Patches looked around. He was in the cave. How was he in the cave? Where he left off, too? 

What was going on? Why was everything different? Patches was initially confused yet continued to read.

The god of void was a sweet god, much like the god of time, however they still had their issues. After a few years, a new god was introduced; the god of life and death. The god of life and death had to take care of two jobs, yet he managed rather well.

The god of time did quite like the god of death, but after many years, the god of time noticed something new. The god of life and death and the god of time's mortal counterpart were getting closer, and closer, but eventually, the god of life and death had to do his job and took the god of time's mortal counterpart.

Wracked with anger and grief, the god of time tried to fight the god of life and death, yet alas, the god of life and death too, was rather upset. 

The god of life and death proposed a deal with the god of time. The god of life and death would bring back the god of time's mortal counterpart, but only on a few conditions. The god of time must relive the same points of time over, and over again, and the god of life and death must live a long life to experience the pain of losing and gaining new friends, family, and so on, over and over again.

The god of time was confused at first yet agreed. The god of life and death assigned them a point in time, and from there, the world temporarily delved into chaos.

Things fixed itself, though, and a new, temporary god stepped up. The dragon god. 

The dragon god was quite close to the goddess of space and the god of void, and the three agreed that the dragon god will be the only god to become known to mortals, out of fear that the goddess of space and the god of time will ruin something.

However, the dragon god himself messed up, and had a kit with a mortal. This kit made life far harsher for the god of time, and the god of life and death. Even life for the dragons was much harsher. Granted, all dragons were killed but not forever.

The dragon god made the dragon's blood transfer through cats that came into contact with it, and that would be how new dragons were made.

The demi-god kit was later killed in order to fix the dragon god's mistakes, and as luck would have it, the god of life and death himself fixed the situation.

As harsh as it was, it needed to be done...

Much of the writing became harder to read for Patches, yet he understood some of it. He knew history, thanks to his first or second life, and was able to piece together some of the puzzle.

He took a deep breath and ran towards Winter.
