Almost a year had passed, Aria and Lloyd had cleaned up the entire castle along with the ruined town. It was looking like a real kingdom again, but a lonely one as it had no citizens.

"Holy shit!"

Aria perked up from her spot on the couch, across from her was Lloyd, shutting the adult novel of the Servant of Evil. Aria had read it prior to him, still shocked from it as well.

"I was right, wasn't I?" Aria questions

"Yeah, you weren't kidding," Lloyd shook his head "That was brutal... Princess Sophia and Noah were beheaded by their own people. I mean- in the children's book it said they died, but it wasn't like graphic."

"I know," Aria laughs "your reaction is priceless though."

"I'm just.." Lloyd put the book down "why is that our hint?!"

"The end of the story is they were beheaded," Aria sighs "but what does that mean for us?"

"That we're gonna die too?" Lloyd questions.

"I guess," Aria leaned back against the couch "but it doesn't make sense why dad and everyone keeps saying 'they don't know.'"

"You're right." Lloyd agrees "I'm at a loss."

The two jumped in their seats when there was a sudden knock at the door.

"Did you hear that?" Lloyd questions

"Nope," Aria shook her head fast.

Lloyd stood up from the couch and headed to the door.

"Lloyd don't!" Aria ran after him.

When Aria got to the door, Lloyd was holding an envelope. Aria walked towards him slower as he opened it.

"It's addressed to you," Lloyd tells her before reading the letter "Master Chen personally invites you to compete in the Tournament of Elements as the Master of Darkness. I know you have questions, and I have the answers. You may bring that S- no it's crossed out," he shook his head and continued reading "friend you're so fond of, but only Elementals can compete. Princess Aria of Del." Lloyd paused in shock before finishing "we've been awaiting your return."

"Awaiting my return?" Aria questions as she takes the letter from him.

"Their's an address where we're supposed to meet them," Lloyd says curiously.

"You have questions and I have the answers," Aria repeats.

"You're not seriously thinking of going, are you?" Lloyd asks.

"Well..." Aria turns to him "He said I can bring you."

Aria stares at the paper in her hand as she approaches the docks with Lloyd behind her, they were late. Yet, the boat remained there, they weren't just inviting her to come; they expected her to. The guards suddenly all stand up straight as a man with a mustache and an evil look, walks down towards her.

"Princess Aria," the man greets her with a deep bow "we've been expecting you."

"Were you now?" Aria questions "I'm more interested in how you know who I am?"

"All questions will be answered in time my lady," the man stood up straight "I am Clouse. I serve the organizer of this competition, Master Chen..." Clouse's eyes shifted to Lloyd who stood with a suspicious look behind Aria "I see, he is with you."

"I never go anywhere without him." Aria responds calmly.

"You never did," Clouse says as he stood aside, gesturing for her to board to boat.

"Are you sure?" Lloyd whispers to her

"No," Aria replies "but we're going."

Aria begun up the stairs with Lloyd a step behind her, watching the guards carefully. They stepped onto the boat and immediately all eyes were on them, specifically, Aria.

"God damn!"

"Don't tell me..." Lloyd mutters as he slowly turns his head.

"I could pick that voice out from a crowd," Aria says as she sighs.

Sure enough they were right, as they turned to their right, there stood the ninja. Kai had his hand over Reika's mouth, who was staring at Aria with her finger pointed at them. The rest of the ninja were just looking at the two with a shocked look, along with Garmadon who was standing beside them.

"Look at you, alive and well." Aria says, "Last we saw you old man you were swimming with the fishes."

"A pleasure as always Aria," Garmadon replies with his eyes narrowed.

"Ah-" Kai pulled his hand away from Reika "You licked me!"

"Serves you right," Reika sticks her tongue out at him before turning her eyes back towards Aria "how dare you deny me the right to point out those voluptuous tatas!"

"And Aria's 18 so we have to hear this again," Garmadon mutters "great... last year was so peaceful."

At Reika's comment, Lloyd annoyedly stood in front of Aria, blocking her from Reika's sight.

"You're the worst you know that!" Lloyd shouts

"I'm only 19!" Reika argues "If I wanna simp over a hot woman I'm free to do so!"

"Not to my woman you're not!" Lloyd argues.

"Like hell she would choose to be with a man!" Reika shouts before turning away sulking "Why are the hot ones always psycho."

"I can still hear you!" Lloyd shouts.

"Looser!" Reika sticks her tongue out at him.

"Idiot!" Lloyd growls

"They fight like children," Aria mutters.

"Mhm," Garmadon nods in agreement.

Aria and Garmadon turn to each other, not noticing they were now all grouped together. Aria took a step away and Garmadon coughed.

"What are you two doing here?" Garmadon questions "Don't tell me you're sponsoring this?

"I was invited old man," Aria tells him "This isn't some plot put together by me this time."

"Good..." Garmadon turns to the ninja who shrug.

The group looks back to see Lloyd and Reika still shouting insults at each other.

"Why did you bring him then?" Garmadon asks.

"You know, I'm beginning to question that myself." Aria replies "Why did you bring her?"

"I didn't exactly choose who came.." Garmadon tells her.

"Hey!" Reika and Lloyd stop arguing to look at the two "We can hear you!"

Aria and Lloyd stood by the Ninja as they watched the other Masters display their powers.

"So, do you know that man Sensei?" Reika asks.

"Don't be fooled by his attire. Clouse is a Master of Dark Arts and Master Chen's number two" Garmadon replies.

"Why haven't you or Wu ever told us there are others with powers like us?" Kai asks

"Because there are some things we don't want you to know. You were led to believe you were special, yet you never questioned where your powers came from" Garmadon answers "Everyone on this ship is a descendant of an original Elemental Master. They were the First Spinjitzu Master's guardians, each endowed with an Elemental Power that has passed down through generations."

"Power lies in all of you. It only needs to be awoken. The fighters here serve no master and have managed to unlock their own True Potential. For instance, that Paleman. A distant relative to the Master of Light. Watch closely and you'll see how he's stayed hidden all these years" Paleman disappears. Griffin Turner runs by. "Then There's Griffin Turner. Grandson to the Master of Speed"

Jay laughed "Master of Speed? Pfft. That's not an Element"

"So asks the Master of Lightning" Garmadon comments

"Oh, snap, he got you there." Cole laughs

"Through generations elemental power is often weakened" Garmadon explains before glancing at Aria "However.."

"There is someone here who's a direct descendent of the original master right?" Reika asks as Aria smirks behind them

"Indeed," Garmadon sighs "Aria is the Overlord's daughter, therefore a direct descendent of the master of darkness, so she has the most connection to her power out of all of you."

"Well, uh, who's she?" Kai asks looking at Skylor.

"Ooo yeah," Reika peers over Kai's shoulder.

"I don't know. Most of these people I have not seen. But they will all be gunning for you. You are Ninja. You serve with honor. Here, that means very little" Garmadon says.

Kai sees Karlof harassing Skylor "Well, maybe honor means something to me" He walks up to them.

"This none of his business. Karlof cold. Karlof just want her cloak" Karlof says.

Kai crossed his arms "You look like you got big enough mittens. Why not leave the gal alone?"

"These not mittens. These crush Ninja!" Karlof shouts angrily.

"Ha, I'd like to see you try" Kai taunts.

"Don't think Karlof afraid of you" Karlof said

"No, you don't think much at all, do you?" Kai says and Karlof lifts him "Unh! Just jump in whenever you feel like it guys"

"You say Karlof not smart?" Karlof questioned raising a fist

Karlof punches Kai.

Garmadon stops the Ninja from intervening "Kai started this. He can finish it."

They both start fighting, soon enough everyone on the ship were suddently frozen in place. An unfamiliar feeling took over them, fear.

"Aria," Garmadon, who was unaffected by it, turns to the girl.

Aria's eyes were glowing purple as she stared down the people on the ship.

"Sorry," Aria says as her eyes changes back to green, and everyone was left gasping for air "I was getting annoyed."

"I'm sorry if I was cold to you earlier" Skylor breaks the silence as she helps Kai up.

"We're here!" Clouse suddently announced "Welcome to Chen's Island"

The ninja went to the front of the boat to see the island with a massive building

"I swore to never return" Garmadon declared

"You know, you should never swear. It's a sign of weak verbal skills." Jay comments

"If Zane's on that island, we'll find him. We have to." Reika says

Garmadon looks over at Aria who was talking to Clouse "Just what are you planning Clouse?"
