Writing this section of a book, is a pure joy. Even if you skip all the chapters and read only this note, I would be very happy.

Coming to Those Bonafide Teens, why is it that when you look back at any of your works from a couple of years ago or earlier, you always have to be like..what crap is this? And I thought this was good?

Something's definitely changed. Maybe it's my idea of what makes a good story. Maybe it's some of my perceptions. Maybe it's my whole mindset.

I no longer believe in many of the things I did when I started out writing. If I wrote Those Bonafide Teens now, it would be a completely different story.

But inspite of feeling amateurish as hell right now, I can't deny that it was an absolute enjoyment to write about teenagers and their chaotic lives for the last three years. Devouring the classroom lives, the adolescent emotions and the innocence of being young. It was pure bliss.

At the end of the day, I'm no genius. I don't have Riya's confidence (or her big mouth) or Zoya's talents or Mishti's brilliance. I'm mediocre to the last degree and all my stories so far, have only been inspired by what I've seen around me.

So thank you to the many people in my life, especially many of my school classmates who unknowingly inspired these stories and the incidents in it, in plenty of ways (though none of the characters in any of the stories is based on anybody).

I'm totally ready to embark on a more serious learning process and explore new genres. Will I write a teen fiction again? I don't know. But whether I write a hundred more stories or whether I just abandon writing altogether, I will always be grateful to Riya, Zoya and Mishti.
It was while making up these three in my head that I found so much about myself.

I'm also truly grateful to everyone who has given a chance to my books in the last three years (both Wattpaders and non Wattpaders - which includes family, friends and people I don't know). A million thanks for all your kind messages, constructive criticisms and more than anything else, your time.

Finally, thank you Allen Lau and Ivan Yuen for launching Wattpad. A whole generation of readers and writers have learnt to be shitty, get dirty and have fun up here.
