Another art dump? I- I'm back from my grave after more than a month? Wow!

I wouldn't really be surprised if all my audience was gone- I have legitimately no idea what the heck happened that would cause such a late update- I mean I even had spring break to draw! I guess I just got slow and school has been getting in the way, among other things, but I'm back!

School might open on May 10th and if it does I'm beyond screwed .w. Teachers are trying to say that one month won't be worth anything but it'll sure be enough time for me to ruin my grades! So it'd be kinda convenient to extend online education further, especially because of the vaccines- So I'll be honest if it does open up, don't expect an update in May, probably only during the end of the school year quq;;;

But that's just a little update, let's get into the art! I'll start off with everything but the selfish content, and one of those is a request I did for my sister for her friend's birthday- She saw the H.E.R.O.S. drawings and asked for something similar!

This ended up being the lineart which I was pretty happy with! My sister is Scorpio and her friend is Aries, so she requested those types of masks!

But why only the lineart? Because she wanted to color it, at first on paper, but when everything closed because of the virus situation and she couldn't print it, I taught her how to use FA to color and oh boi xD It was a rollercoaster of questions and experiments!

This is what she ended up with and I'm honestly proud of her, it's not bad for a first attempt and only one day! I showed her the blending modes via the wings and she ended up liking the accidental bloody color it made it, so bloody wings! I'm pretty sure the friend liked it so yay!

Next is uh- the only realistic drawing I'll probably ever show but dammit it was a big accomplishment and it took over a week. It was for a painting contest I had to join, and it was country-wide so I had to take it super seriously and painted a portrait of my mom!

Side note, we got 4 hours to do a portrait like this. Four hours, it's insane! So this isn't what we sent in, that one was incomplete, I just finished it as my mom's late birthday gift quq

And it's pretty good! Besides the face, she looks kinda crazy .w. You have no idea how much pain this painting caused me, no wonder the word paint has pain in it- I despise painting-

I got third place though somehow, so I guess it was worth it?

ANYHOO I'll stop complaining and move onto a contest entry I did for Gmrsugarart! This one was private, but since the contest has just ended, I'm allowed to show it! Plus I just wanna talk about it visually because-

Goddamn I'm proud of it?

The only thing I didn't draw was the brick texture, I just put that in from Google cuz I was running out of time .w. But I'm really happy with this, I went with a new painting style I haven't really done before and I'm kinda in love, it was so much fun I'm probably gonna do it more frequently!

Especially the shading against the brick wall and the background, and the h a i r- I'd kill to go back and enjoy the process of this again qwq So except more stuff like this in the future! This style was also inspired by a good OG friend of mine heckkPNG who used to be PolychromePositivity, so thank you, Colors!

Next up, an art trade I did with Celina_the_Bunny! I don't normally do art trades, I haven't done them in a long time so this was really refreshing!

What is with me and going overboard with hair? Either way, I'm not complaining cuz despite it taking long, it was worth it! This whole drawing was super fun to do so yanno what? I might do art trades more often! But only if the character isn't really anything I've drawn before like here, you couldn't pay me to draw another fairy character-

(Christ, I even called this "official" in my files, I was clearly confident this would be the last)

Doesn't seem that bad, right? Until you realize how much more work I've done with my species and basically doubled the amount! Probably took about a week-

Here's the first picture out of the five, some of my main species, Fairy, Butterfly, and the two Dragon types!

Hopefully the instructions make sense, I dunno man I already spent way too much time on these- I think the least obvious one might be the Nightwing's nose, which can be an animal one or a human-like one

I went with a simplistic style for the feet and eyes, let's be fair, it was more than expected .w.

Here's the next three, not much has changed I just gave them some cooler poses!

Side note, I WAS gonna give the ancestors hair again like I used to, but again, this was taking me so long, and drawing out 19 hairstyles would've killed me

This is probably my favorite picture I dunno why .w. I changed a few small things about these guys, the most notable one is that Firefly wings and tails can now be any color scheme, they don't have to be yellow! I feel like whenever I set one single color palette for a species, characters suffer- Only exception is Angels, who I would change if it didn't mean a hundred character redesigns .w.

Again, these guys mostly didn't change, except for Nectarites, specifically Seawalkers! Now their ears, tail, and (optional) fins can be any shape, and their skin color usually has a light hue of the tail/fin color

And possibly the biggest change from the previous version, Demons! You can't really see the Cursed's halo but it's there! As I've mentioned before, Cured Demons are born from one Pure and one Cursed parent, but Remedium was the Demon ancestor before Death stepped in with a curse, causing him to be broken apart into two new ancestors, Pudicitiam and Maledictum

I didn't include Sollashes because they already have a really good ref sheet that isn't outdated yet, and Colorings weren't drawn here because I decided to make them more like deities instead of a species, considering there are only a few of them and they take up the looks of existing species

Speaking of L.R. species, here's a new cutie, another Seawalker! He's shared between Add and I and was accidentally born while messing around with a monster girl maker app- I...I love him???

He was based after betta fish who are friggin gorgeous by the way! I can't get over his cute flower crown, antlers, the friggin bag and the binder, just- Such a bean qq Bristlecone here, Bris for short is gonna be Gem's babysitter whose profession has to do with medicinal plants and healing quq

I tried to make the tail simple I promise-

And since this is technically a redesign of an app-made character, wouldn't it make sense to continue with redesigns?

Or- well this one is more of a redraw of this shite!

I have so many issues with this I won't get into, but the most important of the bunch is the lazy background and how they're just...standing there, staring at you, gazing into your soul...

So I redrew it! :D

The only drawing that has no actual background, woah! :0 I really like the updates they got, I mostly just changed their colors, Rainer's bright cyan hair was bugging me, and I wanted to give Bryn more moody colors, and I'm really happy with the result! And then I just drew a floaty-glowy logo thingie in the middle because I wanted to see what it would look like with no background (spoilers, it looks pretty feckin cool)

B...Bryn became a chub :D He gained some weight after running away!

The more I looked at the redesign of Bryn, the more I started to realize how bad some of his friends' designs were- All except Micah, Micah's is surprisingly still really good, I think I'd just update his wardrobe .w. But that doesn't need a drawing, these three though...

They needed some help .w.

And I delivered! I was really looking forward to drawing this when the idea came to mind, and I'm happy I didn't fail my expectations!

(Granted none of them are wearing clothing suitable for snowy weather but fuckit-)

Let's go in order, shall we? Starting with Maple, who's my least favorite here but still a massive improvement from the original! You can tell I had no ideas in the original, so I just went with a bunch of gradients and bright colors- While this one is a lot more cohesive and heck! He has a friggin beanie! And legwarmers!!

I struggled...soooo much with his colors, I spent two hours playing around with them, that hoodie especially took me too long to experiment with until I finally settled on his eye color

Next is Kyrie, who was a hot mess in the original drawing- They got a massive glow-up, good for them! uvu I decided to tone down their clothing and hair color a little so that their wings would be more eye-catching! I don't like the stupid random yellow eyes I gave them and Remy, so I obviously got rid of that- Oh and heels and makeup, they rock it!

I fixed the two's skin color too, thankfully I've learned how to color dark skin without it looking muted or unnatural quq

And then Remy, my boi! He's probably my favorite here, which is insane considering I had literally no ideas for him going into this, and I was convinced he would turn out terrible!

But aaaaa I friggin love him! His legwarmers match his flannel and he has green glasses, what more could you need?

So, now the five of them are looking much better! Next time I draw Micah, I might as well update his clothing

This next one is uh- kinda random but gosh it was fun to do!

I looked through my old cringy mlp base art. I wish I had more saved but I lost the first fifty or so after my mom's laptop had an emergency reset that wiped everything from it qnq But I still have some left, including this masterpiece!

They're not even centered

Remember me showing this a while back? Of course you do, who could forget such beauty

They all basically have the same hair and only one ear- Foxy, hun...go see a doctor about that skin color

Anyhoo, I redrew it, but with a catch! I used a couple MLP bases for it uvu One of them by darlienjenter16 on DA, and the other by ElementBases? I might be wrong on that

Call me cringy, but I actually really like this .w. Despite me merging two together, it actually looks like they're interacting! The hairstyles are better, the colors are nicer, Chica looks adorable, and this kinda looks like what their first interaction with Springtrap would be? Freddy would just fake smile since he starts off selfish, only caring about his reputation, Gold would be skeptical, Bonnie more confused than anything, Foxy weirded out and Chica just...oblivious (all from my view, of course-)

I dunno why I gave it a forest background from the show, it just kinda looked cool? Plus it gave me the opportunity to do darker shading and put emphasis on their eyes glowing onto their faces and hair!

I always found it weird and absurd whenever MS Paint mlp-fnaf speedpainters drew Bonnie with actual long ears for example, like- it's a friggin PONY

Speaking of FNaF, FNaF has ships, and you know who rates those ships? PT, and you know who missed PT? Everyone

PT has a boyfriend now so of course I had to make shipart .w. He's Add's comfort sona, Eunoia who I just call Yonja for fun-

Add had the idea of drawing them stargazing so...you know damnright I did that but simplified because I ran out of time

I like this! I've never done the thingies sticking out of background...thing, but I like it here! They're watching the rushed northern lights while even more rushed blue bugs surround them at night quq

This whole thing is rushed, I know- But if you squint hard enough, the northern lights actually look pretty good!
