Neha was still sleeping when Kavita knocked on her door. Hearing her weak reply, she hurriedly went inside her room. She saw Neha was still in bed and her face was looking pale. She quickly checked her temperature and gasped feeling her hot forhead.

Kavita : Neha my dear you are having fever. Wait I will call a doctor.

Neha replied weakly : No maa no need for calling a doctor. I am having my monthly cycle right now that's why may be I am having a high body temperature.

Kavita : Beta you are looking pale and weak. What's the harm in getting a check up done?

Neha : No maa I don't feel like. I will call Meghadidi and ask her for medicines. I will be fine.

Kavita sighed : Alright ask her and give me the list of medicines. I will send the servant to a nearby pharmacy store to get it. Also call your college and inform them you are not going today.

Neha : But maa....

Kavita said sternly : No means no Neha. I won't allow you to step out of this house till you are fine. So either you call or I will ask Yash to call and inform them.

Neha : Ok I will inform them, happy!

Kavita : You talk to Megha and I will send the breakfast for you here only. Rest afterwards and no need to come down for lunch also. I will bring it in your room.

Neha smiled weakly and called Megha to ask her about medicine. Soon after she had breakfast and eat medicines, she slept again.

Namit was calling her phone since so long but she was not picking up. His thoughts were stuck on her only. Come-on Neha pick up the phone baby. I am worried for you. Let me hear your voice once darling. Atlast after his futile attempts, he called his mother to inquire about Neha.

Kavita : Hello Namit how are you my boy?

Namit : Hey Mom I am doing good. Just busy in work. How are you and dad?

Kavita : We are fit n fine you see. Why you called at this time beta? Anything wrong?

Namit : Actually I was calling Neha since an hour but she is not picking up her phone. Is she at home or left for college?

Kavita : No she is at home only. She was having fever this morning so I asked her to get a leave from work and rest at home. She is sleeping beta and I kept her phone on silent so her sleep didn't get disturb.

Namit got restless hearing that Neha was having fever : Mom did she had any medicine? I will ask Akash to come home and check her.

Kavita : Namit son relax. I made her eat breakfast and gave her medicine. Megha had prescribed her which medicine to take. So you don't worry.

Namit : Mom take care of her and ask her to call me when she wakes up.

Kavita smiled happily seeing Namit's concern for Neha.

Kavita : Namit beta has your work done there or you still need to be there for sometime more?

Namit : No mom my work is almost completed. Just need to fulfill some formalities and then I will be back home with you all.

Kavita : Good because Neha is missing you so much. She doesn't say this to us and always tries to stay cheerful in front of us but I can sense her loneliness. She needs you Namit. It's high time you come back to your wife.

Namit : I know Mom and believe me I am missing her more. I will come back maybe within this week but don't tell her this. Let it be a surprise for her.

Kavita : Now you are talking like my son. Sometimes I wonder you are my child or not?

Namit rolled his eyes : Mom please I am in the middle of work. Let's continue this drama of yours when I return back.

Kavita scoffed : Yeah yeah now you will think my feelings as drama only. You are a married man now!!!!

Namit : Mom please give me a break. Try this tactics on some one who is not aware of your antics. Not me.

Kavita : Alright...

Namit : Also don't forget to tell Neha to call me when she wakes up and mom please take care of her.

Kavita : Namit she is my daughter. I will look after her very well. Don't worry. Just come back soon baby.

After talking to his mother, he tried to get back to work but his mind was stuck at his wife only. He so wanted to jump on the plane and fly to India at this moment. He messaged her thinking she will read it when she will wake up.

Namit : Darling call me when you wake up. I will be waiting. Mom told me you have fever. Take rest and medicines on time. Dare you step out of our house till you are better. Missing you so much sweetie. Wish I was there taking care of you but I promise your husband will be back soon. Take care.

Neha woke up fresh after resting well. Her body was sweating as her temperature reduced so she went for a quick bath.

Kavita came in her room and asked : Are you feeling better now Neha?

Neha : Yes maa I am feeling better.

Kavita lovingly caressed her hairs : That's nice dear. I will send your lunch to your room only. Me and your papa are going for getting his regular check up done. Want to come with us and get yourself checked?

Neha shook her head : No I am fine now. I am sure by tomorrow, I will be back to normal.

Kavita : Alright we will be back in an hour. Call me or your papa if you need anything. Your medicines are there at your side table. Don't forget to have them after lunch.

Neha : Ok I won't forget and maa! Don't send my lunch here. I will come down and have it with you guys.

Kavita : Beta you were sleeping and we were getting late for your Papa's appointment so we both had lunch. But we can give you company while you eat.

Neha : No no maa you and papa must leave for his check up. I don't want you two to get late because of me. I will be fine.

Kavita : You sure dear?

Neha smilingly : Absolutely maa now go and come back soon.

Kavita left to go but turned remembering something : One more thing Neha. Namit called while you were sleeping. He asked me to inform you to call him. He was worried.

Neha : Ok maa will do.

After Kavita left, she picked up her phone to call him when she saw several missed calls from him and read his message. Namit was right yesterday night she behaved as one of those clingy wives.

Namit was resting in his bed when Neha called. He picked up the call quickly

Namit : Neha you ok baby?

Neha : Yes I am good now. Sorry I didn't received your calls earlier. Actually....

Namit cut her in between : I know you were sleeping Neha. Mom told me. So just chill. Is the fever gone now or still there?

Neha : No my fever is gone now. Sorry for behaving irrationally last night.

Namit : Don't say sorry honey! You know even I am missing you madly. But don't worry your husband will be in front of you very very soon and then you can punish me for leaving you alone for this long. I will gladly accept your all your punishments.

Neha giggled : Ohh yes I will surely punish you husband. Just wait till I get my hands on you.

Namit : I don't mind your hands on me wifey!!

Neha blushed : Me either.

Namit : Can't wait.

Neha : Namit I am hungry. Can I go and have my lunch now?

Namit : Of course and don't forget to have your medicines my darling. Rest and call me later ok

Neha : Ok I will. You too rest. Bye sweetheart.

Namit was stunned hearing an endearment from her for the first time : Someone is getting all romantic huh!

Neha : Side effect of someone's company.

Namit : Well the side effect is good so no complain. Infact kiss that someone for me.

Neha : I will when I meet him. Till then miss me

Namit : Ok Mrs. Take care and get well soon baby.
