Sulochana was going towards the room where her father-in-law had imprisoned the planets. It has been eight years since the news of Ram's exile had reached Lanka. Now and then the news came that Ram was killing the demons who were disturbing the saints from performing Yagnas. Sulochana could see each time the news came her husband was worried. He used his divine powers to understand whether Ram would come to Lanka. Surprisingly the answer was not forthcoming.

Sulochana had suggested they will let go of the planets. Once they are free, they might tell them what was Srihari's plan and whether there was any remedy to ward that off. Meghnadh was against it. He mentioned his father had imprisoned the planets so that they do no harm for Lanka and it was his duty to see they didn't escape. Sulochana debated a lot with her husband that in imprisoned state they will do more harm than good and letting them go would be really beneficial. However, Meghnadh didn't wanted further discussion on the topic.

One good thing was that Meghnadh didn't stop Sulochana from worshipping the planets. She had started the practice with the support of her mother-in-law Mandodari since the time she came as a new bride in Lanka. She did their worship once a month. The planets never blessed her, but she could feel that they were happy with her.

This time as he entered the room, she felt the planets were chatting with each other and seeing her they suddenly stopped. She looked up and she could see Lord Saturn was intently looking at her and Lord Mercury was indicating something to Lord Saturn and it seemed Lord Jupiter was supporting Lord Mercury. Lord Saturn was not responding to them and continued looking at her stoically.

Sulochana kept her pooja plate and started doing the pooja. Once she finished it, she took aarti of all planets and then put tilak on them. Then she bowed to them and as she gathered the pooja things and started to walk back she heard a loud noise. Startled she turned and saw Lord Saturn addressing her.

"Sulochana, you have been doing our worship devotionally for past several years. In the universe I am suppose to give result of everybody's karma. This good karma of yours has to be rewarded appropriately. So, listen oh divine and chaste lady, the wheels of dharma have started turning and falling of Lanka is eminent. If you want to prevent the downfall of Lanka ensure your aunt Shurpanaka is kept in Lanka. Let someone put some wisdom in your father in law's head that if he wants to listen to a woman, he should listen to his chaste wife Mandodari. The day he listens to his wife the golden period of Lanka will start. If he continues to listen to his sister's whims and fancies wails would be heard from Lanka very soon."

Sulochana stood stunned at the prophecy of Lord Saturn. Six years ago, she had felt that aunt Shurpanaka was going to be the medium through which Narayan would reach Lanka. Today Lord Saturn had proved her instinct true. She once again bowed to Lord, thanked him and came out of the room.

Mandodari had just come to her room from the royal garden as she received information that her daughter in law was waiting for her in her chamber. She could see Sulochana perspiring and looking very much concerned.

"Sulo what happened daughter. Are you sick or has someone misbehaved with the daughter in law of Ravan? "

"Mother who will dare to misbehave with the wife of Meghnadh and I am not sick." Then Sulochana went onto explain what Lord Saturn had told her.

"Mother I have no clue how to keep aunt in Lanka alone. She roams on her will. Creates one problem after another. You very well know how much time we all spend sorting out the mess she creates so that it doesn't reach father."

Mandodari sat silent for a while. Even she was not sure how to make her sister-in-law listen to some sane advice. She was like her elder brother. Highly egoistic. Then Mandodari realized Shurpanaka listens to Kumbakarna. She was very affectionate towards him as he slept six months a year. In the six months he was awake she mostly agreed to all his demands and pampered him. Kumbakarna was a foodie but knowledgeable and sane. Mandodari asked Sulochana to accompany her to Kumbakarna's chamber.

Kumbakarna was having food when they entered his chamber. Seeing his bhabi he tried to get up but Mandodari smiled and asked him to sit. She knew how difficult it was for her brother-in-law to get up with his big body. He was so big that normal people looked like dwarfs in front of him.

Kumbakarna folded his hands towards Mandodari while Sulochana bowed to him. He asked them to take a seat and tell him why they had come.

Mandodari explained what Lord Saturn told to Sulochana and then asked Kumbakarna to help them.

"Bhabhi I can keep Surpi in Lanka for the six months I am awake. She accepts all my requests. The problem is I am asleep for six months and we don't know what all she can do in those six months. You very well know she doesn't listen to Vibhishan. She doesn't have respect for you also. Have you thought how you will you manage the six months I am asleep?"

"Kumbhakarn I am not sure whether it will work out or not nevertheless I would like to try it. Get a promise from her that she won't go outside Lanka. Tell even while asleep you miss her and every night you would love to hear her voice. Then I thought Surpanakha has interest in dressing up. So Sulo can spend some time with her dressing her up. She loves to be pampered.

The next plan is conduct different exhibitions in Lanka while you are asleep. Your sister loves to roam the exhibitions and take things she likes. I will ensure the traders are paid the damage but it will keep her in Lanka," replied Mandodari.

Sulochana and Kumbhakarn agreed to her on the plan. They all agreed it was their duty to protect Lanka from the calamity that Lord Saturn had hinted.

"Mahadev why Lord Saturn had to give hint to Sulochana. Wont this make task of my brother harder," came in Parvati with a frown on her face.

Lord Shiva smiled at his irate wife, "Gowri Sulochana had to be rewarded for her good karma and she doesn't have control on Surpanaka's karma. So, you don't worry. Surpanaka's karma will pave the path for Lord Narayan to reach Lanka."

"Hope it goes as you say Mahadev. I am eagerly waiting to see how Rudramsa Hanuman is going to fit in the scheme of things. Let me check on him. It has been some time I saw him," saying so Parvati went to watch the happenings over Kishkinda and Lord Shiva closed his eyes in meditation.
