I thought I would fall off from the motorcycle as Elyssa took a sharp left turn. But, I controlled my reaction and managed to avoid yelling or screaming. Instead, I moved closer to Elyssa and gripped her backpack tightly.

At first, I was holding onto the back side of the motorcycle which Elyssa found weird. "You know most of the guys take out girls on a date with a motorcycle so that they can reach close intimacy. But it looks like they would be disappointed to find out that you are cheating." I rolled my eyes and still gripped the back side leaning on my hands.

"When we reach tour destination, you would be holding on to me for the dear life of it." She tried to scare me off. To be honest I don't mind the close proximity with Elyssa. But I do mind protecting my honor and word. So, when I said. "I wouldn't be so sure about it. In the end, I will be sitting just like this." I thought it would be easy to hold on the vehicle rather than the driver.

But, as the vehicle started to lean down on every turn and get faster I understood that my conclusion was wrong. "HOW ARE YOU HOLDING ON?" Elyssa said loudly. I wanted to shrug but got afraid of falling. "IT IS JUST AVERAGE DRIVING. STEP UP YOUR GAME." I said as Elyssa turned to the emptier road.

She slowed down and turned to look at me. Glass in front of her helmet reflected the sun and I squinted my eyes. "You better be ready, kid." She said and with a sudden movement of hand, motorcycle roared and jerked forward.

The suddenness of action shocked me more than the action itself. The rush of air caught me by surprise, I moved closer to Elyssa, starting to get disturbed by the fact that it would be so easy to fall off of it.

Elyssa made a sudden U-turn and I swear if I moved my hand closer it would have touched the asphalt. I was tempted to do so too. Before I got the chance to try it motorcycle jerked back to the normal position as Elyssa sped up even more and as we neared another turn I unconsciously put my hands around her and with the sudden turn motorcycle stopped and wind that has been blowing the life out of me stopped.

"I knew that you would give in," Elyssa said with a smile in her voice as she took off her helmet. I just groaned and climbed down. "Are you serious? Were you planning to turn like this until I would give in?" I said with my voice a little louder than the normal but I was smiling through it.

"Well, I was going to give up after a few turns. But luckily you gave in first." She said and secured her helmet around the motorcycle. Then she moved closer to me. Both of us were smiling, probably from the rush of adrenaline we got. Elyssa walked closer to me and moved her hands towards me.

I stood frozen in my place not knowing what to do. Should I move my hands towards her too? What was she even doing? Elyssa looked at me and her hands found my chin.

Then she un-clipped the helmet and took it off turning towards her motorcycle to put it into the place.

I let out a shaky breath and looked around. "Um, where are we and what are we going to do?" I asked. Elyssa took off her backpack and opened it, showing me the inside of it.

It was packed, there were some food packages and think I saw part of the picnic blanket. "I thought after stressing you out and proving that I was brilliant, we should have lunch," Elyssa said and I nodded. "Good idea, I am starving."

We were near the little park, not many people were here around work times. Only a few kids on the playground and luckily, they were not that loud.

I took out food while Elyssa positioned the blanket. She had bought sandwiches and water. Simple and just what a hungry person needs.

I smiled at food which made Elyssa nearly choke on water. "You love food more than you love people." She said. I nodded with a chuckle. "Food will never break my heart so, I am going to stick with it."

Elyssa nodded along and took a bite out of her sandwich. "So, what is the deal with you?" She asked while looking at the sky. "What do you mean?" I asked too.

"You know what I mean. The high friend of yours, Casey is it? She talked rather cryptic about your motorcycle problem." Elyssa said.

I knew that it will come up in some talk.

"How did you even know that Casey smokes weed?" I said with a chuckle, hoping to distract Elyssa from this conversation.

"Olivia, you seem to forget that I work in a gang. It is our job to know who smokes what. Especially if the said smoker has a lot of money. We also run background checks on everyone we encounter. So far, your background is the emptiest one. Nothing before you moved here." And conversation drifts back to my sketchy self.

"Well, sometimes people change their names," I said without looking at her. I turned my attention to the small lake and a few children playing around it.

"Usually people change their names when they are running away from justice," Elyssa added.

"But sometimes people run away from other things too." I took a gulp from water and felt Elyssa looking at me. I waited until her gaze switched to other things, to put the water bottle down.

"Run away from what? Or who?" Elyssa turned herself to face me. I sighed. "Bad people." Bad people who are their family.

I looked at her and she had a puzzled look on her face. "You know, 'bad' is a really general word to describe someone."

I rolled my eyes and turned to face her too. "It is not like the whole description of a person. It is just how I see their aura." I said and Elyssa looked even more confused.

I sighed and went on to explain it to her. "I think that everyone has their like aura, vibe, or whatever. The thing that you see in them when you first look at them. It is like the energy they give off. When I do art it really helps to think about these certain energies."

Elyssa nodded along while listening to me. "And what's my aura?" I looked at her and squinted my eyes thinking about how I would describe hers.

"Mix of daring and cool," I said and she smiled. "Cool? What are you 6?" I rolled my eyes and hit her arm lightly.

"Though I would say that you are right. I am the coolest person I know." She said to which I laughed. Now she nudged my arm.

But after it, her hand never left mine. She just slid her hand down my arm and put it on top of mine, giving it a light squeeze. All while she still looked at the clouds and I still watched the kids play in the lake.
