For the past two centuries, the country has been split into two territories.
The house of Sphinx
The house of Lamia

The two households were wealthy families but were not satisfied.
They each wanted more.
The two homes fought for more land, money, power and people.
As the families war continues for more than five generations of families, their people had have enough between the two.
The Sphinx and Lamia put down their differences for their people, so everybody can live a happy life. The people needed trust that their leader care about their family well being more than the luxury or the people will go against the wealthy families.

So the two land live in peace for sixty years now.

There were rules for this peace to stay intact.
1)You choose a side and you stay on that side. Any trespassers will be dead or torture.
2) You will not betray your own kind.
3) You do not associate with the other kinds.
4)If you know any kind of suspicion activities that the other people will make, you report it.

So far, the land had keep it peace and the people stay true to their people.

Author's note

I am not starting a new story just yet. Sometimes as writers we need to take a minor break so we can get more inspiration. And this was a story I was working on a side to think of new things for my two current story. Just wanted to let you know I haven't forgot of my stories, I just needed a break from the two so can get inspired. I hope you understand. I may write in between.

Another thing about this is this story takes place in our time, just have a few traditions of the old ways if that makes sense.

Hope you enjoy it. It's very different from my other stories.
