Walking into the familiar cemetery, I immediately followed the path going straight to my father.

I caught the sight of his headstone and stood before it. I stared down at it with a small smile.

You have no idea how much has changed dad, I'm trying to stay strong day by day, but every time I think about all that's happened to me, I fall a step back.

Closing my eyes is worse, I'm unstable at night due to my night terrors. More and more of everyday sounds put me back in that place, I feel terrible.

So far, since I've been out, I haven't experienced any episodes which is a very good thing. Hopefully, I can keep up my calm act.

Stepping aside to the left, I saw Jhak's tombstone. Damn, it's been a real long minute.

It's good to be here again, I feel a little better after coming here to see you both. So many of us died, this graveyard is filling up a little too much.

The footsteps of someone approaching behind me, interrupted my thoughts. I looked back and saw a young woman with a bouquet of yellow flowers in her hand.

She stopped before a stone a couple feet down from where I was. "Hi, Grandma Tasha, I know it's been a lil minute but I'm here now...."

Tasha?

"Omg, Grandma! RayRay got a new baby girl, him and Jasmine has been trying so long for one. I'm so happy for them, and guess what they named her.....Natasha!"

Oh shit, Mrs. Jackson is dead.

How did that happen? Did she get shot or something? What about my babies? If they're not with her then who are they with?!

Brunet! He must have my kids.

I left the cemetery in a hasty pace and started my long walking journey to Brunet's rich neighborhood.

~

Why didn't I just take a car? I've been out of civilization for 4 years and I've completely forgot about vehicles.

Can't blame myself, walking and running is all I did back in the Division.

The sun was setting, creating a beautiful masterpiece of all the colors in the rainbow in the sky. It was mesmerizing, so so pretty.

Ant should be watching this, he always indulged himself in whatever nature had to offer. I miss his sassy attitude and his contagious giggles.

I walked up to the door and rung the doorbell. My heart raced as I thought of what could happen. Will they be happy? Will they be mad? Will they be disgusted?

"Sugar and Ant get away from there! You'll hurt yourself!" I heard Brunet yell from within the house.

"Coming!" I heard a very familiar voice yell out.

They'll hate me.

I quickly moved away from the house and hid behind a big oak tree a couple of yards away from them.

They'll hate me, I know it. I broke Zain's promise and Ant probably doesn't even remember me. I can't just interrupt their lives, I have to keep a distance.

"Hello?" I heard Zain answer from the door.

Stay calm, stay calm.

The door closed and I swiftly climbed up the tree, watching from afar through their dining room window. The small family came together at the dinner table, each person had their own side of the table, and so far 3 people occupied the table.

Brunet sat at the head of the table, while Ant and Sugar sat on the sides. The seat across from Brunet was empty.

Zain came in the dining room with a mug look before taking a seat across from Brunet.

They've grown so much. Oh my gosh, they're baby faces are going away! Noooooo!

Ant seemed to still be the happy little boy he's always been, I can see him and Sugar are inseparable. They can't even keep still during prayer, both children were giggling from poking one another.

Zain, on the other hand, has changed. I can see it from his body language and face expression. He's annoyed and most likely is internally screaming to himself.

Not once have I seen a smile from him, I want to see him smile. The happiness of both my babies matter, because when they're happy, I'm happy,

Brunet finished his prayer and they all began eating.

"How was school today?" I heard Brunet ask the children.

Ant was quick to answer, "Ms. Bridgett gave me candy for not yelling out the answer in class today!" He exclaimed excitedly.

I chuckled at Ant's innocence, he has no idea how adorable he is.

Brunet smiled and patted Ant on the back, "Good job buddy, now let's try to control your excitement. You almost blew out my eardrums with that yell." He chuckled.

Ant nodded swiftly before taking a bite out of his food.

Brunet then looked at Zain, who was in a completely different universe. Zain ignored what was going on before him and quietly ate his food.

"Zain? How was school?" Brunet asked him.

Zain shrugged his shoulders, keeping his head down towards his food. "The usual, it's boring." He nonchalantly said.

Sugar and Ant then broke out into a small food fight, giggles and laughter erupted the room and immediately paddling of feet followed.

A small Yorkshire came running into the dining room, eating up all the food that spilled on the ground. "Sugar! Ant! Not again, ugh do you both want to get separated?" Brunet tiredly exclaimed.

The young children ignored him and continued to play. Sugar was aggressive and threw lots of food on Ant, resulting to the Yorkshire climbing onto Ant to get more food off of him.

Brunet groaned and put his fork down, he stood up and was about to take Sugar when Ant yelled out.

"Owww!" He cried out before streams of tears flowed from his eyes. The Yorkshire had bit Ant's arm.

"Stella!" Brunet yelled out to the dog, the dog jumped off of Ant and hastily ran out the dining room.

Zain excessively beating heartbeat caught my attention. He was clenching his jaw shut and held the fork in his hand tightly. There was no doubt he was angry.

Abruptly, he got up and went into the kitchen. Everyone was so focused on Ant that they didn't see Zain leave.

Just when things were calming down, the Yorkshire fearfully ran into the dining room and onto Sugar's lap. Shortly after Zain followed with a large butcher's knife.

"Zain! Put that down!" Brunet yelled.

Zain ignored him and put his hand out to Sugar, "Give me the damn dog." He calmly said.

Sugar's tears immediately started to flow out as she understood what Zain was trying to do. She shook her head no and cried out to her dad.

The stressed Brunet took the dog from Sugar, "Zain, the dog did it by accident. She's still a puppy. Calm down." He said, trying to reason with him.

Zain scoffed, "You want me to calm down?! That was the second fucking time that stupid dog bit my brother!"

"Language!"

Zain rolled his eyes, "Keep that dog away from my brother, that's my last warning. The next time it hurts him, I'll kill it."

He then dropped the knife on the ground before leaving the dining room.

Brunet sighed deeply before putting the dog down, "How did Janunu do it?"

Ant giggled, "Janunu is a funny name." He said which halted Sugar's cries and switched to series of giggles. They kept repeating my name and laughed out loudly, I chuckled myself at how silly those kids were.

Shortly after, they finished their dinner and the children went to bed whilst Brunet cleaned up. He looked miserable taking both the title of mother and father for all the children he cares for.

I know the feeling Brunet, you're not alone.

~

I remained seated in the tree, staring at the house for hours and hours. There was nothing else for me to do but watch over them.

Zain's room light switched on, having me turn to look at what's going on in his room. He had his curtains closed but I could still see the shadows of two people.

"What are you doing Ant? Go back to your room." A tired Zain softly said to his brother.

Ant's heartbeat was beating a little fast, meaning he had a nightmare. "I'm scared Zay." He said as he remained standing at the threshold of his door.

Zain groaned before lifting his covers up, "Come on, and don't pee in my bed," He told his brother.

The lights switched off and the door closed, then a small series of movement was heard.

Everything was still and quiet before Ant spoke up.

"Tell me about Mommy."
