What was I doing when I decided to bring these things to her? I mean, she hasn't spoken to me in three weeks yet here I am intruding her privacy. What if she doesn't want to see me? Or she begins to think I'm desperate? Worse, she may think I want to use her for something. From what I know about Alexis, she's been used by most of the people she came  to trust so she sees very nice gesture as a trap.
Look, whatever, I'm doing this for her as my friend, no big deal.

I'm already in front of her apartment. I've rang the doorbell twice.
Wait, oh shit. I should be the most idiot person on the planet. I didn't even call to tell her I'm coming. What if she's in school? I didn't even tell her I'm coming to Canada.

Just as I take out my phone to call her, the door opens and I come fact to face with the love of my life.
Wow, she looks more beautiful than the last time I saw her.

″Max? What are you doing here?″

″Uh, Amara said you forgot some things so I brought them to you″, I say.

″Oh. Thank you,″ then she quickly adds, ″I've been a terrible host. I didn't even invite you in.″

I didn't even realise we're still at the door. She opens it wider and I step in.
The place looks nice.

″Welcome to my apartment. My roommate isn't here. She's in school.″

″Ok.″

Then there's an awkward silence.

I finally  speak up. ″Anyway, here's your stuff ″, I say handing her the back Amara put them in.

″Thank you so much Max. I've looked everywhere for these. My diary is here too.″

It's fine. Next time, you'll listen to us and pack your things carefully. ″

She scoffs.

I stand up to leave. There's really nothing left to say.
″Well, I'll be leaving now.″

Alexis
I watch him walk to the door. I really need to do this but I don't have the guts.

″Max?″

″Yeah?″

″Would you like something to eat?″

Seriously? Right now, I'm not sure my mouth and I are one anymore.

″Nah I'm fine ″, he says.

I can't chicken out again.

″Ok. But can you sit down for a moment?″

″Ok. Alexis is something wrong?″

″No. Everything is just right.″ I think saying that gave me the courage I need.

″I want to talk about your proposal ″, I tell him. He looks worried.

″Uhmm, OK? Go on. ″

″Yes.″

″What?″

Is this dude deaf? After all the courage I had to must to say this he wants me to repeat myself?

″I said yes. Yes, I'll marry you.″

His face breaks into a grin and next thing I know, I'm in the air.

″Young man, put me down!″

As soon as my feet touch the ground, he envelopes me in a big hug.

″Thank you″, he says.

″Nah it's fine. I'm just so fabulous ″, I say with a cheesy smile.

″Of course you are. Now about that food proposal″, he says walking into my kitchen. Wait, how does he even know the way to the kitchen?

″What about it?″ I ask trying to keep up with his pace.

″Where's the food Alexi? I'm starved.″
