Zain's eyes shut as he exhaled slowly. His blood was boiling in anger, but he's doing his best to keep it in.

"Fine, I'll help you save them." He said.

No, he can't. He'll get himself hurt, the people I'm going against aren't his typical bad guys. Those people are on a whole different level of bad.

I shook my head no, "You can't, you could-"

"I don't care, you may think that I'm not suited to fight alongside you, but you're underestimating me."

I'm not underestimating him, my judgement is purely on logic. Even when I was normal, I couldn't succeed in taking the Professor down.

"Zain, we're superhumans. Some of us can kill you with a thought, a look, a cell, a sound, or whatever. We're that powerful and you being in the mix isn't good for you."

Please just understand how dangerous it is for you Zain. I don't wanna see him getting hurt, but knowing Zain, he'll do whatever he wants with or without my approval.

Zain shook his head, "I don't care, you're not going without me."

I stood up, towering over Zain just by a few inches. He's growing like a weed, so fast it's flashing before me.

"You have to listen to me Zain, they could kill you. I could-"

A sharp pain erupted within my entire body, resulting to me instinctively shutting my eyes.

I felt Zain's hand touch my shoulder before quickly snapping away, "Mommy!-Ouch!"

The pain grew stronger, attaching itself on every single one of my organs. All of my organs felt as if they were dissolving and being replaced.

It was consistent and all I could do was scream. I screamed as loud as I did on the day I went into that tube.

This pain feels exactly as the pain I felt when I was in that tube.

"Medu!!" I heard Beast yell.

Hands and more hands touched me before they were all one by one snatched away. "What's going on?? Why does she feel like a blazing fire?!"

The blinding light that I saw in the tube came back. This light was getting brighter and brighter, and I don't think it has a limit. I felt the room getting smaller than it should be, whilst I was getting bigger.

"Get out! Get out! Get away from her!!" I heard a new person yell.

The scrabbling of feet sounded towards the door before it shut loudly.

"Ahhhhhhh!!!!" I screamed out before losing conscious and falling hard on the ground.

"Wake up."

Whose that?

I opened my eyes and saw nothing, literally. There was nothing but pitch black, I was surrounded by darkness everywhere.

Where am I?

"Hello?" I called out as my voice echoed.

No answered me but the erie sound of silence.

"Let me outta here! Let me out!" I yelled out. This must be the Professor's doing. He must've done something to me.

I took a step into the darkness and felt cold water on my bare feet. The ground is hard but there's a thin layer of water across it.

What is this place? How'd I get here?

"Janunu." I heard someone call from behind before a hand touched my shoulder.

My eyes widen before quickly shutting as the pain I felt earlier returned. A heartfelt scream of pain left my vocals as I curled myself in.

Why does this feel so much intense? I don't just feel it in me, but I feel it on my skin too.

"Stop closing your eyes, open them." The voice said to me.

"No!" I yelled. I'm afraid of turning someone into stone unintentionally. My eyes dilate when I'm in pain, triggering my gray eyes to come forth.

My knees started to give out, I was slowly lowering myself to the ground as the hand remained on my shoulder.

"P-please s-stop." I cried.

"Open your eyes." The voice said to me as my knees met the wet ground.

A whimper left my lips as I slowly opened my eyes. I blinked a couple of times, trying to adjust to the blinding light.

The darkness from before was now gone, there was now that blinding light surrounding me.

It's so bright!

"Look at you!"

I looked down at my hands and saw something unbelievable.

There was some sort of orange, blue, and white fraying gas coming out of me. I tried to push my pain aside as I amazingly watched my skin glow brightly.

I'm the blinding light!

"W...what's happening to me?!" I asked the voice

A small scoff came from behind me, "You're the next Star."

My eyes shot open before I started panicking. Where was I? Who was that?

I hurriedly sat up and got off the bed, my Unit must've put me on the bed after I fell unconscious.

Leaving the room, I went into the living room where I heard voices. I didn't make any sudden movements or say anything to the group of people before me.

Beast, Vissi, Shade, Flight, Ennim, and Copy were all seated on the couches, discussing matters about the Professor.

Where and how did they get here?

Copy looked up at me and gasped, "....you're up." He softly said.

One by one, heads turned to look at me. Then smiles began to cover the faces of my Unit members.

"Medu!" Shade exclaimed as she got up and ran towards me.

She seems fine and looks the same as the last I saw her.

Her dark brown hair was shorten to her mid back, and her skin was still that radiant olive color. She was a petite being, smaller than me, but her work made up for that. Shade orignated from Argentina, where she was taken by the Professor at the ripe age of 16.

I stop her with a hand to her chest. There was a large bandage wrapped around her upper arm, "What happened?" I asked, nudging my head towards her arm.

Flight stood up and patted her shoulder, "That...is the only hit that we as a group got when we escaped the Division." He said as his accent strongly flowed with the English words.

I took a good look at Flight, checking to see if he took any damages too. He didn't have a scratch on him, and he too looked fine as well.

His clear smooth melanated skin was finally moisturized for once, and his hair was cut as well. His long bushy beard was much fuller and darker, giving him a full grown man look.

Flight was known for his sharp features and his heavily muscled body, this meant he was bullied the least back at the Division. This beautiful man was from Ghana before the Professor took him at the age of 7.

"How? The Division is heavily guarded no one comes in or out without the approval of the Professor. The guards are even caution when a loyal subject leaves for a mission." I said.

My Unit members looked back at Copy, "The mastermind behind our escape is sitting right there." Flight said.

I looked at Copy with a questioning look, "Well? Are you going to say anything?" I asked, getting impatient on how they could have easily escaped.

Copy looked at me, he looked tired and sick. There were deep dark circles around his eyes, and his skin was paler than usual. He fidgeted every once in a while, something is clearly wrong with him.

"C-commander...I had to. I had to kill them."He said vaguely.

My feet was quick to move to his side, I kneeled before him and held his head to look at me. "Who? Who did you kill?" I asked.

Copy's eyes watered as he tried to shake his head, "He...the Professor, he tried to fix Carbon from glitching. Carbon's powers was weakening out of no where, and eventually he started turning into a gooey matter."

Oh no, he's a fail. When we start to malfunction, the Professor calls us a fail and would "try" to fix us. He infact didn't try to fix us, instead he'd end us.

"He killed him." I whispered.

Copy nodded his head, "Then I started to glitch, and I knew he was going to come after me, Commander. My entire Unit was going after me...so I killed them and took these three with me to escape. It wasn't planned, it just happened."

I sighed sadly before getting up to sit next to him, "We'll help you. We'll find a way to stop you from glitching."
