Hello everybody and welcome to the second art contest introduced in this book! So that finally means we have hit 50 chapters aye ~ x)

I am very excited to introduce this idea as I was inspired off of pastelchromist's art contest and I wanted to do something similar but... different

Theme idea:
Choose any of these eggs to claim a theme to design a character off of it. However, there's a catch...

What is "the catch"?
Each egg will come with their own set of "rules" that you must follow. Breaking the rules will result in a deduction of points so please, follow them and ask questions if you dont understand .((

The catches will not dictate gender, sexuality, ethnicity or any of that so feel free to go nuts!

The eggs are awaiting a trusty artist to draw their hatched form ~!

There are a lot of these lil buggers; however, if you want to go with the same egg as someone else, feel free! There will only be 2 artist per egg tho. The catch will be the same tho so try to think abstractly!

JUST NOTE
Yes, you do get to keep these at the end of the challenge if that's what you wish. However, you can always say "no thanks" and give the design to me if this was just for fun and you have no use to them, that's fine too!
You only get to design one egg so make a wise choice 💛

JUST NOTE X2
You may add more colors to your characters if you think the egg is limited in its palate; however, you must use the colors from the egg so please incorporate them somewhere in your design!

Hopefully this helps narrow down what you wanna do and if it corners you even more... Do a number generator!

Rules

1 || NO WHINING IF YOU DON'T GET THE PLACE YOU WANT
No guilting or whining if you don't get the place you want. You guys are all talented and creative individuals so it is going to be really hard to judge you and your ideas. Just note that up creativeness will be primarily focused on and not skill.

If you belittle your art skills just because you didn't get first place, I will have a stern talking to you whether you're a close friend of mine or someone who stumbled upon this. This is just for fun.

If you have a question about your placing, take 24 hours to process your emotions to approach me; that way you have your emotions under control. Like I said before: this is going to be tough to judge

2 || NO TRACING
If I find out that you traced your entry, you will be disqualified and if you had top 3, your prizes and stuff will be revoked from you and given to the next one in line. It is not fair to trace when people put in a lot of time and effort into their entries.

Of course you can reference bases or references, just no tracing.

3 || ALL ART MUST BE YOURS
Dont steal art. If you steal someone's entry than you will be disqualified and blacklisted.

4 || THE DESIGN CANNOT BE AN ALREADY EXISTING CHARACTER
You can do whatever you want with the egg; however, they CANNOT already be an existing character. If you've drawn an oc with the theme before, DO NOT USE THAT. That's lazy and will result in you getting last place.

If you're struggling with clothing ideas and such, try making them into an animal! Your species doesn't matter as long as it follows the theme.

5 || FOLLOW THE THEME
Not following the theme results in lower points regardless of how good your art is.

Make sure to develop the catch into your design as well. I made the catches really fun (or tried) to make you think outside your comfort zone and get ya to do something maybe you've never done before!

If you're having a hard time figuring out what you want to do for the thing and the catch is inhibiting you, feel free to switch! HOWEVER, you only get 2 switches before the third egg becomes your permanent one. I don't want you sharing the catches with other people

6 || NO CYBERBULLYING
Instant blacklist, disqualification and black from me. Do not cyberbully. Be a nice individual and be a nice sport. This is all for fun

7 || WHERE DO I SUBMIT MY ART?
If you have discord, feel free to dm me it if you don't want people to get motivated or demotivated with your picture. However, not everyone has discord so tag me in your art book and the comments of it when you finish your entry.

8 || IS GORE ALLOWED?
Gore is allowed just don't overdo it! I don't wanna get flagged in this book so be aware that if there is too much blood or Gore, I may have to darken it to show it in this chapter but I will judge your original piece, gore and all!

9|| HOW MUCH SEXINESS IS TOO MUCH?
If you want to draw your character showing skin, feel free! I just ask that they aren't showing genitals and boobs (if they're feminine) I don't want this book to get flagged for inappropriate behaviors

10 || TRADITIONAL??
Traditional is allowed! This won't affect your place compared to those who did digital. Sometimes going crazy with lighting and stuff is just... Too much for me

11|| THIS IS JUST FOR FUN
Last time before we dwell into prizes and due date is that this is all for fun. There will be no ill intent behind any of my judging and your place won't be affected by your art skills.

This is all judged on creativity and how well you develop the theme into the character! Effort will also play a role into the judging period but hey! You all get first place in my book!
