"Are you sure about this?" Morro asks

Morro and his allies stood together in Stiix as the ninja had already begun their assault. Lloyd leaned against the desk with the palm of his hand sitting on his sword.

"No, but we do what we must." Aria responded.

Hanabusa opened the door and entered the hut "The water ninja has taken out a handful of the rebel ghosts. Kaname is preparing to summon the Preeminant."

"If he succeeds there will be no stopping at beast from sucking every remaining Deltorian into the cursed realm," Lloyd says "including us."

"We'll be sure that doesn't happen then," Aria walks out from behind the curtains to her team.

The ghost knights turn and face her at attention.

"While I may not remember all of you, I couldn't ask for better knights." Aria addresses them with a smile "For one last time, I ask that you follow me into battle."

"At your command, your highness." Hanabusa replies as he gets down on one knee.

The rest of the white knights following his lead. Morro smiles and bows with his black knights.

"Lloyd." Aria turns to him.

"You and me princess," Lloyd smiles as he walks over to her "as always."

The ghost knights battled against the rebel ghosts Kaname had summoned using the realm crystal. Aria and Reika made their way to his hideaway as Lloyd cleared a path for them. They soon reached the top of a floating temple where Kaname was with the realm crystal. They entered the room and Kaname turned to face them.

"I knew it would be you two," Kaname says. "Very admirable to be working together."

"Yeah yeah, hand over the crystal, this will only end badly for you." Reika glares at him.

"On the contrary," Kaname holds the crystal with one hand "the only way for you to ensure your realm doesn't end in ruins is to curse the princess and Lloyd's souls forever."

"And what about the descendants of Del? Just let their soul's be cursed too?" Reika questions.

"There are those who still await her highness's return. They lurk in the shadows of the night and stare up at the moon." Kaname replies "Hoping, praying, believing.. the only way to end this is to bring them all. For even if I were to trap them forever, they could be freed."

"People can change," Reika says "even if they don't believe it. I don't think they're truly evil."

"Think what you wish," Aria comments.

"Shut up," Reika glances at her "you're not helping my argument."

"The curse of Del is much greater then you all believe," Kaname tells them "you don't understand that the Deltorian's will suffer along with their rulers if we sit by and do nothing."

"Myths and legends," Aria yawns "you're boring me to death. The only thing the Deltorian's will suffer is my wrath for beheading me all those years ago."

"You speak of a past you don't even remember princess," Kaname says "that alone is why now is a perfect time. You have yet to awaken, and something has to be done before then. I'm sorry if this causes you grief a second time, but I will do what I must."

"Then, there's nothing else to talk about." Aria creates a purple energy ball.

"I guess not," Kaname sighs.

Aria sends a beam at him and he disappears from sight before appearing behind them. Reika jumps above him and tries to grab the realm crystal but he disappears again and appears in his original spot.

Below him a symbol glows and he looks down as hands grab him.

"Is this really the best you can do?" Kaname asks boredly.

Kaname's eyes glow red as he's able to free his foot and stomps the hand below it, making it disappear.

"Ah- maybe?" Reika replies.

"You truly are fools," Kaname says.

"Maybe, but at least we have character." Reika laughs.

"...why did I agree to come with you?" Aria sighs.

"Cause I did this," Reika holds up the realm crystal.

"What?" Aria raises her eyebrow.

"What?!" Kaname looks down.

"Yeah, I grabbed it before you teleported buddy." Reika snickers.

"And yet, you are too late." Kaname says.

"I'm what?" Reika questions before a tentacle of the Preeminent reaches in and restrains her.

"Damn it," Aria curses.

"Aria catch!" Reika shouts.

Reika throws the crystal to Aria before the Preeminent pulls her into the Cursed Realm. Ghost started flooding into the temple as Kaname began approaching Aria.

"I truly wished that I didn't have to do this again," Kaname says.

Aria held onto the realm crystal as the ghosts surrounded her.

"You can't kill me though," Aria states "you said specifically I had to be cursed into the cursed realm right?"

"That is correct." Kaname replies "It's the only way I know you will be unable to come back once again. Del will dissapear forever when this is all over. A fabled kingdom in ruins, with nobody to tell of its story."

"Why?" Aria asks as she shakes her head "I don't understand why?!"

"You asked me that question once you know," Kaname says as his eyes showed a bit of hurt "you have always come first your highness. Even now you don't understand, but I don't expect you to."

"That makes no sense," Aria says.

"I know," Kaname replies as his eyes glow red.

Reika awakens in the cursed realm and immediately ran away when she saw some ghosts.

"That stupid ghost, if I ever see him again i swear-"

"Reika?"

Reika looked up to see Garmadon bound in chains on either arm.

"Sensei!" Reika ran over to him.

"What are you doing here?" Garmadon asks confused.

"Forget that, I'm going to get you out." Reika replies as she tried to get rid of the chains.

"There's no use, these chains will not break" Garmadon tells her.

"No," Reika says sadly "they have to!"

"Reika, why are you here?" Garmadon asks again.

"Well.. there's this ghost that wants to drag Aria, your son, and all remaining descendants of the Del empire into the Cursed Realm." Reika replies "But last I remember was the Preeminent grabbing me."

"The Cursed Realm is the Preeminent, and the Preeminent is the Cursed Realm." Garmadon explains "If what you said is true, that means Kaname has truly returned to the mortal realm."

"You know about the ghost?" Reika asks.

"Yes, do you know that Kaname is the one who beheaded my son and Aria in the past?" Garmadon questions.

"Yeah, it's so fucked up." Reika answers "They're just kids you know, they can change I know they can. They were never taught any better and if we just-"

"Reika," Garmadon stops her ranting "I understand. In the past, the Overlord and I had the same goal, to save the future meant for our children."

"I learned some things while being under Morro's possession," Reika tells him "they had a lot of people who cared about them and wanted to protect them. The world calls Aria a tyrant, and Lloyd a demon for following her."

"Understand that Kaname is no different then the Overlord or I." Garmadon says "May his methods be harsh, the goal is still the same. To save them one way or another."

"Why?" Reika asks "Is the future that awaits them so terrible? Why does everyone know what it is?"

"Because history is doomed to repeat itself." Garmadon sighs "I only wish they would see that."

"They're going to die again, aren't they?" Reika questions with a sad look.

"They will," Garmadon confirms "the prophecy states that once the tyrant and her lover return all those who bare the mark of Del will once again resume their roles before the kingdom disappears forever."

"Not only will Lloyd and Aria die, all the people who fought so hard to be freed will also." Reika says "You weren't just trying to save them then, you were trying to save everyone?"

"Yes, Reika." Garmadon looks up at her "Please, I ask for you to save them, not only this time but in the future. Lloyd may be the reincarnation of some evil servant, but he is still my son. I do not want them to suffer the tragic fait they once faced."

"I know Sensei," Reika smiles as a tear went down her face, she hugged Garmadon and he wrapped his arms around her "I promise that no matter what. I will save them!"

In Stiix, the Ninja and the ghost knights continue their desperate battle against the Preeminent and Kaname's army of ghosts.

"Where's Aria?!" Lloyd shouts as he battles Kaname.

"Awaiting her future, as you will be soon!" Kaname responds as he pushes Lloyd back.

Wu and Misako arrive, telling the ninja that their only hope now is to flee the city with its citizens. The Ninja flee the scene, heading to the docks where Ronin slashes apart the Preeminent's tentacles to allow citizens to get on the ship.

Meanwhile, Aria woke up in the ruins of the temple she was fighting Kaname in. The Preeminent's tentacles were trying to penetrate a barrier that was formed around her. Aria put her hands around her locket that was glowing gold.

"Thanks mom," Aria mutters.

Aria stood up and made her way outside, avoiding the tentacles trying to grab her. Outside, Kaname was overwhelming Lloyd, using the sword of Sanctuary he obtained after defeating Morro. Kaname finally managed to land a blow against Lloyd, sending him to the ground.

"The once proud servant of the princess," Kaname says as he kicks Lloyd's sword away and stepped on his hand "now reduced to this."

"What would you know about being proud?!" Lloyd shouts in pain "You betrayed us in the past, and you still betray us to this day!"

"When you love someone, you must learn to let them go Lloyd." Kaname says "The pain you would've suffered at the hands of the one you love, would've been much greater then this."

"What do you mean.." Lloyd mutters as his eyesight started burring.

"The wound isn't that great," Kaname tells him "close your eyes Lloyd. The pain will subside and the Preeminent will take you. You will never have to face the great pain of heartbreak."

Kaname turned away as Reika appeared and flipped over him, grabbing the Sword of Sanctuary from his hands.

"You," Kaname's eyes narrowed as he turned to face her.

"Reika!" the ninja called out happily.

"Miss me," Reika smirks "I'm afraid the story of the Servant of Evil won't end here."

"Where have you been?" Ronin questions.

"Hey Ronin, get to the ship to protect the people," Reika tells him as the turns to the group "Ninja, sever the stilts, we need to drop the Preeminent into the sea."

"We're on it!" Cole agrees

"What about you?" Zane asks.

"I'll handle the wannabe knight," Reika replies "anyone know where the hot woman went?"

"We haven't seen Aria," Kai replies ignoring what she called her.

"Make sure she wasn't cursed before the Preeminent is destroyed." Reika says before facing Kaname who had kicked up a new sword.

The two began fighting as the ninja ran off to complete the task at hand.

"Where are Morro and the others?" Kai calls out to the ninja.

"Ah-" Morro appeared from out of the Preeminent.

"Are you guys getting your ass kicked?!" Cole questions.

"Yeah a little!" Morro responds "There's more rebels here then knights!"

"We're working on dropping the Preeminent into the sea," Zane tells him "Where is Aria?"

"We've been trying to find her, she's not in the cursed realm." Morro says "Lucky for us ghosts, as many times as they kill us we come back."

"Well try to stay away from the Preeminent." Cole says. "Find Aria while we take care of the ghosts."

"A little-" Morro stopped talking when he defended against a ghost "hard!"

"The rebels are more hostile towards them," Zane tells the ninja "they did after all kill each other in the catastrophe of Del."

"Right," Kai sighs "let's go ninja."

The Ninja sever many of the stilts, which causes the Preeminent to begin falling towards the sea. Kaname orders his army to protect the Preeminent, before he and Reika are thrust into a battle that jumps from realm to realm.

Kaname's army of rebel ghosts attach temples and buildings to the Preeminent's body to create a massive "suit" for it that would give the beast legs and prevent it from making contact with the water.

The Preeminent moves slowly through Stiix, heading towards the ship as it flees from the city. When the beast makes it to the docks, it is initially stopped by the water, but with help from the ghosts, it manages to wade into the sea.

No matter how many times the ghost knights and the ghost rebels destroyed each other, they only reemerged from the mouth of the Preeminent. Aria finally reached the docks and looked out to the water where the Preeminent was gaining on the ship.

"Lloyd," Aria bent down to his unconscious body and wrapped her arms around him. "No, Lloyd."

Meanwhile, the ninja all regroup with the civilians. On the ship, Ronin tells Wu that they only have enough fuel to get back to Stiix, and not further away from it towards Hallows Trench. Just as it passes the trench, the Preeminent knocks off its rudder, stopping it completely as Kaname returns to Ninjago, having trapped Reika in a separate realm.

"This is the end Princess," Kaname says as he approaches her over Lloyd's body. "I know you feel sad, but this was the only way."

"You keep saying this was the only way," Aria mutters "but it's not."

The civilians on the ship run around in a panic, but Nya stands still. Encouraged by Wu telling her not to be afraid to fail, Nya unlocks her True Potential. In doing so, she creates a massive tidal wave that crashes into the Preeminent, sending it toppling forwards but it stands back up.

"That's not good" Jay says worriedly

Kaname looked up at the Preeminent as it approached the ship.

"A legendary kingdom, should remain a legend." Kaname says "We will all go down in history, as a great nation that suffered at the hand of it's tyrant and her lover. Without them ever knowing-"

"Shut up." Aria says

"What?" Kaname turns to her, sensing a familiar presence.

"I said shut up!" Aria shouts.

Kaname felt paralyzed as darkness radiated from Aria. She laid Lloyd's body down on the ground as she stood up. The rebel ghosts quickly came to Kaname's aid as Aria's knights were all already defeated.

"Your way, doesn't mean it's the right way." Aria says as she looks up at Kaname, her eyes in the form of slits. "A legend must remain a legend.. bullshit."

"It's over!" Kaname shouts almost desperately "Stop fighting! Please!"

"One thing you forget Kaname," Aria glares at him "legends never die."

The rebel ghosts surround Aria and attack her at once. They were all pushed away and the roar of a dragon echoed across the ocean, catching everyone on the ship's attention.

"Guys!" Kai shouts

"Look!" Cole points to the docks.

"It can't be," Wu mutters in shock.

From the army of ghosts, arose a large black dragon. Kaname was knocked back as the dragon flew into the sky. She powers up an energy beam and it shoots out from her mouth at the Preeminent who shrieks in pain.

"Everyone get down!" Wu orders.

Everyone quickly gets down and hides behind things. The Preeminent turns to face Aria just as she roars black fire at it. They heard the Preeminent screech in pain even louder then before. Lloyd began to open his eyes as he saw the creature in the sky.

"Aria," he mutters.

Kaname got on his feet as the Preeminent was falling into the sea.

"No!" Kaname shouts.

"Our allies may be gone," Lloyd says "but as long as we still breathe. We'll fight for what they all believed in, our home."

The Preeminent began dissolving into the water, destroying the Cursed Realm and killing all its inhabitants, with the Cursed Realm pulling all of the ghosts into the water. It's tentacle grabbing onto Kaname who held onto the docks.

Aria flew back and landed on the docks transforming back into her human form. Aria walked over and stood before Kaname who looked up with her, not with hatred, but sadness.

"Kaname," Aria says sadly "Why?"

"My answer is as it always is your highness," Kaname responds as he released the realm crystal "to save you."

Kaname's strength failed and he was pulled into the water with the Preeminent. Disappearing forever. Aria turned away from the water and walked towards Lloyd who was now sitting up.

"So, looks like you learned something new." Lloyd says jokingly.

"Yeah," Aria replies as she held her hand out to him.

Lloyd grabbed onto her hand and she helped him to his feet. Lloyd put his arm around her shoulders as she helped support him. The ninja's ship was making its way back as the two headed to the opposite side of the island.

"You know," Aria looks up at the sky as they walked "I'll miss them."

"Yeah," Lloyd agrees as he laid his head against her shoulder "me too."
