I woke up with a groan
Feeling more tired by the day
The sun has finally risen
Mocking me with a blinding ray

I sprung into action
Grabbing my clothes and shoes
I needed to be faster
There was no time to lose

I rush to the bathroom
Brush my teeth and spray my hair
I grab the handle and tug it open
I have to be somewhere

I walk across the street
Hoping not to get hit
I make it past the park
Wondering why I had to commit

I'm off to class
But school won't wait for me
If I miss too many classes
There goes my degree
