*Kalpana Pov*

"Call her, Kalpana!" I averted my gaze away from her before adjusting Sudhir's shirt.

"I will call her, Jhanvi. But you all are getting late." I mumbled frowning.

"Until I know she will be here to take care for you, I will not leave this house." She said making me turn to stare at her.

"Why do I need her or anyone? You already helped me with all the things I need." I said literally whining making Sudhir chuckle at me.

"At least tell her you need her so that I will feel fine that she will be there when you need something. And your boss too is fine with her coming here to help you if you are worrying about her missing the work." She added and I immediately shut my mind at the way thoughts started the moment I heard his mention.

What shall I consider yesterday's events as? It's all seemed to be some roller coaster and I was just sitting there folding my arms or sleeping.

"Kalpana!" she called tapping my shoulder.

"Fine! I will call her." I said taking out my mobile and called her.

"Kalpana? Is everything okay?" she asked the moment she lifted the call.

"Why are you asking that?" I asked her frowning.

"Nothing! You never called me at morning when we can meet at office within an hour." She explained.

"Right! I got into a small accident yesterday like really small. I just... I mean Jhanvi wants me to let you know so that I can call you if I need something." I said and looked away when Jhanvi glared at me.

"Uhmm... is that it?" Pallavi asked and I frowned at her question.

"Of course! I just want to mention that I may call you if I need something." I replied.

"I will come near you now." She said and I immediately shook my head.

"No! There is no need for that. I will just go back to sleep. If you want, you can come in the evening." I added.

"But..." she started saying which I cut off saying I will call her later.

"That is so bad, Kalpana. I asked you to call her here and you just did something else." Jhanvi said.

"No! You said you want some assurance she will be here if I need anything. Now, I just gave you assurance that she will be here." I said frowning and she frowned back.

"You have gone mad. Seems like you got hurt to your head and not to your ankle." She said shaking her head and held Sudhir's arm to get him down from the bed.

"Maybe my brain is there." I said to which she laughed.

"That sentence itself shows your mind is wreck right now." She said shaking her head and walked away after I hugged Sudhir.

"Thanks for doing this." I shouted and she just waved off.

After a few minutes, the whole house consumed some deadly silence making me lean back on the bed sighing.

I am going to stay like this for two weeks? I thought groaning and covered my face hoping I can pass the time by sleeping like I told Pallavi.

However, seems like that is not going to be the case with yesterday's events swirling around my head. What actually happened yesterday?

I think most of the time I was just asleep. Otherwise why would I not remember how got inside?

The words came near to my mouth to ask him but they somehow stopped leaving my head with more confusion. And he cooked for god's sake. Which boss in the world does that for some employee?

Well seems like so much has happened to question such a small thing and why am I not stopping him from doing all these things?

Can't I just say 'you can't do this' when he does something? I will say that the moment he does anything.

Oh god! Why am I this confused? I was never this confused like ever and here I feel like I am walking in some bright place where I can't see anything.

All the thoughts left my head when I heard the door bell. Who is it? I thought frowning and slowly got down from the bed not putting any pressure on the injured leg.

I can do it! I chanted to myself and stood up before hopping towards my door before leaning on the door for some rest and then started again for the main door.

"Sir?" I asked staring at him after opening the door.

"Good morning, Kalpana!" he said, nodding and glanced down to see my leg in the air.

"Did you carried me yesterday, Sir?" I asked and he gave a shocked look mirroring mine.

"I thought some other question would be thrown at me like 'what are you doing here' but seems like I am wrong." He replied taking a step towards the door.

"I... I just wanted to ask." I mumbled shrugging trying to curse him for making me feel stupid everytime about myself.

"I think the answer to your question is obvious and the answer to your unasked question is, I saw Ms.Pallavi at her table. Which shows that there must be no one here." He replied.

"There is no need for anyone, Sir. If I need her, I will call her." I said moving a little feeling the pain for putting all the pressure on good one.

"We can go inside and discuss about it." He said glancing at my expression.

"No! Please Sir, I don't know what is happening and why you are behaving so weird I mean more weirdly but I think this is too much. One of your employees got hurt and is at home that's all. There was no need for you to stress everything yesterday and even today there is like absolutely no reason for you to be here. For god's sake I am feeling so stupid with everything that is going around me." I burst out whatever I felt and waited for him equal anger reaction but all he did was just stare at me.

He is just not weird! He is stupidly weird! I thought fuming and moved back to close the door but he shook his head.

"You were unconscious when I helped you yesterday, right?" he asked making me frown suddenly from the serious expression and I just gave a small nod.

"Let me make you experience it again." That's all he said and before I can understand his words, he is lifting me in his arms and walking inside.

"Sir!" I screamed but he just shook his head before walking towards my bed and laid me down.

"This is... this is..." I stuttered feeling so much anger or I don't know what was I feeling.

"All I can say is, all the weird things you said I did for you would not have been done by me if you are not the person they are needed for." He said and glanced to my right to see him still leaning over me with his arms around me and is between the mattress and my body.

"I... I... I don't think that is a right thing to do." I mumbled trying to control my breath which seemed to be in hyper mood.

"Who said that?" he asked and he removed his arms away before placing one hand on my cheek making the rapid breath go more rapid.

"And by the way you got hurt because of me. As per the rules of gentlemen, I can't walk away from my responsibility." He added smiling.

"It was an accident." I mumbled.

"I know! But maybe I don't want to end it there and lose my chance of caring for you?" he said and I just stared at him.

He chuckled before pressing his lips to my forehead and walked away in the next second out of the room and it felt like everything is just a dream.

Or maybe he is some vampire who can move so fast or I was so drowned into the affection of a kiss to my forehead which felt like I am drowning in some warmth.

"Now, aren't you bored?" I glanced up hearing his question and saw him with no coat now and holding some bag.

"I will just go back to sleep. You have to leave, Sir." I said in a weak tone than before.

"Is lunch already there? Or do I have to prepare is again?" he asked ignoring my words.

"Jhanvi prepared and placed it in refrigerator." That's all I replied.

"She must have been tired with all the work in the morning." He said sitting on the chair inside the room.

"She was!" I mumbled feeling the guilt emerge which started from yesterday evening.

"Maybe her work will reduce from tomorrow." He mumbled making me frown at him.

"What, Sir?" I asked turning towards him.

"I don't want any guilt on my part." He replied smirking and took out his laptop.

"I don't understand what are you doing here, Sir. We are not close friends too." I said groaning.

"Don't worry! We will soon be and two weeks is a long time. We can be anything we want." He said shrugging and immediately winced.

"That didn't came out right." He immediately added.

"Yeah!" I mumbled smiling to which he smiled back.

"You take rest." He said and I sighed leaning back properly.

"I feel bad for your parents. If Sudhir behaves like this, then I am gone." I mumbled and drifted off into sleep feeling the effect of the tablet which was supposed to start a half an hour back.
