Just outside of Garmadon's Monastery, the Ninja are busy hiding their vehicles when they heard a voice.

"What are you all doing here?" Misako asks as she approaches.

The ninja all turned to Misako.

"The Overlord's back and New Ninjago City has fallen under his control." Kai tells her "He has Sensei Wu"

"Wu's tough." Misako says "There's a reason he's lived as long as he has"

"Where's Reika?" Kai asks

"Yeah, and where's Lord Garmadon?" Cole questions

"He no longer goes by Lord. Here, he is Sensei Garmadon and he won't be back until this evening's lesson" Misako replies "Reika is with him, you all can wait inside for them, but your weapons are not allowed. Ever since he was saved, Garmadon sworn an oath to never fight in hope to make up for his evil past. It's an oath he takes very seriously."

"You guys go on ahead, I will stay back and watch over them" Zane says and the Ninja give him their Techno Blades.

Aria and Lloyd sat together inside Borg's office with the Overlord on the screen. In the next room, Wu's mind was being analyzed to find the ninja. Lloyd was on his computer making new bots, using Zane's blueprint that they received from P.I.X.A.L's scan.

"Do not look upset my daughter," the Overlord says "the plan was going perfectly. It was thanks to that meddling inventor that we failed."

"No it's my own," Aria argues "my emotions play a big part in my powers. If i cannot control them, then I have no use for them."

"You will learn in time," the Overlord tells her "Trust me, it comes with age."

At nightfall, the Ninja sit down with the other students for training. They gasp when they see Garmadon's shadow has four arms. This turns out to be someone else, who opens the door for him.

"Ah ninja," Garmadon turns to them "glad you could join us."

"Check out the new Sensei. Looking sharp" Jay whispers to Cole

"Silence!" Garmadon hits him with his staff.

"Ow!" Jay whines

Garmadon looks around "Where is-"

"I'm here" Reika runs in the door "I'm sorry I'm late sensei"

"Hey sis," Kai waves to her

"Kai?!" Reika looks surprised "Guys?"

"Close your mouth and open your ears." Garmadon instructs. He taps his staff on the ground "Tonight's lesson is the Art of the Silent Fist. To fight without fighting. May I have a volunteer?"

"Ooo me me!" Reika raises her hand

"Come," Garmadon waves her up

"The Ultimate Battle: Round Two!" Nya shouts

"Attack me. But please, no powers. You know I happen to like my monastery" Garmadon says and the kids laugh. Reika charges at him, but Garmadon dodges, making her run into a table "You see, the key is balance. Let your opponent fight themself" He dodges more of Reika's attacks. "Let the enemy tire themself"

Garmadon yawns then dodges, Reika slams into a support column.

"Pupils, I give you the most powerful Ninja in all the land, the Golden Ninja" Garmadon says and the kids laugh, but the Ninja facepalm.

"Hehehe," Reika laughs as she looks up at Garmadon from the floor "that's a nice trick Sensei."

Garmadon helps her stand and she bows to him.

"A great lesson as always," Reika smiles

"I don't believe that's our sister," Kai whispers to Nya

"Me neither," Nya agrees

"Now, let's divide into groups" Garmadon says

Kai pairs up with Jay and hits him "Ow!"

"Perfect" Garmadon says

They hear a scream.

"The Techno Blades!" Kai shouts

The ninja run out and see Zane leading P.I.X.A.L. to the monastery.

"It's P.I.X.A.L.. But how did she find us?" Cole questions

"How about we take her apart to find out?" Kai suggests

Garmadon and Reika arrive at the scene.

"Please, she was only doing what she was programmed to do. She may hold many answers, but perhaps there is an easier way" Zane activates his Techno Blade.

Garmadon stepped forward "No. I—"

Jay stops him "Ah, relax. Ain't a weapon, only hacks into things"

Zane redeems P.I.X.A.L. She gasps. "Where am I? Why am I tied up?"

"You were under the control of the Overlord. How did you find us?" Zane asks

"They've mined Sensei Wu's memory. The Overlord knows all of your hiding places" P.I.X.A.L. answers and the ninja gasp.

"My brother. Is he...is he okay?" Garmadon asks

"Yes, but the Overlord wants Reika, the gold ninja. The Golden Power is the only way he can escape the digital realm and become real." P.I.X.A.L. replies

"Ok but why did Borg give us the Techno Blades to protect? Why are they so important?" Kai asks

"Because together, they can reboot the system, wipe the master computer clean, and destroy the Overlord virus for good" P.I.X.A.L. answers then gasps "I didn't come alone"

"Uh, who else is with you?" Jay questions

"Aria and Lloyd with their army of Nindroids" P.I.X.A.L. replies

"Not again!" the ninja whine

The Nindroids reveal themselves as Aria and Lloyd come out from hiding behind them.

"Surprise!" Aria laughs

"Miss us?" Lloyd adds mockingly

"Son," Garmadon raises his staff

"Garmadon," Lloyd replies darkly

"Five versus twenty, probability of survival too low to quantify" P.I.X.A.L. says

Reika fired a beam at one of the bots and it glows with her power.

"Ah!" Reika jumped back "I think I just powered it!"

Aria and Lloyd laugh as the ninja group together.

"We need to get out of here" Nya says

"Get them!" Lloyd commands the bots

The ninja run to their vehicles, with the bots quickly behind them. As the vehicles begin rushing off, Aria fires a beam of darkness at them, destroying the vehicles. Lloyd approaches with his bots before turning back to Aria.

"They're not here!" Lloyd tells her angrily

"Damn it!" Aria curses "Where did they go?!"

The ninja safely emerges from a water wheel that they used to escape

"Won't be long until they find us. We should get a move on" Cole says

"I'm coming with you," Garmadon steps up "It's my fault Lloyd and Aria turned out this way. I want to make sure Reika is safe."

"Aw thanks sensei," Reika says

"I'll stay and look after the monastery" Misako suggests

"Good idea," Garmadon smiles to her "watch after the students. Be careful in case they come back"

"I will," Misako promises before heading back

"Wait. If he wants me, and the techno Blades are the only things that can stop him, shouldn't we split up, just in case?" Reika suggests

"Good thinking. Zane's Falcon knows the secret location of my Samurai X Cave. You and Garmadon go and take what you need to get as far away from us as possible" Nya says

"What are you guys gonna do?" Reika asks "Those Nindroids aren't gonna let you step one foot into the city."

"We're gonna shut down the power" Nya replies confidently

Aria and Lloyd returned to Ninjago city where they met with the Overlord in Borg tower.

"They escaped again," Aria growls

"Don't worry my daughter," the Overlord says "I already have a plan in motion."

Aria sighs before her and Lloyd get back to work. Lloyd continued working on his new bots while Aria just stared out at Ninjago city.

"Why do you seem so down child?" the Overlord asks as his portable screen moved closer to her

"When you died.. I realized the world wasn't in favor of us." Aria replies, not taking her eyes off the city. "The world views us as the bad guys.. but just because someone doesn't support your views.. does that truly make us wrong?"

"You've asked me that before," the Overlord says

"What?" Aria looks at him confused

"Nothing dear," the Overlord says "just know they are the ones that are wrong. Fight for what we believe in, and don't let others change your view."

"This is all for revenge though isn't it," Aria turns to his screen "this was our kingdom first.. and we're just taking it back."

"Exactly," the Overlord responds

In the distance, an explosion caught Aria's eye. All the lights in the city began to shut off in a surge.

"No," Aria turned to her father's screen

"My hard-drive Aria!" the Overlord says in panic "Get my-"

The surge had reached them and all the power went out. Lloyd ran over to the main computer where Aria followed. Aria lit a fire in her hand as Lloyd quickly ejected the hard-drive.

"I got it," Lloyd says

"What do we do now?" Aria asks worriedly "They got to the power source."

"You come with me," The two turned around as they heard a laugh "if you don't want all your hard work going to waste."
