Kirstie and Patch had taken a very hot and steamy shower together. (and no I'm not referring to the water temperature)

She quickly gets dressed while he was still trying to decide on what to wear.

"Sweetie, I'm sure Jenika or Kevin are up fixing breakfast so I'm going to see if they need help." She says as she watches him trying to decide on shirts. She giggles walking up behind him slipping her arms around his waist and kissing him on his shoulder. "Wear shorts and a tee shirt. It's going to be hot and we're going to the zoo and aquarium." She whispers and kisses him on the ear.

 He nods and goes to hang the plaid shirt back into the closet.

"I'm going down stairs." She tells him as he starts to get dressed.

She walks into the kitchen but stops at the sight in front of her.

Jenika was sitting on the counter with her long legs wrapped around Tim. Her arms around his neck. Tim, dressed only in jeans and tennis shoes, had both of his hands underneath the back of her tank top. Their hair was damp from an apparent shared shower. They were kissing passionately.

Kirstie smiles and clears her throat causing them to quickly break the kiss.

"Sorry." Tim says backing away from their embrace. "We didn't think anyone was up yet." 

"Apparently." Kirstie giggles. "Patch is getting dressed so I thought I'd come down to help with breakfast."

"Oh No. That's Okay." Jenika says, hopping down from the counter. "We got this. You can tend to Emmy if you need to."

"Yea, I do need to go feed her and get her a bag packed for today. Do you need me to peek in at Adam to see if he's awake?" Kirstie says turning around to head out of the kitchen.

"Please, if you don't mind." Tim says.

Kirstie peeks into Adam's room to see the bed empty. She takes a step inside the room and sees Adam standing at the window staring out at the beach. Still dressed in his Batman onesie and holding his blanket in his hand. His long hair hanging in his face.

"Good morning, Sweetie." Kirstie says as she walks into the room.

"Hi, Mmm Miss Kit." He smiles. "W..w..where's Tim?"

"Him and Jenika are down stairs starting breakfast."

"We still going to da zoo?" He ask.

"Mhmmm, you excited?" She smiles as she reaches up brushing his hair out of his face.

"Yea, but I don't.. I don't know what...what Tim wants me to wear." Adam says shrugging his shoulders.

"Well, don't you want to wait until after you eat before you get dressed?" Kirstie ask, knowing that Patches is pretty messy eating.

"Yea, cause... cause sometimes I get pwetty (pretty) methy (messy)." He nods.

"Alright you can go on downstairs where Tim is. I have to tend to Emily." She smiles, kissing him on the cheek.

"Alwight. Is...is Patches hwer (here)?" He ask laying his blanket back on the bed.

"No honey, he's not. It's still Patch for right now." She pouts, rubbing his cheek.

"Dat's alwight. He'll....he'll be back. Den we can play." Adam nods.

She smiles sadly at him. It's heartbreaking that someone with such a young mental age has to try to understand personality changes.

"Yes, Baby. He'll be back and then we get to go back to the zoo again." She smiles poking him in the belly with her finger.

He giggles and nods.

After breakfast, they get the 'kids' dressed and pack up a few things that they may need before heading out to the van.

They arrive at the zoo. Tim has one arm around Jenika and the other holding Adam's hand, cause he knows that Adam would wonder off.

Kirstie pushes Emily in a stroller with Patch walking next to her with Kevin on the other side of him. Kevin was pointing things out to Patch, telling him a few things about each animal that they were looking at.

She smiles at the excitement in his eyes. Almost childlike, seeing things for the first time. Things that he never knew to exist.

They stop to look at the Bengal tigers. Patch looks nervously around at the huge cats.

"Sweetie, look at that big one laying near that little water fall. He's a big one." Kirstie says as she points it out to Patch.

"Yea, he can eat you." Adam says with a nod looking at the huge tiger.

Patch gives Kirstie a frightened look. "Can they get out? Can they get us?"

"No sweetheart. They can't get out." She assures him.

"O..Only if day (they) leeb (leave) da gate open." Adam says. "And den day can get out."

Tim chuckles slightly. Slowly putting his arm around Adam's shoulder and laying his hand gently over Adam's mouth.

"Shhh, you don't need to be saying things like that." Tim whispers next to his ear. "You're gonna scare Patch. He's never seen anything like this before."

"I..I..I sowy (sorry) Mr. Patch. I..I didn't mean to scawe (scare) you." Adam says shaking his head. "Day don't leeb da gates open verwy much."

"Angel, you're not helping." Tim tells him after seeing the fear in Patch's eyes.

"Tim, wememba (remember) we hud (heard) on da news..." Adam was interrupted by Jenika.

"Hey Sweetie." She says with a nervous giggle, reaching for Adam's hand. "I'm thirsty, how about we go find some lemonade."

"Oooo, I wub lemonade." Adam grins taking Jenika's hand.

She begins to lead him away, looking over her shoulder at Kirstie and mouthing 'Sorry'.

"He, uh, sometimes don't know when to hush." Tim says in an apologetic way.

They follow Jenika and Adam over to a refreshment area and sat down in the shade.

"You having fun?" Kirstie says sipping on her lemonade.

"All of this is just so unbelievable." Patch smiles. "Those screaming monkeys were very loud. I liked those, what were those birds called that look like they had suits on?"

"Those were penguins." Kirstie smiles at his description.

"Can we ....Can we go see da cannibals and da elpants?" Adam ask.

"The what?" Kevin chuckles. "Cannibals?"

"What's a cannibal?" Patch ask looking at the others with a confused look.

Tim laughs and shakes his head. "I think he means camels and elephants."

"Yea dem (them)." Adam nods. "In some countwies (countries) day wide dem. (ride them) Day weally big, Mr. Patch."

"I think I've seen elephants on television. They have big ears and a long nose?" Patch ask.

"Yep, those are elephants." Tim answers. "If ya'll are ready, I wanna go see those cannibals and then we'll head for the aquarium before Jenika has a fit." He chuckles.

"T..Tim?" Adam says taking him by the face.

"Yes, sweetie pie?" Tim smiles.

"Day not cannibals."Adam shakes his head. "Day cambels."

After they see the camels and elephants they head inside the aquarium.

"Does all these things live in that ocean?" Patch ask as he looks at an aquarium full of jellyfish.

"Some of them might not live in this particular part of the ocean but they do live in it." Kirstie answered without trying to make it too complicated for him.

"Oh. My. God." Jenika says as they walk up to a huge aquarium full of different kinds of sharks. "Aww, Honey. I'm in heaven." She wraps her arms around Tim's waist. "I've waited all day for this moment."

"OHHH NOOO! TIM, SOMEBODY MASHED DAT ONE'S HEAD!!" Adam yelled pointing at a shark.

Kirstie, Patch, Kevin and Jenika all start to laugh uncontrollably while Tim tries to quieten Adam down.

"Shhhhh, don't yell, Sweetie. His head is suppose to be like that." Tim says trying not to laugh himself. "It's called a Hammer-Head Shark."
