Imagine #179: Kindergarten Buddies

"Look at what I have found!" Joe said excitedly.

He called you, Patrick, Pete and Andy over to his house to show you a CD on his hands. You are all curiously looking at him and the CD that he's holding.

"Owwwwwkaaaaay. What's that supposed to be?" Pete asked with full of curiousity.

"Guess we have to find out ourselves." Andy said calmly and walked over to the couch and sat there.

"This is exciting, I wonder what's on that CD." You said and you all sat comfortable in his couch.

Joe put the CD on the player and played it...and the moment the video started, you all felt a very nostalgic feeling.

Flash Back* {these memories are the video y/n and the boys are watching :)}

It was the first day of Kindergarten, but you're very excited to go to school. You're the type of kid who's very energetic and joyful and you can't wait to make friends with your classmates. There are fifteen of you in the class; eight are girls and seven are boys. The teacher call each one of you in front to introduce yourself, most of them are shy but you're not.

"HI! My name is {your full name} but you can call me {your nickname}.I love music and I want to write my own songs when I grow up! It is nice to meet you all, I can't wait for us to be friends and play and do things together!" you said when the teacher called you. You went back to your seat after your turn and you kept on listening to the others.

"Hey! My name is Joseph Trohman, but you can call me JoeMan or Joe. I love to play outside and so a lot of tiring and somehow extreme games, so if you want that too we can be friends! I think guitars are cool and I want one when I grow up! That's all!" a boy with a curly hair said. You smiled at him because he seems so cool and you feel like you and he will become friends soon.

"I'm Andrew Hurley, just call me Andy. I think tattoos are cool and also drums, I want to know how to play it when I become older. I may be silent, but don't be scared to go to me...I'm friendly." Another boy said. He really does look like the silent type, but for you, he seems cool too.

"Peter Lewis Kingston Wentz III, yep that's my name, but just call me Pete. Pizza is my most favourite thing and also guitars too! I also like to skate and play all the time, we can all be friends!" another boy introduced himself and he looked so excited too, you feel like you and he will become friends because you love pizza too.

"Uhm...I-I'm P-Patrick Martin Stumph, but call me Patrick, not Pat because that is my mom's name. I...uhm...love music and drums too, I want to be a musician someday. We can all be friends here, I can't wait to know you all." Finally, the last boy introduced himself. He has a blonde hair and the shortest among the boys, he smiled at the end which looked cute.

You're amazed to find others who want music too and you realized that all of you are sitting on one row, and that's how you know the five of you are going to be good friends.

Months later just days before Kindergarten Graduation*

"Weeeeeeeentz! Give me back my pizza!! Mrs. Stumph gave me that piece!" you shouted while going after Pete who's running around the backyard of Patrick's house.

"It's mine! I snatched it!" he teased you more, but you didn't stop. The others are just looking at both of you while laughing, Pete was the always the bully among you, but it was just for a joke. The five of you are best friends now and you've been playing and doing homework together since the first day of school.

"{Y/N}! Just give it to him, I'll share mine with you." Patrick shouted while laughing. You gave up on running and made face to Pete who's eating your pizza now.

"I'll get you back for that, Wentz!" you said to him, but you're not really angry.

You walked towards the small table that Patrick's mom readied for the five of you, after a while you are all sitting there and laughing at each other again. The five of you are just talking about innocent things like cartoons, your dreams and all that kind of stuff. Graduation is coming now and you know that some of you might change school, but you all didn't mind that. You promised each other that you will still be friends even that happens.

"I'm glad you are all my best friends!" Joe said.

"Yeah! And I know we will forever be like this!" Andy agreed with him.

"Even if you guys are such dorks, I'm proud to say you are my best buddies!" Pete said that made you all laugh.

"You are the dorkiest, Pete." Patrick said and you all nodded in agreement. "I will never replace this friendship to anything, not even to a box of pizza!" Patrick said.

"Me too! We're going to create a band! Right? We'll be forever buddies!" you said with much joy and they all smiled at you. "Time to bury the time capsule, guys!" you added with much excitement.

And with that the video ended.

End of flashback*

You were all left there staring at the screen of the TV, smiling to yourselves like an idiot.

"It's almost been 20 years." Andy said with much amazement in his voice.

"And we're still like this." You and the others said in chorus.

You all laughed at the same time, mesmerized that your friendship never died even when you got separated for a period of time.

"I love you, my dorks." Pete said and the laughter continued.

"Wait! Guys! The time capsule, I remember where we hid that! Come on, get your assess up from that couch!" you said excitedly as you pulled them from the couch.

You lead them to the nearby park and you remembered it all clearly now. You buried that time capsule under the 27th tree starting from the huge slide. You were happy that the park remained untouched, and you really wish that the time capsule was still there.

The five of you began digging and not long enough, you found it.

"YES!" you all bellowed. Patrick pulled it and you all sat under that tree forming a circle.

Pete opened the box and the nostalgia had never hit you like this before. Inside the box are Joe's first guitar pick, Andy's first drumstick, Pete's key chain that has a design of a red and black electric guitar, Patrick's small notebook with a lot of original song lyrics inside of it and your favourite earphones. You took each thing inside the box and looked at it with admiration.

"We really are dorks...aren't we?" you asked and you all laughed.

"At least all of us are dorks, no-one is going on ahead and no one is getting left behind." Joe answered.

"And we have each other's back! We're kindergarten buddies and that never changed."

"Yes...yes, it has never changed." Pete said sincerely and you are all left smiling at each other.

Squad goals...achieved.
