Last Chance
I swung my spear, dancing it to life as I took small steps towards Death.
This guy has no idea how much more power I've gain since the last time we've had a full strength fight.
With both our weapons drawn we charged towards each other and clashed them together. A loud vibrating echo sounded from the powerful force we've created, causing more homes to fall.
Death's swords and my spear danced together, blocking and hitting one another with each passing second.
He moved forward, I moved back. He moved to the left, I moved to the right. We were in unison as we fought, and it honestly felt like those movie scenes where two people are fighting each other with the same strength.
Honestly this is cool, but I'm not making any progress. So with a strong might, I pushed Death back and took this fight up a notch by breaking my spear into two.
Death cocked his head to the side, probably dumbfound by my cool weapon.
He rose his right sword and pointed it at me. Waiting patiently for his attack, I kept quiet and watched as he just stared at me.
What a weir-
In a split second he dropped his sword into the ground, and it now pierces my heart.
I know this move! What a grimly move!
I hadn't even done much of-
Death sent his other sword into my throat, immediately having me gasping for air.
"Nooo!! Mommy!" I heard Zain yell from his building.
Please don't come near me.
My knees met the ground, giving up just 5 minutes into the fight. This is embarrassing, the almighty Commander Medusa couldn't even kill Death.
The heavy sleep that I normally feel when on the verge of death weighed heavy on me, I tried to keep my eyes open but the longer I tried the weaker I felt.
Unknowingly, I gave in and my eyes fluttered closed, the light of the world had shut off as I heard the last belly grumbling roar from Beast echo throughout me.
~
"What is wrong with you?"
That voice...I'm back in this place again. Why is it still dark in here?
"Please tell me who you are? I am tired of being clueless." I said as I aimlessly began trudging through the darkness.
"You choose to be weak, why is that?" The voice asked.
"I'm not weak." I grumbled underneath my breath as I continued to walk in the dark.
"Let me out of here, and take me to the dead people world now." I said ready to be reunited with my dad.
The voice chuckled, "Your time has not come yet."
I halted my steps and groaned loudly, I've died like 3 times already. I've been more than lucky, and I'm so tired, why can't I just relax with the dead people now?
"Your power is far greater than you think. Why haven't you lighten this place up yet?" Said the voice.
A cold breeze whisked my neck, as the owner of the voice appeared close behind me, hiding in the darkness.
I didn't dare to attack nor look back.
"Try it. Let this power help you, become one with it."
Not going against the words of the voice being me, I openly let the nagging pain that resided in my heart erupt within me.
The emotional pain I had buried deep down inside of me, was the pain that also fueled this strange power.
Thoughts of all my past memories replayed in my head, from the losses of all my love ones, to the abuses I've been through these past years.
Everything was painful to rewatch, and yet I felt powerful at the same time.
I watched closely as a glimpse of light sparked from my hands and traveled up my arms. The light spread across my body in a matter of seconds, and it soon lit up the entire domain.
Turning around slowly, I finally was able to see the face of the voice.
There stood before me, a petite white woman. She had red hair that flowed down her back with bright blue eyes. Freckles scattered across her face and neck, adding a flare to her.
She was a basic person, but she smiled upon seeing me.
"You've finally done it." She said.
"Who are you?" I asked, pushing her praising words aside.
"I am Patient 01, the original Star. I along with others have been able to possess the power of the Star."
I looked around, searching for "the others" that she speaks of. It was clearly just her and I in this white domain.
She chuckled at my curiosity, "We are the only ones out of the many other people that have been able to fully merge with the Star."
Cocking my head to the side and furrowing my brows, I questioned her. "So then what happened to you? Are you dead?"
She paused and looked down at her feet before looking back up at me. "I broke the bridge that bonded the Star and I after loosing my child. Then it later consumed me." She softly said.
Oh...
The ginger quickly became serious and placed her hand on my shoulder, "I want you to listen very carefully. Don't lose control of your emotions, always remain intact with yourself....and don't let the professor win. We're all counting on you."
"...Now go, you have much to learn but that comes with time." She ended.
The weight of her hand on my shoulder lifted as she began to disappear...not only her but also the white domain that I was in.
Everything was disappearing as the outside world started to reappear before my very eyes.
And just like that, I'm back.
I laid dumbfounded, looking up at the blue sky as the sounds and smells of earth registered back to me.
"Don't let him get away with this, kill that monster." Shade yelled from afar.
My hands reached to touch my once pierced heart and throat- only to find nonexistent wounds and a bloody hole in my shirt.
That's so fucking cool.
Pushing myself up on my elbows, I scanned the area of any updates that had happened since I've been out.
Nearly the entire Division is taking hits at Death, group by group, it's all strategized. But its not making any progress.
They're all going out slowly...
Death is much stronger than we've all thought...maybe too strong.
He's looking a bit tired from having to constantly turn around and attacking new opponents, but it's not changing a thing on his performance.
His sword was cutting everyone that dared to come beat him, and everyone met their doom. Bodies dropped with each slash from his sword.
I know this isn't a time to admire this technique but damn..I fucking love his ability.
In the midst of me staring at Death, I didn't notice that he and Beast were at it once again. This time, Beast was in his full animalistic mindset.
He stood on all four and attacked like a giant feline. Beast claws were as tough as the metal armor on Death, and I witnessed it's durability as it cut through Death's armor and pierced his skin.
Blood dripped from Death's wounds as he raised his arm to swing his sword, but hesitated upon feeling the pain inflicted upon him.
Good job Beast, you've weakened the enemy.
Immediately, I stood on my feet and took this opportunity to step back into the fight.
