** Mother's Day **

"Hey, Tim?" Adam calls as he comes down the stairs with Patches hopping down the stairs behind him.

"Yeah?" Tim answers as he hangs up from talking to his mom in Texas.

"Is today Mudder's Day?" Adam asks, sitting down on the couch next to Tim. Patches sit down on the other side.

"Yeah, Pumpkin, it is." Tim answers.

"Shouldn't I get Jenika somepin?" Adam asks. "And ... And Patches get Ms. Kit somepin?" (something)

"Mmm Kit mu." Patches nods. (mother)

"Uh, well." Tim shrugs. "You can I guess. But, sweetie, you know Jenika is not your mother."

"Thee kinda ith." Adam says with a shrug. (she kinda is)

"Yeah, I guess she is." Tim replies. "So what do you boys want to do?'

"Can me and Patches make dem cawds and .. and get dem some fowers?" Adam asks. (them cards, flowers)

"Mmm Kit fowl." Patches giggles and claps. (flowers)

"What if I can get Kevin to watch Emily and I'll carry you boys to a flower shop to get flowers and then we'll come home and I'll help you make cards?" Tim smiles as he puts an arm around each boy.

"CAN WE!?" Adam yells with excitement.

Patches squeals and claps.

Even though Tim and Jenika didn't have children, he still wanted her to feel special on Mother's Day. He also knew that Patch would have wanted to do something special for Kirstie. So Tim bought both of them a day at the spa. They were both being pampered and enjoying every minute of it.

Tim had agreed to watch the boys and Emily. He reaches down and picks Emily up from the floor where she had been playing and started toward the patio where Kevin and Tori were lounging by the pool. The boys giggle and skip behind him.

"Hey, Kevin? You wouldn't want to do me a big favor would you?" Tim asks.

"It depends." Kevin chuckles.

"The boys are wanting to go get Jenika and Kirstie flowers for Mother's Day and I'm afraid watching all three in a store will be too much. So I was wondering if you and Tori could watch Emily. Pleaseeee." Tim says giving his best sad puppy dog eyes.

"PEEZZZZ!!" Patches and Adam both say in unison.

"I see you brought back-up." Kevin laughs loudly.

"My 'please' ain't as cute as their's." Tim smiles.

"Gee, I don't know." Kevin smirks as he eyes the little Patch duplicate in Tim's arms.

"Oh, of course, we will." Tori says, slapping Kevin on the arm. She hops up from her chair, taking Emily from Tim.

"Great. Thanks." Tim says then turns to the boys. "Let's go, boys."

"Wow." Tim says as they walk into the flower shop. He thought this would be easy. But he was wrong. There were flowers of every shape, size and color. He had sent his mom a beautiful bouquet of flowers. But the boys were having difficulty deciding.

Patches seemed as though he was looking for something special but couldn't find it.

Adam finally decided on some beautiful pink roses. But Patches was still looking.

"Sweetie, what kind of flowers are you looking for?" Tim asks.

"Mmm pi .. ping fowl. Ping." He nods.

Tim looks at Adam hoping that he understood what Patches was saying.

"Ping fowl, Ti." Patches says.

"Ping?" Tim repeats and Adam shrugs as if he didn't know. "Ping. Wait. Do you mean Spring flowers?"

"Ping fowl." Patches smiles and nods.

Tim goes to the counter and asks the lady about spring flowers. She leads them to another section of the store. 

Patches giggles as he found what he had been looking for. A beautiful flower pot of red tulips.

"Ping fowl." He smiles as he smells of them.

Tim also purchases two dozen red roses. A dozen for his wife and a dozen for Kirstie from Patch.

Once they get home, Tim hides the flowers then takes the boys upstairs (using the elevator) to start on their Mother's Day cards.

(They make cards similar to these. Only instead of 'Mommy' on Patches's card, it says 'Kit'. And Tim helps Adam with the writing on his picture.)

The boys ran downstairs after finishing their drawings, excited for Jenika and Kirstie to see what they had done.

"When dey coming home?" Adam asks as he and Patches sit anxiously on the couch. Holding their cards in their hands. They would get the flowers after they give the girls the cards. (they)

"They're on their way." Tim smiles as he ends the call with his wife.

"YAYYY!!" The boys shout.

Ten minutes later the door opens and the two beautiful ladies walk in with smiles on their faces.

"Yall come in and have a seat." Tim says after kissing his wife. "The boys have a surprise for you."

"Really? This is exciting." Kirstie giggles as she and Jenika follow Tim into the living room.

Kevin and Tori sat on the love seat together. Kevin holding a sleeping Emily.

The girls sit down on the couch and smiles at Adam and Patches, who were hiding something behind their backs. Both boys were wearing huge grins on their faces.

"Okay, boys. Showtime." Tim says as he sits down in the recliner.

"Happy Mudder's Day, Jenika." Adam smiles as he brings the drawing from behind his back.

"Mmm Ha Mu Da, K.. Kit." Patches giggles as he hands Kirstie his drawing.

"Oh. My. God." Jenika whispers, placing a hand over her mouth.

"Oh, Sweetie." Kirstie says softly as tears fill her eyes.

"Tim helped us." Adam smiles and Patches nods.

"They're beautiful." Kirstie smiles.

"Yes, they are. Thank you so much." Jenika says as she wipes a tear and hugs Adam.

"We love them." Kirstie nods as she hugs Patches. "Thank you, Baby." She whisper.

"We got anutter supwise for you." Adam says. "Come on, Patches." (another surprise)

They turn and run upstairs.

The girls could only stare at the drawing with huge grins on their faces and happy tears rolling down their cheeks.

"SUPWISE!" Adam yells as he and Patches come back into the room carrying the flowers that they had picked out.

"Oh, my God!" Both girls say as they see the beautiful flowers.

"They picked them out themselves." Tim says as he gets up from the recliner.

"I love tulips." Kirstie smiles through her tears.

"These are so beautiful." Jenika says as she smells of the roses.

"I also have a surprise." Tim says as he walks back into the room carrying two boxes. "Jenika, I know we can't have children of our own. But I love you so much for stepping up and being a mother to Adam. These are for you." He hands her one of the boxes.

"Kirstie, I know that Patch would have wanted to give you something for Mother's Day. You're an awesome mom to his daughter and not to mention taking Patches and treating him like your own son. So these are for you." Tim smiles as he hands her the other box. "Let's just say they're from Patch."

"Oh, my God." Kirstie whispers as she opens the box and sees a dozen long-stemmed red roses.

"Awww, Baby." Jenika says as she grabs her husband into a hug. "They're beautiful."

"Thank you so much." Kirstie says softly, hugging her friend. "I'll thank Patch personally when he comes." She whispers with a giggle.
