scene, not noticing you're still holding on the rose that he gave you. You're not supposed to feel these feels right now.
