GRACE CALAWAY'S entire existence revolved around Silver Falls.

Her days were anchored by morning shifts at the local animal care center and evenings spent with her brother and father, a routine she had grown to cherish.

But the entrance of COLE WALTER, the son of her co-worker, at an end-of-summer party stirred a wave of change in her otherwise familiar surroundings.

One she didn't mind.

Following his accident, an intense longing consumed him, leaving trails of itchiness and crimson rashes on his skin, while burying itself in his mind and blurring his vision.
