Code Red
Zain
I couldn't sleep all night, last night. How could my mom do that to us. She'd say that Ant and I were her crowns all the time, so why would she leave us?
She had us all fooled by her death show, I promise to never believe her again. She's a liar! She probably even lied about all that stuff her family did to her too.
I'm sure she provoked the Red Skins last night. I was on my way home when I heard the gunshots being fired back at Sola's house. Those shots were so loud that it rung my eardrums, and they just kept going.
I'm not gonna lie, I was scared for my mom but that fear eventually switch when I saw Sola running out the house.
She was yelling, "Find her!" So I knew that my mom got out, hopefully she was ok. But still, I hate her for leaving us.
Knock
Knock
I poked my head out from under my weighted sheets. The cool breeze of my room whisked my face as the fall season began to move in.
"Come in." I said
My door opened and Jaja poked her head in my room with a wide smile. Ugh, what does she want now?
Jaja skipped into my room with a ray of sunshine trailing behind her. She then sat at the foot of my bed and patted my legs.
"Today is your day for Show and Tell, what will you show your class?" She nosily asked.
After mom left, Jaja stepped in and helped Brunet take care of us. Then when Grandma died, Jaja helped twice as much.
She's cool and all but her annoying traits are by far more superior than all of her traits combined.
I groaned and kicked my feet from under my covers, "Leave me alone, I'm not gonna do that stupid Show and Tell." I said as I got up off my bed.
Jaja gasped and followed after me as I walked out my room. "Nooo, you have to do it. It's for a grade, and you can tell people about something sacred to you." She reasoned with me.
Ignoring her rant, I went to the bathroom and shut the door right after I walked in. Jaja has a tendency of not knowing when people need privacy.
I may be 11 but at least I know when someone needs some privacy. It's sad an 18 year old can't comprehend that.
"Zay! You can't just not do the Show and Tell. You'll regret not doing it one day." She yelled from outside my door.
I rolled my eyes and began brushing my teeth. Just leave me alone.
After my hygienic morning routine, I left the bathroom and caught Ant chasing Sugar. From the looks of it, I knew they were up to no good. Those two are always up to something.
"Hey! Get back here!" I yelled out as I went after them.
I followed them into the living room where Jaja was watching TV on the couch. They're loud laughs and loud heavy feet was able to have Jaja peel her eyes off the TV.
Sugar and Ant crashed onto her lap and dragged her down to the ground. They went from chasing each other, to ganging up on Jaja.
Ant and Sugar loved to that, whenever Jaja is around they'd make it their lives's goal to ruin Jaja's day.
They were kicking her sides with their small feet and jumping on her. All I could do was shake my head disappointedly at this show before me.
Sad...just sad.
I turned on the heel of my feet and went back to my room. Opening my closet doors, I began to blindly put on outfit together.
Everyday, I make no effort in putting an outfit together. Most days I choose to dress up in the worse outfit I could think of in order to have the kids in my class to leave me alone.
People at my school are too nice that it fucking irritates me to the point of wanting to jump off a bridge.
The only people who aren't nice at my school are Braden and his little followers. That group of kids are the only corruption of the school since they're involved with the Red Skins.
Well I too am involved, so maybe I'm corrupted too.

Standing at the entrance of my school, St. John's K-8 Educational Center, I had no other feeling but annoyance. Another day to fill my head with a bunch of bullshit. Yay.
A small hand tapped my side, "Zay" I heard Ant call from beside me.
"Hm?" I hummed.
Please don't say anything about that lady, I've spent all night trying to get her outta my head.
"Can we get ice cream after school?" He asked.
A smile came across my lips as Ant reminded me of our weekly routine, I put my arm around him and started walking into the school.
"Definitely."

"You multiply what's in the parentheses and then add...so the answer is 13."
Mrs. Glenn's math class is boring, the entire class time, I was staring out the window. Math is a repetitive of ways to solve a problem that may look complex but is actually easy.
The only time I'm excited to be in school is when there's tests. On testing days, everyone is so anxious and nervous that it's as quiet as a library in class.
Testing days are also the days where I feel the most peaceful, and there's no one to bother me.
"Hey, Zain do you wanna work together?" The same familiar soft, squeaky voice said to me.
I internally groaned to myself as Ariya moved to sit next to me. Seems like the teacher made us get into pairs to finish the rest of the assignment.
Ariya had pulled my paper towards her and took a look at my progress. She gasped, "Oh my gosh, you've already finished it." She said.
I hummed and continued to look out the window, I wish I had a better view. One with like trees or pretty houses, just anything worth eye pleasing.
This view only showed me a single road next to a small empty market that no one's goes to.
My attention was just about to be turned over to Ariya when I saw several black SUVs hastily pulling up to the school. I sat up in my seat and watched as the doors of the SUVs opened, and several men in heavy gear ran out.
What the fuck is going on??
A big van then pulled up and I watched as a huge thing got out of it. What is that?!! Is it some type of werewolf from Teen Wolf or something?!!!
Everyone coming out of those cars was coming into the school and I began to panic. "Woah, what's going on?" I heard Ariya whisper to herself.
The alarms in the school rang throughout every hallway and room. "Code Red! Code Red!" The automated voice in the PA yelled out.
Oh shit!
