A ground shaking roar came from afar, putting a halt to my steps. That was Beast! My feet moved in its own, rushing over to where I heard Beast's roar.

Arriving to the scene I saw Beast surrounded by an even mix of Unit 3 and Unit 5 members. Rock and Misty were both from Unit 5, whilst Loco and Tiny were from Unit 3.

It's unusual for Beast to roar for help, he loves uneven or unfair fights, mostly where he's against the odds. Unless...he's hurt.

My presence drew the attention of Beast, he looked at me with a worried looked. It was until he turned to show me the unconscious baby in his arms, that lead me to understand the reason behind his roar.

Tiny lunged at Beast with her axe ready to plunge into his chest, resulting in me jumping into action.

We raced each other, both of us wanting to get to Beast first.

I pushed forward and slowly exhaled, accelerating in the process. As soon as I was in arms reach of Beast, he pushed the baby towards and I gladly took it.

Once the baby was in my hands, I quickly averted my direction and let Beast defend himself.

Another earth quaking roar came from Beast as he jumped forward onto all fours.

The baby in my hands stirred awake in my arms before it started to wail out it's cries.

I took a look at the baby and realized that it was a girl. Her parents are either dead or loosing their minds trying to find her.

My finger went to wipe her tears off of her caramel colored cheeks. "Don't worry, you'll be fine." I whispered to her.

"Flight!"  I called out into the Unit's mind-link intercom. It's been a short while since I've used  it.

"Yes, Medu?"  Flight answers quickly.

"Are you and my kids ready? I have someone that needs to be picked up at the main intersection of Brunet's neighborhood."

"We're ready, my platoon will escort your children to their post and I'm on my way to you now. You can send the person up." Flight said.

I followed what Flight wanted me to do and threw the baby up high into the sky. Knowing Flight, I trust that he'll catch her.

Once the baby was out of my hands, I jumped into the fight. Rock already had his eyes on me and gestured to the others to leave me alone.

I guess it's him and me.

Heavily breathing over the unconscious men and women at our feet, Beast and I shared a relieved look before fist bumping each other.

We've successfully knocked out our opponents after an exhausting fight.

"We have to hurry and get these chips out of them before someone else comes along." I said as I moved to get on my knees.

A portal opened up near us, pulling our attention from the unconscious people that laid before us.

Ennim and Vissi walked out of it all bloody and bruised. "What happened?" I asked.

Ennim pointed to the portal that was still opened, and out walked 11 more people. They each bowed their heads upon seeing me.

I smiled after seeing how many people we've freed from the Professor's chips.

Someone patted my back, making me turn to look behind me. I saw Brunet in tactical gear with a few of his own people coming out of another portal.

"We've got more people to help our cause Janunu, now what's our next orders?" He said, smiling down at me.

Standing up, I pointed down at the men on the ground. "Get the chips out of their necks." I said.

Ennim and Vissi pulled out their own knives and began dissecting the necks of Misty, Tiny, Rock, and Loco.

Bolt flashed into the scene, abruptly stopping before me. "Commander! Shade, Copy, and I manage to get chips out of the members of Unit 6 and 4. They're on their way now, but we've got a big problem." He said out of breathe.

I frowned, not liking that our progress could take a turn for a worse. "What is it?" I asked.

"Death...I saw him get here. He's around here somewhere and on top of that Unit 1 has dispersed back to the Division. I think they're going to get re-enforcements."

Shit!

I turned to look back at Brunet, "How many more of your men can you get here asap?"

If Unit 1 went to get help, that means they'll come back with men from the Professor's tactical team. They're just regular humans but they're large in numbers, greater than the 49 superhumans that the Professor has.

Brunet tilted his head to his radio that was attached to his shoulder. He clicked a button on the side of it and spoke into it.

"Get me all available men to Kingston's Housing, now." He said.

Smiling, I turned back to my men. "We've got-"

The heavy boots and many heartbeats of people from echoed in my ears. They're dangerously growing by the minute, and they're coming straight towards us.

"Alright, we fight until every last one of our comrades is free. Capture the members of Unit 1 and please try to stay alive." I said as I turned to face the direction of where our ops were coming from.

They look like tiny ants from where they were but I could definitely see Val's little head, leading them towards us. She's come back for a round 2.

"W-wait, what about Death? If he's really here then there's no point in fighting. He'll kill us all before we could even think about fighting back." Said the small voice of Frost.

I'll have my second round with him too, "Leave him to me, and just focus on the people before us." I said.

After knocking Hollow out with a direct hit on her pressure point, an ear deafening gunshot was heard from behind me. I turned around to see Julie laying face flat on the ground with a bullet hole on the back of her head.

With all of the fighting happening around me; I ignored it and pushed Julie onto her back.

Who did this?

We're not supposed to be killing each other, so who the fuck thought it would be a good idea to do this??

I went to pick her up, but before I could touch her, she gasped awake. Moving away I watched as she coughed excessively before the chip flew out of her mouth.

What just happened?

Quickly, I looked in the direction of where the gun is being fired. It's a sniper but who is it?

A gust of wind picked up behind me making me turn around to see Flight landing on the ground. He had his beautifully enormous white wings out as he approached me with a frown.

"Medu, their numbers keeps on growing. Portals from the facility opens up here every 10 minutes with more men coming out of them!" He yelled as a geared human ran for him.

He stretched out his right wing and flung the person away from him.

Ignoring his negative report, I pointed down at unconscious Julie, "Whats going on with her?" I asked

Flight approached me and kneeled down near Julie. He touched the blood on the back of her head and tasted it, "This is my venom from my anti virus bullets, how did this happen?" He asked.

Someone grabbed my arm, turning me to look away from Julie. I quickly went for the person's throat, but the sight of Brunet's face halted my actions.

He was heavily breathing under all of his gear, "What's wrong?" I asked.

"Why do you have Zain on the fucking battlefield?!" He panicked.

Wait, Zain is here?!

"Where the fuck is he?!" I yelled as I began to frantically look around.

Brunet grabbed my head and turned it towards a tall building, miles away from us. "Besides you, I only know one other person who loves headshots, and thats Zain. He's the fucking sniper."

I didn't teach Zain about guns, so how does he know how to use one?

Swatting Brunet's hands away from me, I glared into his eyes. "Brunet...who taught my kid to use a gun?" I lowly asked.

This guy didn't have to say a thing for me to know the answer. This bafoon taught him.
