Everybody was at the less formal dining table. The king usually prefer the more formal table for special guest but he felt the table was too long. The less formal table in one of the dining room was currently full with seven seats.

King Jungkook was on the head of one side, with Jimin on his right, next to him is RM;Princess Jennie was on his left side.

Queen Lalisa was sitting on the head of the table across from King Jungkook. Rose was on her right and Jisoo on her left.

The guards were by the table, it's customary for the guards to start to eat when they are done. But King Jungkook offered for the Lamia's guard to eat but Jin insisted to wait.

The two princess was sitting next to each other talking, while Jisoo was talking to RM and Jimin. Everyone was enjoying each other company except the king and Queen.

They were silently eating, watching everyone talking. Every once in awhile there eyes would meet but only for a second. Nobody really noticed the silence of the king and Queen till the mid of their main course.

Jimin and Rose eyes would meet about every five to seven minutes but they didn't look away. They silently challenge each other on who would look away first. Rose was always the first to look away.

At the mid of their main course, Jimin was looking over Rose hoping to catch her eyes again but he didn't see them. Her eyes held confusion as she was looking over at the Queen.

The Queen was eating with her eyes cast down. She would take a sip of water, giving Rose a small smile. And from what Jimin has seen from Queen Lalisa, her smile are truly genuine but this smile during dinner was force.

Jimin didn't like the Queen wasn't enjoying herself, so he look over his king so he can notice but the king was doing the same.

But instead of a force smile, he wasn't smiling at all. He had this dark aura around him. He just watch everyone talking. Jimin was going to ask the king what the issue was but he saw his eyes cast forward and saw the Queen eyes were watching him too.

Neither said a word before anything could happen they look away from each other. Jimin didn't know what to take from this, so he decided to ask the Queen a question.

"Queen Lalisa, what do you on your spare time?" Everyone became silent after the question.

Queen Lalisa eyes widen a bit but she compose herself. "I like to take pictures." She answers.

"Yes the photos." Jimin said as he was remembering the photos she took of the people in her cities.

"Photos?" King Jungkook questions.

"Yes, Lisa take photos of the people in the cities. She really good at capturing moments." Princess Rose answers.

King Jungkook was surprise to hear that she take pictures of her people. He was curious of this queen because, in the short time he was able to observe,she wasn't what he expected.

He was nervous and scare that they would attack if something was in their favor. But from what he has seen, the Lamia are not scary at all. He even questioned if she really was a queen.

"I saw your painting. They are amazing." The Queen's voice capture his attention.

It took a second to realize she was talking to him now.

"Thank you." King Jungkook nod his head in appreciation.

"How long have you been painting?" She ask again.

He hesitates to answer but her eyes were focus on his. This was the longest they held eye contact. He didn't want to scare her or make her mad, so he chose to interact with her.

"Since I was twelve." He answers.

"And you are twenty six now, correct?" The Queen ask.

He raise an eyebrow at her question, "Yes."

"His birthday is coming up! Oh— " Jennie was excited talking about his birthday but froze at the realization of something. "Will you be able to stay for the Royal Ball?"

Prince Rose and Jisoo ear peak up at their mention of the Royal Ball. Rose looks at the Queen and then back to Princess Jennie.

"When is it?" Princess Rose ask Jennie.

"The Royal Ball is held as a party celebration for the King's birthday. And Jungkook's birthday is in two and half weeks." Jennie explains.

The kings eyes went to the Queen. He nervously watched her waiting for their answer if they would attend or not.

Queen Lalisa seemed interested till she heard the date of his birthday. A small pout form on her lips. King Jungkook smile seeing that small pout on her.

"Unfortunately we have to head back to the castle in two weeks." Queen Lalisa answers, her eyes voided the king.

And he noticed it.

Princess Rose pouts, "We really can't attend?"

Jisoo whispers something to the Queen, which gave princess Rose hope in her eyes. After Jisoo was done, Queen Lalisa nods her head.

"With the king's permission, you can stay for the ball." Queen Lalisa offers a solution.

All eyes were on the king. Jungkook was quite surprise that the queen would let the princess stay and she would be leaving. He didn't mind it, really. He is just surprise.

King Jungkook smiles at the Queen, "Of course."

Jimin looks over at the beautiful princess in happiness that she would be staying longer than they planned. As if she could feel his gaze she looks up and their eyes and smile capture one another.

The remaining of dinner was as the beginning, every one spoke, joke, and laugh with each other, all but the king and queen.

Everyone was done eating, and ready to part ways. King Jungkook wasn't satisfied with how dinner went and he wasn't quite sure if it was because the Queen didn't seem happy. But he wanted to make a better impression.

"Queen Lalisa, would you care for a drink?" All eyes were on the Queen after the king's question.

"Umm, it's kind of late." She answers.

The king looks at his watch that  was on his wrist. He saw the time and looks at he Queen with confuse expression, "It's 8:30."

The blush on light skin caught the king's attention and he was please he was able to get a small reaction from her.

"Well, I don't drink after a certain time."

"Then how about we just walk and talk." The king suggests.

The Queen was looking at her advisor and her cousin for approval. After a moment, he noticed Rose smirking at the whole ordeal. The king furrow his brows at Rose but all she did was continue smirking.

"She will love to." Rose said. Queen Lalisa looks over the princess glaring at her. Prince Rose clearly didn't care, she shrugs her shoulder, "Yes, for your kind hospitality and letting me stay longer than we initially planned."

King Jungkook bit his bottom lip from laughing when the queen rolls her eyes. She fake a smile as she looks at the king.

"Apparently I would love to." You can sense the sarcasm in her voice.

The king gesture for her to walk forward, but she stood and looks at her guard. She frown a little. "Jin, you haven't ate. Maybe I shouldn't go."

"I can eat later your highness." Jin offers.

"Oh for the love Pete sake. Jin, eat." Princess Rose demands. Everyone including the Sphinx were surprise with the Princess. "I think you will be fine." Princess Rose tell her cousin.

Queen Lalisa mouth widens, "I cant go without my guard." She mumbles.

"Yes you can and you will." Princess said. The queen opens her mouth but princess Rose gently pushes her towards the king.

Queen Lalisa lost balance when the princess shoved her, but the king immediately reach out and was able to catch her.

His arms were around her waist and her hands were on his shoulders. The two stared in each other eyes with wide eyes.

"Are you okay?" The king ask in bare whisper. The Queen didn't say anything, she simply nod her head.

King Jungkook helped her stand up straight. His hand subconsciously went to her and they held each other hand till she was on both feet.

The moment they realize they were skin to skin, they pull away.

"I'm sorry." She said only loud enough for him to hear.

"No it's okay, as long as you are okay." Jungkook replies back as the same hush tone.

"Uh hmm" The sound of RM clearing his throat caught the highnesses attention.

King Jungkook saw how embarrassed the queen got so he adverted their attention.

"Well we should get going." King Jungkook said.

The two leaving the group in silence.

RM didn't expect to really enjoy the Lamia's visit but he did. The fact the king is all of a sudden being pressure on conceiving an heir, he wonder was fate playing its cards by bringing the queen into their lives.

He didn't know if it was a good idea to let them be alone together so early but RM noticed the king took quite an interest in the queen. What kind of interest was the question.

While the remaining people in the living room, the Queen and King silently walk outside into the balcony overlooking the the palace pool.

The air was cold but the wind was blowing. The wind was around the Queen and her hair kept getting in her face.

"This is beautiful view." The Queen said out loud.

The king got out of his trance and looks where the Queen was looking. The sky was dark enough to see the stars.

"Thank you, do you have a view like this?" He ask.

The Queen looks around, she was looking out to the cities where the his people live.

"Not necessarily like this but similar. You have a lot of land." She states. "A lot of tall trees." She then turn to him. "At my window I can see how the people wake up, so their morning chores, how the kids are walking in group to school. And pass all that, there are mountains. It's not quite cold yet but when it does get cold, the mountain are white. It's beautiful."

The king listens to her words as she describes her home. She explain in details of why she believes the Lamia has a beautiful view. He was just talking about the scenery, she talked about her people.

"I see, it sounds amazing."

She smiles, "It is."

The silence of the night took over. You can hear the wind, owls and the some laughter with in the castle.

"Everyone seems to be getting along." The Queen said out loud.

"They are."

The Queen looks down in sadness. "Why did you want us to come here?"

The question took him off guard. She ask this question before but he wasn't ready to answer but the look in her eyes, they were begging for an answer.

"Honestly, I was curious. I have always been curious. The shipments was a door opening for us to me." King Jungkook explains.

"Why were you curious?"

The king tilt his head looking at the Queen, "Weren't you?"

Her mouth opens and the shut. She smiles when she didn't know the exact words to say. "I was, am." She turn back to the view looking over the pool. "I wanted to do something in the history of by Lamia, that other rulers didn't do. So with your invitation, it was my door opening."

The king smiles because deep down it was sort of the same. He wanted peace and more people. The Lamia and Sphinx has been separated for too long.

"I want peace." He said.

The queen turned in surprise. But by the way her smile widen like her eyes, he knew she wanted the same.

"Well King Jungkook, it seems like we are on the same page."

Her hand reach out for an handshake but the king had a different thought. He reach and grab his hand but he brought her hand to his lips and gave it a gentle kiss.

"Looking forward to it."

I hope you are enjoying this. I having a great time writing it. These are pretty long chapter in my eyes, and I have school and work. So my updates may be slow. I also have two other stories that I haven't finished. So I hope you all understand I'll do my best.

And idk if you are like this, but for fun. I like to look up outfits so I can picture the characters better. So for the outfit of the girls in this chapter is at the top. I'll do this as much as I can because it helps me and it's fun.
