It was the longest fifteen minutes of his friends life waiting for him inside the bar. Finally the guard burst in, calling out for Jon.

"SIR JON! SIR JON!" Briggs' voice was booming out from the door to the dance floor. Everyone turn around to look at him.

"What going on Briggs?" Jon asked. He was getting reading to lock up his office to go home because his pregnant wife is coming to get after he called her that the stag party was being called quits.

"What's happening, Jon?" Alric asked. Looking between Jon and the panting guard.

"It's Sir Alden...." Briggs started, not knowing who to talk and how to start.

"Spit it out, Briggs!" Jon's voice echoed as he yelled, losing patience. " What about him? Where's Alden?" he then continued.

"Two men and a lady took him to a car and drove off. It was too late for me to see it." He felt so bad and worried that he will lose his job. This is the first for him in years that he had served here in slinkee's since it open with Jon's brother.

"Kelly./Kelly." They said it in a unison sounding chorus. Worried and anger written all across their faces.

"Get Neil with the CCTV." He calmly told Briggs. Briggs nodded and left.

"Sam, check the parking lot. Alric try Alden's car for ay signs. Rich get everyone out here. Troy check with the CCTV. I'll call Maine to let her know." Tony said it all in one breath.

Jon just looked at them. This is the first time that this happens, good thing he had it done when he need it done a few years back when his friends are going through some tough time with some weird threats. It was nice to know people in high places. He was able to have access with CCTV on both ends of the street all the way to all four corners.

"Tony, my wife will be here in a few. She maybe able to help out you guys. She was able to figure out some stuff when one of my friend was kidnapped a couple of years ago. Don't ask me how but I know she can help you." Jon may not be so close to them but he also have his group of friends that went through some crazy stuff.

"Okay....." Tony wasn't done talking when the door opened wide and came Ivy, Maine, Jing and Patty.

"Tony! What happen to Alden? Where is he?" Maine came running hugging Tony and crying. This is the most heart wrenching night for her. Most scarry. Most lost and empty. It's worse than when she got stuck on the dark street not too far from her condo, where there were that three drunk and high guys trying to get to her inside her car. She had lost Alden once too many times in the past because of her and he just patiently waited for her but not now, not ever.

"We are trying to see who got him. Briggs and Troy are going through the CCTV footage right now." Tony explained.

"I know who took Alden." Jing butted in.

"Me, too." Ivy echoed right after Jing. Anger resounds on her voice.

"Who?! / Who?!" Jon, Tony and Alric chorused. They somewhat know who they are thinking.

"Who else?!" Ivy said with so much angst and annoyance.

"Kelly!" Jing said with vindiction. With so much hate. With so much disgust.

The night become chaotic. Cops came. Investigation started. Alden's whole family came down to Slinkee's. The sun starting to rise up and greeting everyone a new ray of hope. Yeah, hope. Hope that they would get through this. Hope that they could see him before sundown today. Maine was sitting on the bench outside where Alden was last seen the night before.

In a few a couple of weeks they are getting married and this thing happens. Her mind and thoughts took her back on the first day they met. The first first day they bump into each other, literally. The second time it happens and the third and the way how fate keep on making them meet in a most awkward and weirdest way. The time that she thought a brown elf came into her unit to clean up all broken bottles and moving her in her bedroom. The time she had ran away and ended up in Alden's home in Bacolod. The adventures and the running away with him to a place that she never have thought existed. The nice and sweet people she have met along the way through him is a memory she would treasure for the rest of her life. The time she found out that Alden was the man she was arrange to hurt her a bit but she was very happy that they have met and it was meant to be. She became so much happier in life with him. He is her life. Alden is her life.

Going back in time, made her realized that he is her endgame and her endgame is not going to end this way but Kelly took him. She may have succeeded right now but that won't take long. She declared war, war is she's getting. Kelly took what's hers and Kelly will earn her anger and revenge.

"Maine." Tony called pulling her out of her deep thoughts. He sat besides her and handed her a handkerchief.

"Thank you." She took it and wiped her tears. She didn't realized that she was actually crying.

"We'll get him back in time." Tony nudged her shoulder. It was a soothing assurance that all their friends are working together in finding Alden.

"I know we will. I know we'll get him back." She said as looks down. Pulled a deep sigh and look up straight towards the street. "I know he will came back. He promised to marry me." Tony pulled where for a hug. Ivy was at distance rubbing her belly feeling so sad for Maine. She have come to love Maine like a sister and she is aching for her. She knows that Tony and Maine were a thing before but doesn't see that anymore in Maine and Tony's eyes.

"Yes, he will and we'll make sure of that." He heard what Tony had said but she didn't move. She just wanted to cry and sulk right now. She knows that she... they still have a lot of work to do. "Maine, there is something you need to know." Tony added.

"What?" She looked up and stare him alternately in his dark brown eyes. Maine saw a little apprehension. She felt that he was trying hold it, whatever it is, back.

"Uhm... I don't know how to say this but..." He swallowed an invisible lump in his throat. "Do you know that Kelly is engaged?" He asked.

"Yeah, I think. I may have heard it..." She nodded but Tony could see disinterest in her eyes and expressions. "Do you know who is she engaged to?" Tony asked her. She narrowed her eyes at him and furrowed her brows. She's not understanding the relevance of his question. But then again, with Alden missing, and Kelly as the suspect, she's considering that maybe, just maybe, Kelly's fiance is a hoodlum and that he had helped her take Alden. She grabbed her heart. She is now feeling the fear. She is very afraid to where mind is taking her.

"Wha... You mean... Kelly and her fiance abducted Alden?" She was more confuse now. How? "What kind of idiot of a fiance that Kelly has to go along with her demented mind?" She scrunch up her nose and there goes her mind again.

"Oh my God, Tony. Are they going to hurt Alden? Are they going to kill him?" She stood up and started pacing back and forth. Her mind in full throttle. It's on hyper-speed. It's on overdrive. "Please, tony. Tell me that that's not possible to them. It's not possible, right?" She broke down again and cry.

"Maine, listen. You are overthinking things. That is not what I meant, okay." Tony stood up to comfort her. "Will you please sit down. Let's talk." He gently guided her back to the bench.

"Maine...." It was Ivy. She pulled her head up to look at Ivy's fullness. "Did you know that Chad, you're best friend is Kelly's fiance?" Ivy asked. MAine blinked a couple of time trying to register what she said in her head.

"Wait... what?" She asked. She's all confused. She's not understanding any of this. What it has to do with all this kidnapping and why they have to do that? She stood up angry. "Does Chad have something to do it?" She asked her fist balled up.

Since Tony and Ivy wasn't sure as to how Chad got into the mix, well, they know how but they weren't sure if he is with Kelly when he took Alden away. Tony made a mental note. Why would Chad go along with what Kelly wanted when he said that she loves Kelly and that he's only a friend to Maine? Was he telling the truth or was he just playing everybody including Maine? But still, it doesn't add up. He came here to give Alden a heads up, then not even an hour later, Alden went missing or was taken by Kelly. That was his suspicions and he was hoping he's wrong.

"Tony.... There's a call for Maine." Alric came carrying a cordless phone, handing it to Maine. Maine looked at him with a questioning eyes.

"It's for you. I think you need to listen. It'll help Alden." she took the phone from Alric. She looked at everyone around her, she noticed Alden's mom near the entrance of the bar hugging her husband, crying. She took a long deep breath then answered the phone. "It's on speaker." He whispered after.

"Hello?" She said. Not sure who she is speaking with.

"Hello, MD?" With just that name the caller use on her, she already knew who it is.

"What the hell, Chad! I trusted you! I thought you are my friend!" Tears started to fall down her cheeks. Her chest are starting to tighten up. She felt like she can't breath. Why does he have to do this to her? What did she do to deserve this? Yeah, she'd run away. She mustered sometimes. She acted a brat once or twice, but does she really deserve to go through this, let alone Alden? When is this going to be over?

"MD, please. Listen first." He was trying to get her calm down over the phone.

"NO! You listen, you bastard! You bring him back to me right now or I swear to God you will regret that you were even born!" She was so angry that she doesn't know where those words are coming from. She held her forehead and squeezed her eyes shut for a moment. She's feeling dizzy. She's maybe so enrage that's why she's feeling this way.

"MD, listen, please. I have nothing to do with Alden's disappearance." She raised he head up and looked at everyone around her. Her eyes caught Alric behind Tony nodding at her. The phone is on speaker.

"How... but..." She was having a hard time grasping everything that is going on. She knows that time is running and the chance of finding Alden is getting slim. 12 hours had passed. The first few hours is a little okay. 12 hours? It's not good. 24 hours? They are pushing their luck. 36 hours? The chances are very slim to none. 48 hours? He might have been dead already, and she can not take that. "Where are you?" She then asked him.

"I am following Kelly. I am not sure where she's going. I don't want to take a chance to be seen by her and those two guys with her...." He was still talking when Maine interrupted him.

"How did you know? And why are you doing this, Chad?" She asked, tears are still streaming down her face. Ivy wrapped an arm around her. Knowing ang feeling Ivy next to her somewhat calmed her down a bit. She took a deep breath.

"I was there last night talking to Alden and his friends. Tony was there, too. I was hoping to get help if he finds out what Kelly has been planning." She let him speak this time. She wants to hear it all. She may not be able to grasp it all right away but she knows she will, eventually. "I didn't know that right after I left, Kelly would swoop and take him. I was the stop light at corner east of the bar when I saw her car beat the red light. I know her it was her because it was her car. I decided to follow her instead. I was gonna call but phone died. I keep on going because I do not want to lose her. Maine, she just had a miscarriage and she's suffering from grief. I don't know how long she's going grieve over the loss of our child and I know, it was my fault." Maine felt a sharp pain in her chest but she continued to listen.

"We went to see a doctor a few weeks ago. The doctor told me that she not only grieving but she have also experiencing depression because of it. She left that night and didn't come back till late in the morning the next day. Then I got a call from her doctor checking up on her, she was checking up on her because she didn't show up that morning. I asked what happen since her next appointment was set for the following week." Maine cut him off.

"Where are you right now?" She asked. She's a little calm now but still have the urge of strangling someone.

"I am in....." It was quite a pause then he spoke again. "I think we are in Isabela." He then said. Tony wrote it down and pass it Alric. A cop was standing near by listening to their conversation also taking notes.

"Do you have a place to stay there?" Maine ask. She may be mad at him but she's worried about Alden. And if Chad is not safe then shell lose the chance of finding where Alden's at.

"I can stay in the car." He replied. A long eerie quietness followed before she speak up again.

"Wouldn't she recognize your car?" She asked a little alarmed.

"I don't think so." He said and paused again. "I just got this car yesterday morning as my supposedly surprise for her." She wasn't sure if that may still put him in danger or what. If Kelly's mind is going south, Chad may be in danger, too. And Alden may be next. Her hurt thumped like it was it's last.

"We will send someone to where you at. Leave you phone on and charge it as much as you can. I'll call a friend of mine who is really good with tracking locations. Answer it when I call you." That was Jon. They exchange pleasantries and words and reminders and few thank you's was thrown in there, too, then they all bid goodbye. Chad hung up. Maine felt her heart ached.

"Bye, Chad. Take care please. Kelly will need you." Chad hung up. Maine felt her heart ached. She then handed the phone back to Jon.

They were able to get his phone number through the kindness of what we called "caller ID". Jon got on the phone to call few of a friend that he knows that can help him with finding his other friend. He excused himself when he saw a pregnant coming out of the bar. Ivy gently guided Maine back inside the bar so she could at least relax and drink water. Everyone followed.

"For what it's worth, she will not hurt him." The pregnant lady said as Maine passed by in front of her. Maine looked at her. She's pretty and radiant looking with her big round belly. She then looked at Ivy's small bulge, she wants them. She is imagining herself pregnant. But then she stopped herself. She can't be. She can't be thinking something like that at the times like this. Alden is more important.

"Why did you say that?" She asked. She can't help herself to smile facing the pregnant lady.

"Hi, I'm Sheri. Jon's wife." She introduced herself. "Let's go inside. You need to relax a bit and drink some water. Thinking so hard and worrying too much is not going to help your cause at the moment. You need to be strong for him." She continued to say. Maine saw Jon smiled staring at Sheri while talking on the phone. Maine walked with ivy and Sheri back inside the bar.

Once inside, she look around and was surprised to actually see the whole place in broad daylight like this. It was very cozy and homey. It doesn't look like a bar at all. She haven't seen the whole place. The first time she was here, she was taken to the VIP lounge. Same as the other times.

"Wow. This is actually big." She said in amazement.

"Oh, we just got this side done a few weeks ago. Jon had it extended since most his friends are married and having kids, so are we." She giggled. "We get bookings for a children's party, baptisms and Ms. Richards always calls her for her party plannings, so Jon and two of his business partner decided to extend the place since the back part of the lot was being use for nothing." She was one bubbly lady to speak with but Maine could also sense the straightforwardness and stubbornness in every word she say.

"Thank you for letting us bother you guys." Maine said, apologizing for the inconvenience they had caused the couple.

"Oh don't worry about. This is nothing compare to what Mack and DJ went through. We are always being thrown in places that we don't even think that the worst could happen." She said with a smile. Maine crunched up her forehead with what she had heard.

"What do you mean by 'this is nothing compare to your friends'?" She asked.

"Oh, it's a long story. Let's just put it this way. There's that shooting, then kidnapping, then another shooting, then another kidnapping then shooting again. Mack and DJ got shut went into coma but everyone is okay now." Sheri was telling the story like it was nothing. Like it was just one of those scene in the movie. Her heart is pounding inside her chest and she can't breath, then here's this pregnant lady in front of her acting like everything was just simple and it will just pass.

"Hon, will you stop scaring Maine with you DJ/Mack story." Jon chuckled.

"Oh, I heard about that. Is that the Thompson/Richardson case?" Sam butted in from behind her.

"Yeah." Sheri responded with a wide grin.

"Okay, you know what, that was a different case compare to this right now. Let's just drop the story and focus on getting Alden back." Alric growled at everyone. Maine turn to glanced at Alden's parent. She knew that she had heard what Sam and Sheri had said because she cried some more.

"Meng?" Maine turn around to see her mom and her dad with her sibling and their husband and wife.

"Nay! Tay!" She got up and hugged her parent. She felt her wall drop and crumbled to her feet. She started shaking tremendously. She's crying her heart out. Everyone went quiet. They her time to let it all out.

What is going to happen now? Could Chad be able to persuade Kelly? She maybe in doubt right now, but she knows. Their love will find its way back to each other.
