"Lloyd!"

The young servant ran through the hall, hearing the young princess call for him.

"LLOYD"

Lloyd panted as he reached the door of the princess's room.

"Yes, Your Highness," Lloyd stood up straight.

His Princess walked towards him and spun around.

"What do you think of this one?" She asks.

"Your dress?" Lloyd questions "Princess."

"Yes, this one or the one from yesterday?" The Princess asks.

"I think they both look beautiful on you," Lloyd smiles.

The princess sighs "Hanabusa, throw them both out."

"Yes ma'am," her guard sighs.

"I don't understand," Lloyd says confused "I think they're both pretty. Princess Aria, you look good in everything."

"Yes, that is true, but still not good enough," Aria sighs "If my servant since childhood still isn't amazed then neither am I."

"Yes, your Highness," Lloyd replies with a smile.

"Princess, your father has called for you." Another of her guards, Kaname, tells her.

"Already?!" Aria quickly ran out of the room.

Lloyd sighs before rushing after her. Aria opened the doors to the hall where her father stood, speaking to a general.

"Daddy!" Aria runs to him.

"There's my little princess," her father, Svern, picks her up and spins her around before placing her on the ground.

Lloyd stood off to the side as Layla entered the room with her servant, Mistake, behind her.

"Mom," Lloyd ran to his mother.

"Shh," Mistake puts a finger to her lips with a smile.

Lloyd nods and stood beside Mistake. Layla walks up to the two with a peculiar look on her face.

"I hope you weren't off pestering Ryo again," Layla comments.

"I wasn't," Svern tells her.

"Mama," Aria tugs on her mother's skirt "don't."

"I'm just saying," Layla replies as she bends down to Aria "how are you today my little star?"

"I couldn't find the dress I wanted to wear to see dad," Aria replies before turning to Svern.

"What do you mean dear?" Svern asks "You look beautiful in everything."

"I don't know," Aria looks down "I need new training outfits though."

"What happened to your old ones?" Layla questions.

"...I kinda.. burned them." Aria replies looking away from her mother.

"Oh dear," Layla says.

"She's a growing dragon," Svern looks at his wife "if we could get fireproof material from Ninjago then maybe-"

"No," Layla cuts him off without another thought "nobody is to pass the border, not even us. We can make as many clothes as we can for our daughter's basic training."

Svern looks annoyed as Layla stood up and covered her face with her fan, leaving only her eyes in view. The look in her eyes meant a clear no.

"That's ok," Aria smiles "I'm going to see how the white knights are doing!"

Aria ran off and Mistake pointed Lloyd out the door. Lloyd sighs before rushing after Aria.

"Honestly, you want a dragon to train without fireproof material in her human form." Svern turns to Layla "you know how dangerous that is?"

"It's better than her learning how to actually turn into a dragon," Layla replies as she turned to leave the room.

"Layla-"

"Svern we've had this conversation many times," Layla points her fan at Svern "I love you, but I will not allow harm to come to our daughter."

Layla leaves the room with Mistake as Svern looks away annoyed. Lloyd and Aria arrived at the training grounds where there were many teenage boys and few girls sparring with each other. One of the boys being Hanabusa, the servant from her room earlier.

Hanabusa was sparring with a brown-haired boy, whose eyes were glowing blood red. Hanabusa jumped over him and activated his eyes as well. Aria watched with excitement as Lloyd watched them in amazement and longing.

"Aren't they cool Lloyd?!" Aria asks turning to him.

"Yes, your highness." Lloyd responds.

"There's nobody else here." Aria pokes at his side.

Lloyd looked around before leaning back into the fence and running his hand through his hair.

"Finally," Lloyd grumbles. "Do you know how boring that is?!"

"Whine all you want; you'll still be a servant as long as you live." Aria teases.

"Whatever," Lloyd pokes her "not like you're any different princess."

Lloyd went back to watching the young knights spar as Aria stared at him. Hanabusa was knocked to the ground as the other boy stood over him with a wooden sword.

"You gotta get better then that if you wanna beat me," the boy says boredly.

"Shut up Kaname!" Hanabusa shouts "You cheated!"

"How so?" Kaname questions, putting the sword over his shoulders.

"I- I-"

"Come on now Hanabusa, her highness is watching." Kaname points over to the fence.

"Ah!" Hanabusa quickly got on his feet.

All the young knights stopped sparring to turn and look at Aria.

"Princess!" they all stood at attention.

"How's training going?" Aria asks them with a smile.

"Great, except Hanabusa keeps whining like a baby." Kaname points to his partner.

"I am not!" Hanabusa argues.

"I think even Lloyd could beat him at this point," Aria comments.

"I wouldn't say that princess," Lloyd mutters.

"He cannot!" Hanabusa shouts.

"I bet he can," Kaname laughs.

Hanabusa glares at Kaname before pointing his wooden sword at Lloyd "Come fight me, Lloyd!"

"Why am I being dragged into this?!" Lloyd complains. "I've never held a sword in my life."

"It could be fun," Aria smiles to him "you've watched them enough to know what they're capable of."

"More like I'll be good entertainment for you," Lloyd says with an annoyed look.

"Bingo," Aria giggles.

Lloyd sighs as he makes his way into the arena, Kaname hands him his wooden sword and goes to lean against the fence next to Aria. Hanabusa held his sword up proudly as Lloyd looked down at his.

"Alright Lloyd, I'll go easy on you." Hanabusa says "You gotta understand my prides on the line here."

"Yeah sure," Lloyd responds.

Hanabusa runs to strike Lloyd and he holds his sword up to block. Lloyd grunted, trying to hold back the strength of a vampire. Lloyd pushed Hanabusa back and defended from the side, noticing him going there.

"Huh?" Hanabusa looks confused.

Lloyd pushes away again and stood in defense as Hanabusa stares at him.

"Looks like you got some raw talent Lloyd," Hanabusa complements "but not enough to beat me!"

Hanabusa charges at Lloyd, Lloyd's eyes change to pink as he jumps over Hanabusa and pushes his sword to Hanabusa's back.

"Ah!" Hanabusa falls on his face.

The rest of the knight's cheer and clap as Lloyd's eyes turn back to green, he looks over at Aria who had a surprised look on her face along with Kaname.

"What... was that?" Lloyd looks up at the balcony to see Svern looking down at them with a smile on his face.

"Lloyd," Aria walks over to him "maybe you're more useful than I thought."

"Oh, jeez thanks princess," Lloyd stabs the wooden sword into the ground "I am your servant after all."

"You're right," Aria smiles "and all my servants are extraordinary. They're my people."
