Loyalty

The sound of the front door opening awoke me from my sleep. I'll never be able to get a good amount of rest without having to relive any of my painful memories.

I got up off the comfy queen bed and went out into the living room. The two brothers stood before me with their heads down as I approached them.

Rubbing the sleep from my eyes, I felt the sense of the two before me wanting to say something.

"What?" I said in my monotone voice.

They looked at each other before Carbon nudged Copy. Copy looked up at me before quickly turning away from my gaze.

"M-Medu, word is going around that your ability is...u-uns-stable. You should report back with us to the Professor or-"

"Are you giving me orders?" I sternly asked, cutting him off.

He quickly shook his head no, "Absolutely not, I was just-"

"What's going on back in the Division." I said getting straight to the point.

I have no time to indulge in gossip, these fools are idiots to think that I'd go back with them.

Whatever power of mine they claim that is unstable is obviously a lie. My power is very stable and I can control it however way I please.

Carbon spoke up, "We don't know much, ever since you've escaped the Professor has everyone very close to him. We're locked in our rooms all day, unless we're due for tests."

Seems like the Professor is anxious, he's locked up all his toys and will eventually go out to find the missing one.

Only question is, when will he come for me?

He sent these two goons after me, probably expecting me to kill them. The guy is stuck on my past obsession with murder, murdering people is boring now. I now only want to kill people, if they interfere with whatever I want to do or get.

All I want is my babies.

"Has he awoken Death?" I asked lowly.

One thing about the Professor is if anything big happens that needs dire attention, he'll awake Death from his sleep and send him out on a mission.

I have to think about my next move, the last I fought Death, I lost my fucking spine.

The brothers before me heartbeats's increase at the mention of Death. That guy is feared even more than me in the Division; and mysteriously, no one has ever seen his face.

"I-I don't think so...if he was awake, we'd all would've seen him in the training room already." Copy said

That's true, Death is known for spending his time in the training room. He has the most freedom out of everyone in the Division, but he uses that freedom to fight a stupid bean bag.

I sighed, coming to the conclusion that I'll be needing these two longer than expected.

"This'll never end..." I whispered to myself.

For now, I have to get my babies away from the eye of the Professor before getting ready for war.

"You both will be my eyes and ears, the Professor trusts you both to leave the facility and come back. You'll use that advantage to tell me the Professor's next move."

They immediately frowned in disbelief, "Medu! You know what he'll do to us if we do that." Carbon exclaimed.

"The Professor will indeed freeze your blood cells, having you experience torturous pain. What I will do will completely end you, so choose who you put your loyalty in honestly." These fools must've forgotten that I killed half of the newbies during their trail runs.

I waited patiently for the shifting brothers to conclude on what they'll do. Copy bravely looked up at me and proudly said, "I'm loyal to you, Commander Medusa."

Carbon nodded, agreeing with his brother.

"What will you do when we leave?" Carbon asked.

Waving him off, I went to open the door, "I trust you both to do your parts so trust that I'll help get everyone out with my plan." I said instilling hope within them.

The brothers took my words to heart and left peacefully. There was a completely different vibe from myself and them, fear is out of question...for now.

Those brothers may want to remain on the Professor's good side, but I know they'll continue to be in pain if the Professor is still alive.

He needs to die.

Everyone in Division 7 likes to play wannabe favorites of the Professor, which only creates bullying and conflict among the Division.

I remember after passing my trial run, I was put in Unit 7, the lowest and weakest Unit out of Division 7.

During my time there, other Units would pick at Unit 7 for our weak abilities. They'd say we were useless and that we weren't a real Unit due to our lowly developed powers.

Lots of the bullying were directed at me since I was a rebel. Every time I'd act out, it lead to the whole Division getting punished.

Everything was based on me, whatever I do or say, the professor would make it a whole Division's problem. So since I got everyone in trouble a lot, I got beat up a lot.

My lieutenant was Poseidon, she was one fierce ass fighter. Every mission we've been in, she'd swiftly and easily kill our targets in matters of minutes. She was that fast and quick witted.

Sadly, she was put in a frozen sleep after trying to take the Professor's life.

Poseidon had always had a soft spot for children, so when the Professor sent us on a mission near an orphanage in Afghanistan she lost her mind.

During the mission, our Unit caused lots of damage to the small village and the orphanage. After the mission, Poseidon broke down in tears after seeing the piles of dead children laying before us.

Our mission was supposed to be simple; get the gold and leave, but the villagers retaliated and one thing led to another.

When we returned to the Division, Poseidon immediately tried to kill the Professor. She took her chance at night and she surprisingly almost succeeded.

I heard everything that night.

"You murderer!!!!" She yelled as the guards dragged her down the sleeping corridor of all of the Units.

I jumped off my bed and ran up to the small window on my door. She was already looking at my door as she was passing by, immediately having our eyes meet.

"Pobunjenik! Da se nisi usudio da prestaneš da se boriš!" She yelled to me in her native language.

Everyone knew where the guards were taking her, they were going directly into the "Do not enter" zone. That zone is where the tests, procedures, and freezing is done.

You can hear the screams of people all day and night coming from there everyday. It was awful and yet I was in there all the time.

I had no idea what Poseidon had said to me but I repeat her words to myself everyday, hoping to one day be able to translate it.

After Poseidon was gone, my Unit was left without a lieutenant but Beast took the responsibility to protect us all from everyone else.

Beast was always loyal to his Unit members no matter what happened, I'm glad that I didn't actually kill him during my trail run. The Professor took caution and would always give Beast a dose of the istselenie serum before each of our fights.

I need everyone back.
