Namit was playing with her hair and Neha was snuggled to his chest. Both were enjoying the silence and feeling each other after a long time.

Namit : Neha?? Slept sweetie???

Neha lifted her head a little and smiled : No

Namit brought her on top of him and kissed her hair : I missed you....

Neha kissed his chest : Me too....

Namit asked slowly and carefully : Neha darling can I ask you something??

Neha giggled : Since when you started taking permission?? Of course ask away.....

Namit : See it's just a suggestion don't panic ok.

Neha stiffened hearing him and tried to get up but Namit tightened his hold : Baby relax....

Neha : Please just spill it out....

Namit took a deep breath and then said : Yesterday me, mom and dad were having breakfast and they suggested me something..

Neha confused : What??

Namit : Do we need our blood and DNA to love a child like our own??

Neha asked perplexed : What you mean by this????

Namit : Mom dad suggested us to adopt a baby.

Neha got up with a jerk and shouted : WHAT??

Namit also got up instantly and wrapped an arm around her shoulder : Relax ok I was just sharing it with you. We are not doing any such thing without your permission. It will be our decision. Your and mine and your opinion matters to me a lot darling.

Neha : They... I...I need time to think about it. What do you feel about this?

Namit : Honestly I feel mom and dad are right. There are so many couples in this world who cannot have their own child due to various reasons and also there are many children out there who don't have their own parents. Adopting a child will fulfill our wish of becoming parents and will give an opportunity to a good life to that kid. So I think it's a great thing to do.....

Neha : I don't know what to say... Give me some time....

Namit kissed her temple : Take all the time you want. Just think with a broad mindset ok? True relations are bonded from heart Neha not by blood.

Neha nodded her head giving him a weak smile. Namit knew this thing had shaken her up from inside so to divert the topic for the time being he said : Hey one more thing!

Neha : What now??

Namit : I was thinking of going somewhere. Just you and me. I didn't even took you for a proper honeymoon.

Neha smiled and kissed his cheek : Who told you that? Our Kashmir trip was one of the best trips of my life but if you want to take me somewhere then I don't mind.....

Namit grinned : That's like my girl. Tell me where you want to go??

Neha : Place doesn't matter as long as we are together....

Namit thought for a while : How about Paris?? The city of love??

Neha's face lit up at his words : Paris?? You know I always wanted to visit it once in a lifetime with the love of my life.

Namit : Then you should have told me earlier I would have taken you beforehand.

Neha : Well now I am telling you....

Namit : I will inform about my leave tomorrow at the hospital and then do all the arrangements.

Neha : Ok I will do our shopping till then...

Namit pulled her back to sleeping position with him spooning her.

Neha : Namit sorry....

Namit asked confused : Sorry? Why??

Neha : Sorry because I couldn't fulfill your wish of becoming a father

Namit sighed : Neha you are my world and I love you with or without a child. It doesn't matter we will have a child or not as long as we are together. I would live without a baby but without you.....

Neha interrupted mimicking his tone : Is not even an option!! I know hubby...

Namit bit her neck lightly : Ohh so now someone mimics me huh???

Neha tried to wiggle out from his grip giggling but he just howered above her for a beautiful night and satisfied the longing of both after a long time.

Neha and Namit left for Paris after three days and enjoyed their one week trip to the fullest. It was a beautiful change for them from the recent happenings in their lives. They visited different sights to see, shopped many different items for themselves and their families, watched plays at the local theatre and nights again were sizzling. On their last day, Namit had gifted her a beautiful red dress and had arranged a date for her at Eiffel tower.Neha literally cried in joy on their last day seeing herself at the top of Eiffel tower with the love of her life. They returned back with the glow and contentment on their faces which made their families sigh in relief.

On Namit's insistence Neha had not yet resumed her college. He wanted her to relax a bit longer. So one day after Kavita and Yash left to attend their friend's party, Neha was feeling bored. She called her mother to talk but Neel started crying as he wanted to go and play in park so Muskaan disconnected the call promising to call later. Megha, Akash and Namit were in hospital so she thought to call one of her friend and meet for lunch.

On the way, she saw a traffic jam and asked the driver to park the car sideways and she got down to see the commotion. Neha was shocked to see the sight. The young man was lying lifeless and still. His wife maybe as it looked was screaming in pain holding her very pregnant belly and a small boy who had bruises on his face and arms was crying badly holding his mother's hand in his small grip.

Neha's started shivering seeing the sight specially when she heard that lady's scream and looked at her. Flashes of her accident started coming in front of her eyes. But that lady's constant screams drew her attention and she took a deep breath to calm her nerves. She was not fortunate enough to save her child that day but today she won't let the same thing happen to this lady. She quickly called an ambulance and asked their driver to follow.

On reaching the hospital, the family was immediately taken for treatment. She dailled Namit but his phone was switched off. Then she called Megha but she was informed that Dr. Megha was on her rounds and she left her phone at reception. Her last option was Akash as she reverently wished him to pick up her phone.

Akash picked up the call after few rings : Hey Neha..

Neha : Jiju where are you??

Akash became alert hearing her serious voice : What happened Neha? Are you alright?

Neha : Yes I am fine. Are you free now?

Akash : Yes just finished with my last patient. I am going to canteen for lunch.

Neha sighed in relief : Great. Come down near trauma unit. I am there waiting for you.

Akash sprinted towards trauma unit and spotted Neha standing alone in a corner. He went near her and checked her from head to toe for any injury.

Neha : Jiju I am fine.

Akash frowned : Then why you called me here and what are you doing in hospital?

Neha narrated the entire incident to him and asked him to go inside and check on the family as no one was informing her anything. Akash went and came out after sometime.

Neha asked as soon as he came out : Jiju what happened?

Akash sighed : The man died on the spot. His wife is in OT. They are doing her delivery now as the baby was in distress and that small boy is fine. Just some bruises so his dressing is done but he was crying very much so they have sedated him for a while.

Tears welled up in her eyes hearing that : That's not done jiju. Why such things happen to anyone.

Akash engulfed her in a hug and rubbed her back to console her. He knew this accident brought back the memories of her own accident. Megha was passing by and saw Neha crying in Akash's embrace. She hurriedly went near them.

Megha : Oh my God Neha you here? Are you ok dear?

Neha wiped her tears and hugged her sister. Megha got startled but reciprocated the hug : What happened sweetie. Tell your sister...

She broke the hug and told Megha everything.

Megha : That's really sad to hear. Akash did that woman delivered the baby?

Akash : I don't know. They said the woman is still in the delivery room.

Megha : Let me go and check then. You two wait here.
