"Everybody! Keep pushing! We've almost got everyone!" Shade yelled from afar.

A relieved sigh left me after successfully pulling another chip out of someone's neck.

The downfall of Valda has weakened her influence on her Unit, and with that the coordination of the other controlled members have dispersed.

The Professor may be controlling them, but he still needs a lieutenant to push his orders out.

I looked away from the bloody chip in my hand, and turned to look at the fighting crowd way ahead of me.

They were physically pushing the fight towards the big lake in the middle of Kingston Housing. I was the only one left back here, making sure to be around when the newly freed superhumans had awoken.

I'm pretty sure Zain has a close eye on me from his building. He should be filled with anger and resentment towards me, but if it's what keeps him safe then so be it.

I will not be like my father and force my child into my dangerous world at his young age. No matter how eager they are to join it, I will not let them in until they've showed me they're strong enough to carry the burdens that come with being in my world.

Hey...I know that heartbeat...

I turned my head hard enough to snap it. My eyes were in dire need to verify who I was hearing. It has to Death, although I didn't catch him in time...he's gone.

My legs and arms reacted to the sudden endangerment I felt, and quickly got up to get in my fighting stance.

Hyperly scanning the area, I watched for any movements. The surrounding area of demolished homes and fallen trees was still, giving no sign of Death anywhere.

My ears remained in tuned for his abnormal heartbeat. Hearing dirt falling towards my left, I turned to look in that direction, catching a small glimpse of Death falling into his dome.

He's in the ground, where he hides all the time.

Death's abilities are honestly pretty cool and terrifying. Just  from standing on anything, Death is able to portal into a separate domain. I've always envied it since he gets his own world away from the real chaotic one.

A heavy metal footstep came from behind me, activating my legs to work. I swung my leg back, twirling my body ready to land a hit on my opponent.

My foot met the hard steel metal of Death's body armor. A wave of a retched bone breaking  pain crawled up to my leg.

Janunu!! You fucking dumbass!!!!

"Ahhh!!!" I yelled, immediately falling into the ground. I haven't even done much of anything, and here Death is, already looking down at me.

"The Commander!" I heard the voice of one my men.

Don't come near us! I wanted to yell stay back... I know what'll happen to everyone if they try to help me.

Death's mission has always been the same, retrieve whatever the professor wants by all means. He'll end them faster than I've ever killed.

The running of the people behind me, caught me ears as I shakily moved to get up.

I heard a groan from Death, before his metal boots moved to come near me.

Faster! Get up!

Trying to push myself up faster only strained my leg. "Ahh!"

Death's boot landed on my back, crushing me into the ground, earning a stomach filled lullaby from me.

My hands clenched onto the gravel, squeezing it hard as my insides burst out blood within.

"Get off of her!"

Death's boot was instantly removed off of me and a loud thud sounded not to far from me. Looking up, I caught Beast wrestling Death.

He had him by his neck, choking him through his body armor. Although, Death wasn't fazed a bit, instead I caught him slipping his glove off.

No, Beast! "Get away from him! Let him go, now!" I yelled sternly as a pair of hands touched my broken leg.

Pushing them away, I sucking up my screams and moved forward towards the rumbling men.

"Commander stop! You'll cause further damage upon yourself!" I heard Minnelli cry out.

"Yes Medu, stay still so she can heal you." Vissi pleaded from my other side.

Have these people forgotten what this mad man can do?! He'll kill Beast!

With my focus on Death's hands, I ignored the warning from those fools. There's no need for her to heal me, I'll heal on my own in due process.

"Vissi! Get everyone away from here now!" I yelled.

"But-"

Death's glove finally came off, and out revealed a fresh clean hand. Not a second later it started to decay.

"I said now!!" I yelled again before charging towards Death.

From behind me portals opened and the several heartbeats of my people disappeared. Another portal under Beast also opened, and he fell through, leaving Death behind for me.

Death never took his eyes off me from the moment Beast attacked him. The eyes behind his mask was glued on its target...me.

Forcing my healing rate to speed up with each step I took, I was able to somewhat get on the same level as Death.

This is an even fight again.

He may be covered in metal, but that's not gonna stop me from hitting him. I'll beat him until every piece of metal falls off of him.

With the same leg, I kicked with before, I went in for another kick...only difference is, I'll use my full strength this time.

My leg aimed for his side, which he was able to block in time due to my speed. Death flew back a couple of meters, further demolishing the area.

He disappeared once again, before he reappeared behind me. Damn, he recovers quick.

I instantly felt his presence and dodged the punch he aimed at my back. Moving aside, I saw that he initially was going to use his militated hand for the punch.

Fucking monster.

Keep away from his hands, Nu.

How do I fight him when his hand is like that? A touch from it and I'm gone.

The only thing that'll help me in this fight is my spear, and as much as I hate that thing, it's  times like this where it proves it's value.

Turning towards the front of the community, I ran towards it, putting much more distance between me and the others.

As I expected, Death went back into his domain. That lazy freak, doesn't walk or run much, he's always taking the easy way to get around.

I got far enough for me to be able to go full out without having to be cautious.

Tapping the tip of my middle finger with my thumb twice, it split open, releasing the micro lead from within my skin.

Throwing it in the air, it expanded to its true form. A two point end, long black metal spear...my spear.

Grabbing it quickly, I swiftly turned around and pointed it at the prowling Death.

I'm not a fool you idiot. I know your moves. Your a fucking mountain lion dressing in metal.

Death halted, staring at me through his mask. He let out a low groan before lifting his arms behind him.

His once bare back revealed two swords strapped across the moment his hands touched the handles.

Everything about this guy is so different, he's interesting. I know little to nothing about him, but his power and the way he carry's himself is so...unique.

Unique...that bastard killed her!
