Neha was talking with her in-laws and sharing the happy news of Megha's pregnancy with them when Namit called her. Her phone came busy so he again called after sometime but it was still busy. He frowned and wondered with whom she was talking since so long specially at this time. It would be night time in India.

He had appointment lined up after lunch but he wanted to talk to Neha before he goes back to work. He was getting restless when his phone rang and picked up at once seeing the caller ID.

Namit : I was trying to call you since an hour Neha!!

Neha smiled sheepishly : Sorry but was talking to maa and papa. Do you need to get back to work?

Namit : Yes but still there is time so tell me what all things you were talking with my parents.

Neha : Why should I tell you about all that?

Namit chuckled : Ok madam don't tell. I need to tell Mom Dad that they have son also not just daughter in law. They never talk so much with me.

Neha grinned : Why do I smell jealousy hubby?

Namit felt surprised hearing her. He liked when she addressed him as hubby. Also he noticed that her voice was more cheerful today.

Namit : What happened? Someone seems in a good mood today.

Neha : Yes because someone is going to become aunty to a cute little baby soon.

Namit was silent for few minutes and then a wide smile spread across his lips : Megha is pregnant. That's indeed a good news.

Neha : Yes Didi is two months pregnant. I am so excited Namit. Can you believe it we are going to be uncle and aunty.

Namit chuckled : Yes it's hard to believe but we are going to be uncle and aunty. Is baby and Megha's health good?

Neha : Yes they both are fine. You had lunch?

Namit : Yes what about you?

Neha : Namit it's night time here. And night meal is called dinner. So yes I had dinner.

Namit : I know night meal is called dinner and FYI I was asking about your dinner only smarty!

Neha laughed and Namit was lost in her melodious laugh. He felt like his day became brighter feeling her joy.

Neha : Namit you there?? Hello...

Namit was jerked back : Yes... Yes Neha tell

Neha : I was asking don't you want to go back to work? Your lunch time is over Dr. Saxena.

Namit : Yes Mrs. Saxena I am going back to my cabin only. Will call you back later. Also tell Megha and Akash congratulations from me. I will call them maybe tomorrow??

Neha : I will inform them. Namit..????

Namit was called by the nurse saying his appointment was waiting for him. He hurriedly bid bye to Neha and was going to disconnect the call when he heard Neha whispering something slowly clearly not wanting him to hear but he heard and his heart flipped hearing that.

Neha said in a slow whisper "miss you" thinking Namit didn't heard it. She couldn't believe herself. Since Namit left, he is always in her thoughts and today her hands automatically painted him. What was she thinking? But after talking with her mother, she knew one thing that his presence and absence in her life affected her more than she thought and since he being a reserved person won't express his feeling so she need to take the first step.

Contratory to what Neha thought, Namit heard her. He replied through a message.

Namit : Miss you too. Next time make sure you tell that to me while we speak rather than whispering. Good night

Neha was getting ready to sleep when her phone pinged. She read Namit's message and was surprised by his message. She thought she said it slowly so he can't hear but seems she was wrong. She grinned widely reading it and slept with a happy smile on her face.

Next day Megha was given a list of do's and don't by their mother when Neha joined them : Good morning everyone. What lecture you are giving to Didi mama?

Muskaan : Hey I am not lecturing her. Just telling her what to do and what not regarding her pregnancy. Whenever I advise you two anything, you make me think like I am Hitler or someone like that!!!

Neha, Akash and Megha burst out laughing hearing their mother complaining when Neha's phone rang. She cheerfully picked up the call : Hey Namit!!

Namit : Miss you too!!

Neha : Huhhhhh?????? I mean.... What....you??

Namit chuckled : Reply to your whispering "miss you" wifey. Thought to say it in person.

Neha blushed hearing his reply whereas the other three present there had wide smiles on their faces seeing her. Megha thought to tease her so she cleared her throat which brought Neha from her blushing world.

Megha : Neha who is calling you?

Namit : Is that Megha?

Neha hummed in response.

Namit : Give the phone to her.

Neha quickly gave phone to Megha.

Namit : Hey ladybug how are you?

Megha huffed : Dare you call me that and see what I do.

Namit teasingly : Ohh pray tell me what will you do sitting there?

Megha thought for a while and grinned wickedly : Well how about keeping your wife with me forever?

Namit : Ladybug keep my wife out of this.

Megha : FYI your wife is my sister first so I have every right to bring her in between.

Namit : I wonder how Akash handle you??

Megha : My husband is very patient man you see.... She looked at Akash smiling sweetly to which he winked at her.

Namit : Jokes apart, how are you Megha? Congratulations for the baby!!

Megha : Thanks bro. When is my baby's uncle coming back? You know baby's aunty is eagerly waiting for him.

Listening to her, Neha gave her a horrified expression whereas Akash and her mother just shook their head smiling.

Namit knew she was teasing him but still he felt good hearing that Neha is waiting for him. He decided to play along.

Namit : Then tell baby's aunty that baby's uncle will be back soon.

Megha : Alright I will convey your message. Hey Akash is waiting to talk to you. I will pass the call to him. Take care bro

Namit : You too take extra care. Eat well and do rest properly alright?

Megha sighed : Yes sir. Anything else?

Namit chuckled hearing him. He could almost imagine her annoying face like she used to make in their college days. He and Akash used to tease her a lot whenever she do that.

Akash : Hey buddy how are you?

Namit : Good. What about you soon to be papa?

Akash grinned : All well. What more could I ask when you live in the company of three beauties.

Hearing him all three ladies roll their eyes at him.

Namit : Well I can't deny that. Lucky you. By the way congratulations. I am so happy for you and Megha and this calls for a celebration.

Akash : Thank you. Definitely we will celebrate but for that when are you coming back?

Namit sighed hearing his question. He also wanted to go back soon but was still tied up in his piles of work.

Namit : I don't know about that. There is still lot of prior appointments pending and the new appointed doctor had not yet joined.

Akash : I know it becomes hectic at times being a surgeon. I can say from my own experience. Well don't worry just finish up fast and come soon. We all are waiting for you.

Namit hummed and then the phone was passed to Muskaan.

Namit : Namaste mama how is your health?

Muskaan : I am doing fine beta. Are you taking care of yourself or just engrossed in your work? You know you have someone now back here.

Namit : Yes I know and I am taking care of myself. So how it feels being a grandma for the first time?

Muskaan : Out of the world. Can't describe the feelings in words. Come back soon Namit. We all are missing you.

Namit : I will mama.

Muskaan bid her bye and handed the phone back to Neha. Till then Neha already had her breakfast so she can talk to her husband peacefully. She stood up and went to her room for some privacy.

Neha teasingly : So now you got time to talk to your wife?

Namit was happy seeing her returning back slowly to her older self. He wanted that cheerful and fun loving Neha back not the one which she had become after his brother's death and seeing her becoming like her old self again brought a sense of pride within him because somewhere he knew he was the reason behind this.

Namit : What to do? Your family was not leaving me....

Neha laughed loudly hearing this. Namit was silently appreciating it and then he said : Always keep laughing like this Neha. I want nothing more than seeing you happy.

Neha : Thank you Namit.

Namit : For what?

Neha : You very well know the reason. For pulling me out of my past and for coming in my life as my life partner.

Namit : Neha you don't.....

Neha interrupted him : No Namit I know it was a bigger sacrifice on your part and I really appreciate it.

Namit sighed : Neha listen to me carefully. I have sacrificed nothing by marrying you ok! You are one of the most understanding, caring and beautiful person I have known and I consider myself lucky to have you as my wife. So don't ever feel guilty for marrying me. If anything prove me to be the best wife you can for me.

He said last part in a light manner to cheer her up but she took it seriously. He was right she thought. What's done is done. Rather than feeling guilty, she needs to prove him and to everyone else that she is best for Namit.

Neha : When will you be back? Maa and papa are missing you.

She wanted to add her name also in that list but felt hesitant.

Namit : Just them or you also?

Neha was shocked to hear his reply. She wondered why everyone thought that Namit was not expressive much. With her he was never less expressive, not as brother in law earlier not definitely as husband now. She decided to leave her hesitance behind if she need to be a perfect wife for him.

Neha took a deep breath and said : Me too. I miss you. Please come back soon.

Namit was silent for few seconds hearing her confession and then smiled widely. It was first time Neha was opening up with him.

Namit : I will try to be back soon. When are you going back to our home?

Neha : Day after tomorrow when maa and papa come back from Pune.

Namit : Alright I had a talk with them. Papa was telling to come back in afternoon.

Neha : I know maa called and informed me.

Namit : Neha I am really tired. Can I sleep now? Have an early morning work tomorrow also.

Neha wanted to talk more but she can't be selfish right! He needs rest.

Neha : No problem. You sleep. We will talk later. Good night.

Namit : I will call back later. Bye take care and have a nice day.
