Third Person P.O.V.

(Y/n) had heard only whispers of what happened in the town of Qishan. Her daily routine consisted of waking up at dawn to gather something from the city, before returning to Lord Jamil before the streets became loud and lively. She would spend the rest of the day performing tasks around Jamil's palace.

So, she was genuinely surprised when he had asked her to accompany another salve, Morgiana, out of the palace.

"Hello." The (E/c) eyed girl tried to be as polite as possible, despite her position and situation. The red haired girl only nodded in her direction.

The rest of the walk was quiet. The merchant that Jamil bought from handed the girls what their master had ordered, and sent them back on their way.

'Lemons and berries, huh?' (Y/n) thought as she adjusted the basket of berries in her arms.

"Uph." The girl grunted in surprise. She looked up to see who she had walked into.

"Oh. I'm sorry miss." The blue haired boy apologized. He looked around fourteen, with blue eyes, and a golden flute hanging around his neck.

The girl didn't say anything. She was a slave, after all, and talking to them would earn her a beating from Jamil.

Morgiana waited silently behind the (E/c) eyed girl as she picked up the fallen berries.

Standing up, the girl readjusted the basket on her hip.

"Oh, we're sorry. Are you hurt? Can we give you a hand?" A blond haired boy appeared behind the blue haired one.

Morgiana stepped in front of the girl.

"No thanks," she replied coldly. She walked past the two men, and (Y/n) hesitantly followed.

'Why does the blond haired boy look so familiar?'

"What is it?" I heard from behind me. I looked back at the two boys.

"I don't know, but look." The blue haired one pointed down at Morgiana's feet. Her chains.

The older boy gasped as Morgiana turned around.

First Person P.O.V:

I looked down self consciously as Morgiana bent down and tried to cover her chains with her dress.

I averted my eyes from Morgiana for a moment to look back at the two boys we had just run into.

"Look mister, that girl has chains, too."

A large thump caught my attention, and my eyes snapped back to the red haired girl who shared a master with me. The entire contents of her basket had spilled on the floor.

I could vaguely hear the blond explaining what we were, but my attention was focused helping Morginana. I grabbed some of the fruit from the floor and placed it in the basket.

"Thank you," she whispered. I smiled faintly. If we had been in a different situation, I would have thought what had happened cute.

Just as I threw the last pieces of fruit into Morgiana's basket, the blue haired boy ran forward. He stood in front of the red haired girl, grasped his flute, and played a note.

Clink

My broken chains fell to the floor.

Me and Morgiana gasped.

"There. No more chains! Now you can walk around without hiding your pretty legs!"

No more chains.
